Thursday...already?

Well, I finally made it back in to say "Hi!" It was Monday evening, when I last dropped you a line, and now, it is Thursday already. I have been doing some runnin' the past couple of days, but all in all, have really enjoyed my several days off in a row. I don't have to be back at work till Saturday, at noon.

I rememeber Monday was such a crazy day at work, but for the life of me, I can't remember if we did anything Monday evening. lol I posted Monday evening, but Im not sure if that was after we got back from Landon's, or we spent the evening at home. Pretty bad when you can't even remember what you did two evenings ago. It must be that "sometimers disease", as my m-i-l calls it..."sometimes I member....sometimes I don't" lol I think we stayed home.

Tuesday morning, I dropped Lee off at work, and had considered going on out to Landon's, since I had to be there around 10:30 or so, to take them to the drs. for her ultra sound. But, after dropping Lee off, and tring to call landon, with no answer, I figured they were still sleeping, trying to get as much as possible, before having to get up. So, I came on back home...(considering I didn't have my teeth in...lol...couldn't go to the dr. like that...hahahahaha) and did a few things around the house. Amanda called about 10 or a little after, and I told her I was headed that way before much longer. We were all pretty excited about finding out what the baby was, and were trying to send out "girl" vibes...lol I guess it did the trick, because we ARE going to have a little girl. Amanda almost cried...she was wanting a girl so bad...and Landon was beaming...and grinning from ear to ear, because he was really wanting a girl. Even Gabriel, 3, who didn't take his eyes off the screen during the ultra sound, smiled when we told him he was going to have a little sister...Mary Adele (A-del). So, that definately "made our day!"

Adele was Amanda's grandmothers name, and also her great grandmother's name. I really have a feeling that we're going to get terribly confused when it comes to girls names in this family, before much longer. We, or I should say, found out yesterday, that we have alot of names in the family, that are very very similar...
My cousin's little girls name is: Mary Eva... after my grandmother, Eva
Kirk and Tara-Lee's little girl is : Eva Mirinda...after my Granny also
Now, we're going to have: Mary Adele, with Landon and Amanda
Amanda's cousin, I believe it is, has a little girl who's name is: Eva Adele... so,
between Eva Mirinda, Eva Adele, Mary Adele, and Mary Eva...boy...hope we can keep them all straight! lol Add "Sister", in front of all those names, and you wouldn't know if you had a bunch of "church goin'" women, or was starting a convent. lol Anyway, we are all VERY excited that we're going to have another little girl.

I took Landon to his job interview at Mc Donald's, and thank God, he is now EMPLOYEED!! They told him to come in on Wed. for an orientation...getting uniform, looking around and getting acquainted with the store, paperwork, etc. Then they told him to come in today, for his first day, and will be working the rest of the week...through Sunday, so far. This week he'll be going in from 11-7, which aren't bad hours at all, but will be changing to morning shift, 7-3, which will also be perfect for him. That will give Amanda the evenings open to try and find something. So far, nothing has come through for her. She has had a couple of interviews, but people are a little reluctant to hire someone who is already 5 mos. preg. So, lets just pray that something works out. From the way Landon talked, I think they we pretty impressed, and Landon has already earned brownie points with the boss, when he said he could work some extra time on something that's going on at Mc Donalds...guess they weren't specific. Maybe they have a day that has a bunch of birthday parties or something. Anyway, I think Landon could probably pick up some extra hours, if need be. That is one thing I'll say for him...he's always ready to work extra hours. There were times at pizza hut, that he'd have 60+ hrs. a week. He work every available shift, if possible, or fill in for anyone that wanted time off. I just thank God that he's got the job, and I feel that things are on the up for them now. We're just taking it a little at a time. "One day at a time..sweet Jesus"! That's all we can do.

I do remember that we did eat out at Landon's on Tues. night. I fixed my cashew chicken, which in one of everybodies favorites. I guess, a little celebration dinner, for our new grandaughter!

Wouldn't you know it...Landon is suppose to be at work yesterday at 2, and about noon, it's starts raining cats and dogs. Raining so hard that I can't hardly see the road to drive. Remember, their car isn't working, so Landon was going to have to walk to work. I didn't think I was going to have to go to Ashland, since he was going to walk, so I came home and started on some house work that I was going to try to get done, after dropping Lee off at work. About 11, I headed for Wal-Mart to pick up a couple of things I needed, and when I came out around noon...it was black as night, and pouring buckets. I got drenched just getting to the car, and then had to drive home in it. It was raining so hard it was standing on the roads, and highways, and people pulled off along the side of the road waiting for it to die down. My tires aren't the whippiest, so I'm only driving about 25-30, to keep from hydroplaning down the highway. Then it dawns on me...oh no...Landon can't walk to work in this!!!!! So, when I got home, I called Landon and told him that if it didn't die down in a bit, that I'd just be out to get him and have him to his appt. at 2. It didn't lighten up quite a bit, but still now enough to walk in without getting pretty wet. I really didn't have the gas to go get him and was nursing along my last few $'s till payday tonight. But, just prayed that somehow the gas would hold out, and get me to where I needed to be. I had a bunch of stuff to do today, and knew the gas wasn't going to make it. But, God came through, as usual, when I found $125. suprise in my mail thismorning. So...there's plenty of gas in my car to do what needs to be done today..plus some extra, which is ALWAYS nice!

I have to be at the school today at 2, for a meeting with Moriah's teachers. Moriah is ADD, so we meet with her teachers once a yr. to discuss her progress, etc. She's never been much of one for math...she's a little like me, I just didn't get it after a point. She's been having some problems in the math class that's she's in, so we're going to discuss moving her into another class that may be a little easier for her. It probably won't last more than an hour. I guess that's about it to do today, other than maybe do somemore work on my house, and laundry, since I didn't get it done yesterday, because I eneded up at Landon's most of the afternoon. But bless his heart, when we came back here last night for supper, he helped me straighten up, vacume, and pick up a little. He knew I had put it on hold to go take him to his appt.

Well gee...you think this is long enough? lol Guess I better shut up if I'm going to get anything done before having to leave for the school. I hope you all have a great day, and I'm sure I'll be back here later, probably even before having to go to the school. Take care, all, and I'll talk to ya soon!

Much love,
Lev
