Goodmorning, this Tuesday
Goodmorning, on this Tuesday. Hope this finds everyone fine.
We had some pretty nasty thunderstorms pass though our area last night, but fortunately, nothing to drastic, just tons and tons of rain. It developed into some pretty bad storms, tornados, hail, and the such, just to the east of us, after passing over. I'm sure glad that part of the storm didn't hit us. With the storms being so bad, after I got off work yesterday, I went out to Landon's to pick them up and bring them back to the house with us. They live in a mobil home, and I DIDN'T want them in that thing during that kind of storm. When I left work, it was raining so hard that I couldn't even see the road. I told myself then, that I had NO business driving out there in that kind of weather, and even saw wrecks on the way there, due to the rain being so heavy. But, I guess the mother in me kicked in, and knew that I had to get the kids out of the trailer, especially, not knowing what kind of storms might hit, and the tornado warnings that were out at the time. It took me 30 mins. to drive 15 miles. I didn't drive hardly over 25 mph, the whole way there. The rain was horrid. It dumped a whole lot of rain on Columbia, and some roads in town, they said, had as much as a foot of water on them, and many unpassable in lower areas. By the time we got back into Columbia, to pick up Lee from work, the rain had subsided quite a bit, and was moving to the east. After we got back to our house, it did cut loose and rain quite a bit more, but nothing at all like it was when I first got off work. By the time I took the kids back home, the rain had stopped, and the majority of the storms were east of us. The weather outlook for the next few days, appears to be a nice one, and it doesn't look like we have anymore bad storms or rain due for the next few days. Temps. back up in the upper 80's, and sunshine. The humidity isn't suppose to be quite as bad either, so that will help a bunch.
I've got the day off today. I'm headed out to landon's later, to run him around a bit, and check in on some of the job applications that he's turned in. Please keep him in your prayers, as he needs to find a job FAST...as the landlord is on them about the past due amt. He's basically told them, get me some money, or you're gonna have to move. I dont' know what they'll do if that happens. They have no where to go, except here, and that would put 7 people in a 2 bedroom duplex. Not to mention, what our landlord would say, if he knew we had 7 people living here, instead of 3. That would put our lease in jepordy, but there's no way that I'm going to let my son, and grandchildren be homeless with no place to go. So, if that what has to be done, then that's what we'll do. It could make for a very sticky situlation for both of us, that's for sure, should our landlord tell us to get out, or give us the ultimatum of them leaving, or we're out a place. I just pray something turns up quick. So, please say a little prayer, that something turns up job wise, for both Landon and Amanda. They both have applications in places, that they're waiting to hear back on.
I got a whole lot of new pictures from Australia yesterday. I'm including them, so that you can all see. They're so so good! But, just looking at them makes me miss Kirk, Eva, and Tara-Lee even more. But, Kirk is having a ball, and is excited beyond description, everytime I talk to him. He is totally in awe of the place.

Well, guess there's not much else to share right now. Just pretty much an ordinary day, around the Morgan's. It's back to work tomorrow, but for today, I'm going to do my best to enjoy my day off.
Hope you all have a great day, and I'll be back to check in with you all later. HAVE A GREAT ONE!
Much love,
Lev
