Soooo glad Monday is over!
Good evening, everyone...
Boy, am I sure glad to be home! This has been the day from hell, when it comes to work. We were so busy today, and it just didn't seem to stop all day long. We could get nothing at all done, because of the people constantly coming in the doors, and through the drive through window....dropping off, picking up...it was never ending. I got to work about 15mins. early, just to have one of the employees come out to my car, and tell me that my boss said I could come in and clock in early if I wanted, as they were really backed up. Boy, was he sure right. When I got inside, there had to be at least 30 bags of laundry on the floor to be tagged, every countertop was full of piles to be tagged, every chair, and even piled on the table. Of all the bags that were on the floor, I finally finished the last bag at about 5:30....I got there a little before 1. How long that bag had been sitting before I even got there, who knows. But, I just didn't think it was ever going to stop. You'd tag one shirt, and then have to stop to wait on 3-4 people, and naturally, it seemed that they always wanted to show up at the same time. They'd be coming through the doors, and ringing the bell as they came through the drive through, and I was to the point that if I heard another bell, I was gonna scream. There seemed to just be no getting caught up at all. I was never so glad to see 6:00 in my life, and even then, it was close to 6:30 before we finally got everything tagged and caught up so that we could leave. With what I saw come in today, and I SO GLAD that I don't have to work tomorrow. I sure wouldn't want to be there when all these people show up to pick up their clothes. I have a feeling that tomorrow may be just as crazy. So, I was definately ready when it finally came time to punch that timeclock, and scoot outta there!
As I told you this morning, tomorrow is ultra sound day for Amanda and Landon, to see what sex their baby is. Her appt. is at 10:45. I'm not sure what I'm going to do tomorrow morning. I may drop Lee off at work a little before 9, and then head on out to their house, or I may come home for just a bit before going out there. Landon has a job interview tomorrow afternoon, so I'll drop him off for that. It's just at the Mc Donald's there in Ashland, but anything is better than nothing. Landon worked for Mc Donald's when we lived in Fayette...and worked there for over two years, so hopefully, it will help that he's had the experience with the company. They have to find some employment and soon, or I'm not sure how they're going to make it. Please say a prayer that this job, or another one comes through for Landon, and soon, and also one for Amanda.
With the next few days off, I'm going to HAVE to take a day when I can do nothing except spend time on this house. It is a disaster! lol Lee was joking last night, that he was going to have to fire the maid, as she wasn't doing her job very well! hahahaha...isn't he funny? So...guess this maid better take a day to clean the house, before she gets fired. lol I suppose it isn't really that bad...the biggest part, being clean clothes that have to be put away. I don't know what it is about laundry...I don't mind washing it, I don't even mind folding it so much, but it's the putting it away that I just don't like, for one reason or another. Sure doesn't make much sense, I know. lol That's one good thing about the cleaners, though, I get 10 pieces a week cleaned for free, so, alot of Lee's shirts I have done there, so that they can be startched and pressed. I do his polo's occasionally, or a pair of slacks. It's not much, but it's at least one load less per week that I have to do here at the house. Not to mention the fact that ironing is not my favorite cup of tea! Plus the fact, that after doing laundry all day long, I don't always relish the fact of having to come home and do more. lol
Well, guess I've yacked at ya long enough. It's been a long day, and I may go soak in a hot tub for a bit, and then come back and mess with my puter somemore. The more I think about it, the better and more inviting it sounds....especially as tired as I am after my day at the crazy farm! aaahahaha
I hope you all had a wonderful day, and one that was a little less stressful than mine. I hope you all too, have a relaxing evening at home with your families, a restful night, and a beautiful morning awaiting you tomorrow.
Sweet dreams to you all, and much love...
