Hello Friday!
Good morning, guys...
Thought I'd drop in this morning and say Hi...not that much has happened in the past 6 hours, since I wrote last...just sleepin'! lol
Tara-Lee called about 7:30, concerned about Eva. As I mentioned, they took her to the dr. yesterday, with a bit of a sinus infection. Tara-Lee said she didn't get much sleep at all last night, and when she called this morning, Eva was running a temp of about 101. They're going to keep an eye on her, and if they can't get the fever to go down and stay down, they're going to take her back to the dr. She may be workin' on a bit of an ear infection. I know that Landon, at about 3 mos. like Eva, got an ear infection. He was running 103 temp., and we were having a hard time keeping it down. Hopefully, the tylenol, and ibuprofen alterations, will bring her fever down. The poor little thing, I know that's just enough of a fever to make her miserable. So, I pray before the days over, that it's gone down, and she is feeling better.
Lee didn't make it to work at 7:30. We left the house about 7:45, so he wasn't off by too much. He's got a piece due today that's been givin' him fits! lol But, I tell him, that when it comes to jewelry...he IS THE MAN!!! Somehow, he always has a way of making it work. He can get alot more done if he gets to the store, before they open. At least this way, he can work uninterrupted. Once the store opens, unfortunately, he lots of times spend more time having to get up and wait on customers, which takes times away from working at his bench.
I have to tell ya...this was so funny...and wish I'd had a tape recorder so you could have heard him. The day before yesterday, he was in the middle of a project that he couldn't put down...torch in hand, and pains takingly trying to solder on this ring, when he hears "taps" on the glass in front of him. When he looks up, it's some lady, and he motions a nod towards her, and replies, "I'll be with you shortly." He continues to work, and a few mins. later, he hears taps on the glass again. Again, he informs the lady, "I'll be right with you in just a min." Mind you...he can't stop in the middle of what he's doin, or the solder won't hold. One last time, the lady taps on the glass, and Lee, (rather discustedly, I'm sure, cause I've seen him do it before...lol) puts down his torch, and walks to the window, and asked, "What can I help you with?" And what does this lady ask..... "Do you all repair jewelry?" You should have heard Lee.... "what the f.... do you think I was doing, when you interrupted me, 3 times?" Well, of course, he didn't say that to her, but I know he said it was DEFINATELY going through his mind. I'll tell ya....people sometimes....what kind of an idiot question was that? hehehehe Lee was on the phone tellin' him mom that story, and I was sitting here at the puter, just crackin' up, listening to him tell her what had happened! rotflmbo!!!
Michael, I sure don't envy you working those hours. I am NOT a morning person, AT ALL. When I was working at a convenience store, usually working 12-6, but on occasion would work a morning shift, I would have to get up at 4...be at work at 5! It was all I could do to not pick up the alarm and heave it through the wall, when it would go off at 4am. What an ungodly hour! No one in their right mind should be up that early. LOL. But, it would never fail, when I'd get to work, there'd be some famer there with his truck, ready to fill up! Oh, and then I'd love the ones that would show up at 5:30, with nothing but $100 bill....As if I'm gonna have change for $100 at 5:30 in the a.m., when I've only been open for 30 mins. I sometimes just DON'T understand people! Duhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
It's back to work today for me...12-6....but I'm sure looking forward to the 3 day weekend, starting tomorrow. Don't guess I have much planned for tomorrow, except for getting clothes ready for the wedding tomorrow night. Moriah and I will get ready, then we'll head to the jewelry store, probably around 4, so Lee can change, and then we'll head out from there. We need to be on the road no later than 4:45, in order to arrive shortly before the wedding starts. It will be great to see Cindy, and Laura, Lee's mom, as well as the rest of the family. We did see some of the family a couple weeks back when we went to the lake, but naturally, didn't get to see all of them. Not all of the family attends the same church, so there were some we didn't get to visit with. I don't know if we can talk them into it or not....Laura said they'd probably stay at the lake Sat. night, but maybe we can talk them in to coming back to columbia, and staying with us. Regardless, they'll be here on Sunday for sure, to spend a few hours, before heading back to Indianapolis.
Well, guess I'm probably just repeating everything or alot of the things I said last night, so guess I'll sign off for now. My prayers continue to be with all the citizensof Britian. This is such a difficult time, I know....but God's grace is sufficient. Have to leave you with a quick thought...one that has gotten me through some tough times...it's a quote by Mother Teresa...she said... "I know God won't lay on me more than I can handle. I just wish He didn't trust me so much." I'm definately glad that He trusts me, but I've been known during some of my difficult times, to tell Him... "God, you can stop trusting me, just anytime now...or at least give me a bit of a break." lol I continue to keep England, and the world in my prayers.
Well, hope you all have a great day! It's suppose to be a beautiful one, again, in Missouri. Hope it's as pretty where you are. Talk to you all soon, and love ya bunches!
Till later...
