Good Mornin' Guys
Good mornin', everybody. Hope your morning in starting off great! I trust that everyone who celebrated July 4th, had a great one! I know our family enjoyed a wonderful day, and evening together.
We went out to Landon's around 1, just hung around the house for awhile. Landon, Lee, Kirk, Kenny, and Moriah when swimming for a little while. It was kinda cloudy here, and not super hot. Kirk had to be at work at 4:30, Landon, at 4. Once Kirk and Tara-Lee left, and then Landon, we packed up Amanda and the kids and headed back for our house. We had just arrived back in columbia when Landon called, saying that when he got to work, they went ahead and sent him home....saying they didn't think they were gonna need him. We were limited to one car, so we went on to the house, and dropped off Lee, Moriah, Amanda and the boys, and then headed back out to Landon's to get him, and then stopped on the way back to pick up Tara-Lee and Eva. We had a great dinner...hamburgers, hot dogs, macaroni salad, a beautiful melon ball salad, arranged in a watermelon basket that Lee cut out, and some tomatoes, onion and cucumber salad, with fresh strawberries for strawberry shortcake for dessert. Kenny and Gabriel had a ball shooting off fireworks, but not as much fun as their Daddy, and Papa...lol Landon and Lee both turn in to such little kids when the 4th comes. We weren't the only ones on our block shooting off fireworks. They were going off up and down our entire street, so we not only got to see ours, but several othersin the neighborhood. We had a great time! Pretty soon, I'm going to have to go outside witha broom, and sweep up our drive way...it looks like a bomb has gone off...lol There is fireworks paper and trash allllllll over! I couldn't help but think about 2 yrs. ago, on July 4th, when we unexpectedly had to put Lee in the hosp., so sick, from the tick bite. As we watched the fireworks, I remembered that our 4th that year wasn't quite so festive. I was sitting in an ICU room, with Lee hooked to all kinds of tubes, and machines, not knowing if he was going to make it through the night. I do believe that it was the scariest time of my life. I thank God once again, and everyday, that he touched and healed Lee from this horrible disease, and now we have lots more 4th's to celebrate together.
Well, it's back to work today. Boy, the weekends or ANY day off, go soooooo fast. I know that Lee sure enjoyed his 3 days off, and hated to get back to the ole grind today. I sure agree with him on that. There won't be anymore holidays now, until Sept., when we celebrate Labor Day.
I guess there isn't really much else going on. It's not quite like me to run out of things to say...lol. I have some time before having to leave for work, so I may spend a little time adding more stuff to my blog, that I've been trying to do over the past few days. Needless to say, with all that was going on yesterday, I didn't get much done on the puter. We had so much going on last night...plus Landon was on it for awhile, as was Amanda, and Tara-Lee, so by the time I got back on last night, it was after 1am. I just read and cleared out email, and figured I'd try and write you all, and do some of the other things I wanted to, today.
Well, everyone enjoy their day. Hope it is going to be a pretty one where you are. It feels as if it's gonna be another warm one, here in Missouri. Typical, for this time of year...but I love it!
I'll be back this evening to touch base with you all again! HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!
Love,
Lev
