Sorry I didn't make it Saturday

I feel like I've deserted you all... I didn't get in this morning to say Hi, and here it is, after midnight, so guess I should say that I didn't get in at ALL yesterday. Not since Friday night. I feel horrible... (well, not quite that horrible), but I was wanting to get in before now. lol

I don't know that we've ever been so sloooooooooooooow at work, since I've been there!!! I mean, it was DEAD! I bet we didn't have 20 people in the store all afternoon. It was evident that alot of people had probably already left for the holiday weekend. The day drug on rather slowly. I was sure glad when 5:00 came.

Well, work schedules have come in for Landon and Kirk for the 4th. They both have to work. Landon will be getting off before Kirk, probably around 9:30, but there are some parties booked at Grand Cru, so Kirk will be working from 4-close....and they never run anyone out....they remain open until the last person walks out. So, it could be rather late before Kirk gets off. I bet that he does make some whoppin' tips that night, though! So, since Kirk and Landon both have to work, I think we've decided against going to Fayette...since none of them can go, and stickin' around Columbia, so that we'll be close, for when landon gets off, at least. I think we're going to meet at Landon's around 1 on Monday, and do some swimming. We'll be able to spend some time with Kirk and Landon before they have to leave for work. Landon is inside the city limits, so there is no shooting off fireworks at his house, so once we're done swimming, we're all going to come back to our house for supper, and then we'll do our fireworks when Landon gets off. I was really hoping that neither of them would have to work so we could spend the entire day together. But, whatever time we do spend with them will be great. We'll have the rest of the family around us until they arrive.

Lee had the day off, and went with Kirk and Tara-Lee to a friend of ours house...a young friend..one of Kirk's long time buddies....Ben. Today was Ben's birthday, and they all met at his cabin on the river and spent a few hours together. Kirk had to be at work at 4, so Lee brought Tara-Lee and Eva with him when he came to pick me up from work. Landon had called me and wanted us to come out for supper...he had some catfish to fry.... mmmmmmmmmm....my fav! Tara-Lee isn't fond of catfish, but said that we could go ahead and go if we wanted, and she would just go home. I felt bad not going to Landon's...Amanda was at work, and I know he was bored...but I felt bad too about taking Tara-Lee home, when I knew Kirk was at work...so I was kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place. We did end up coming back to our house, and I called Landon, and we made arrangements to go to his house tomorrow for catfish...and probably some swimming too. He doesn't have to work tomorrow.

Even though I had to work today, it felt so good not having to rush out of bed early to get Lee to work. I woke up a little after 10. I made the comment to Lee about how he didn't make coffee...evidently, it was because he had just gotten up himself. I have a feeling that tomorrow morning is going to be the same way. I'll do good to stumble out of bed by 10, I'm sure....lol It will probably be around 1:00, before we head to Landon's. I told him I'd call him tomorrow morning.

Well, can't think of much else to yack about. I'll be back here tomorrow morning...with my coffee...lol...just not sure how bright and early it will be...hehehehe I hope you all had a wonderful evening...I wish I'd had gotten in here sooner. I'll talk to you all tomorrow.
