Home from the holiday
Well, we arrived home this evening, or guess I should say this morning, around 1 am. We did stop in Ashland, a little town just 13 miles from Columbia, and visited with out son Landon, for about 30 mins. or so. Then headed home. It is a 3 hr. drive, so we were definately ready to get home, as close as we were then. It is sure good to be home. I always hate to leave, but once I'm on the road, then I'm ready for home.
We had such a wonderful time with Cheri and Richard. They are the dearest friends in the world and there is NOTHING that I could not go to them for, that they would not be there in a spit second. They have been for Lee and I on several occasions. I just wished we lived closer together so we could see each other more often. We had such a great time at the lake on Sun. It was just a picture perfect day. The only thing that would have made it better, would have been for the water to be a bit warmer...well, actually, quite a bit warmer...so we could have swam longer...or me swim at all. Today, we were just pretty lazy. We sat in the sun for awhile, and talked and sunbathed...as if I needed any more sun... I got burned!!!
Lee and Richard spent most of the day watching movies...Moriah, Rachel, and Carolyn when to the city pool for about an hour. They never got their pool cleaned out and filled when we got there...but, no big deal. We had a great time anyway! Cheri fixed a wonderful supper....BBQ pork steaks, potato salad, baked beans, veggies and dip, and cantelope. It was ALL fabulous!I've had a few people ask me what a pontoon was. I just assumed everyone knew, or maybe it is called something else in other parts. Anyway, this is the type of boat that we went out on, so thought I'd include this picture, so you'd all know what one looks like. We had 7 on our boat.
of course...it just dawns on me, after searching for this picture, that 1/2 the people probably won't be able to see the picture. Everyone knows about me and my pictures...so there may just be dead space above! lol
Well, just wanted to let you all know that we were home, and to share a little more with you about our trip, and the fun we had.
Oh...and just about forgot to tell you... Rachel wanted Moriah to stay, so, Moriah is hangin' out up there for the week. We will be meeting Cheri at the lake, which is about 1/2 way for both of us, probably on Sunday afternoon. The house will seem pretty quite without her here...
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend...where ever you are. I will talk to you all soon!
Love,
Lev
