new coin

This new coin came out this month
The U.S. Mint hopes the redesigned $1 coin will win acceptance with consumers.

It does not have "In God We Trust" on it. Another way of leaving God out.

In my opinion our Constitutional Rights as the Majority are being violated with this minting of currency. Our tax dollars have been wasted here without the permission of the majority in this country. How dare our goverment take it upon itself to violate the "WE THE PEOPLE" our Constitution dictates as the rulers of this Great Nation. The majority believes in the rights preservation of the minorities, but this is a violation of the rights of the majority. HOW DARE THE GOVERNMENT DO THIS!!!
I, for one, am going to refuse to collect, carry, use or accept as change one of these coins. I know I have some religious friends out there who can tell me where it states in the Bible that the end will be marked by many things, one being God's followers forced to accept the mark of the beast. Please, add your Biblical knowledge to this letter before you send this on to your email family and friends. The rights of the majority are being violated in our country! This pisses me off!

Well, like Bree...this ticks me off! I had heard about this coin, but hadn't heard anything about "In God We Trust", being left off. There's no doubt they've gone overboard here. Poor old George, is probably rollin' over in his grave over this one, as are many of our past presidents, and founding fathers. It sickens me that we've taken everything to this point. This IS NOT...I REPEAT, IS NOT, WHAT THEY HAD IN MIND. We have completely distorted what they originally intended for this country. It is truely, truely sad!!!

Headed for Indiana

Hey Everyone...
I figured I needed to get in and drop you all a quick line, and let you know I'll be gone for a couple of days. We're leaving later to head for Indiana. The funeral for Lee's cousin is on Monday. It will be late when we arrive tonight, maybe even early am, depending on what time we get out of here today. lee is wanting to try and get out early, but just not sure how early, or if that will even be possible. We could be ready to leave by 4, or we may not get on the road till after 7. Either way, it is a very long trip, and it's pouring rain here now, which I hate to drive in. I sure hope by the time we get on the road, the rain has stopped.

Blood work is not in, but the coroner has ruled the death a suicide. Needless to say the entire family is in shock. Death is sometimes hard enough to deal with, but when the one you love, deliberatly does something that will hurt the very ones they claim to love, is very difficult to understand. Naturally, everyone is thinking...."no you didn't love me...or...you wouldn't have done this.". I've had friends do this, but this is the first time it's happened in this family...to the best of my knowledge, and then all of a sudden, you're faced with the realization. thinking this could NEVER happen to you just went right out the window. And you're left to deal with something you never dreamed you'd have to, in your lifetime. Emotionally, this one is extrememly difficult, because there were some very hateful things said, which will have an effect on a husband, children, and grandchildren, for the rest of their lives. You wonder how in the world, a person could willing leave this world, with such hate, and demise on their lips, and their heart. It is so so sad.

Anyway, we will be returning sometime on Tues., but I am sure it will be later in the evening. How late, I don't know. We always tell ourselves that we're going to leave at a decent hour, so that we can be home before midnight...but, it seems we always put it off to the last minute, and under the circumstances of this visit, I have a feeling the same thing will happen. It may be 3a.m. wed. morning before we arrive home. But...I will drop in to the puter, as soon as possible, and let you know we made it back. Please keeps us all in your prayers. It's going to be a very difficult weekend ahead. Prayer for traveling safety as well. The roads can be so scarry.

Take care, and will talk to you as soon as we get back.

Much love,
Lev

Hello Everyone!

Well, just thought I'd drop in to say "HEY".

As some of you prob. already know, as I sent out some emails yesterday, we were notified yesterday morning, that Lee's cousin was found dead yesterday morning by her husband. This has been a big shock to the family, as we are expecting the coroner to rule the death a suicide. As if death isn't already hard enough to cope with, but to have it under these circumstances makes it even more unbelievable and hard to phathom. It is so hard to understand how a mother of 3 and grandmother of 9, would seem to think that she had nothing to live for. Naturally, we have been keeping in touch with other family members to find out the latest updates from the coroner, and other officials. We've been told that services are probably going to be on Monday, the way it looks now, so we are planning on leaving here sometime on Sunday, possibly even Saturday evening, headed for Indianapolis, and will probably return late on Tues. Lee's mom, who has been staying with her son in FL for the past couple of months, will be making the trip to Indy with Pam...her other daughter in law. Pam, and Chris were step sisters, and of course, Lee's mom, her Aunt. Her 2 daughters arrived in Indy yesterday, one from TN and one from NY. Naturally, it has just put a dark cloud over us, that will undoutedly stay with us for quite sometime. Keep all the family in your prayers. The next several days will be quite difficult for us all. It is really hard on Lee....Cindy and Chris were what is known as double first cousins....the closest you can get in blood relation other than a sibling. It is a little confusing, but a brother and sister....Laura(lee's mom) and Stan(lee's uncle/laura's brother) married a brother and sister....Sue and Paul. Laura married Paul...Lee's dad...Sue married stan, Lee's uncle....and so...Chris and Cindy are cousins...and would have been even if only one of the above couples would have married. But with both marrying...it makes them cousins on both sides...if this makes sense. Cindy, Chris and Lee were always close as children, and Lee spent lots of time in Indy with his father over the summers when he was a boy. They were the closest thing he had to sisters. This has hit him pretty hard.

Well, Wed. was Moriah's b.d. She is 17....SOOOOOOOO hard to believe. It was just yesterday, that I held her in my arms....or it only seems like yesterday. We've been trying to coordinate a day when everyone had off and didn't have to work, so rather than celebrate on Wed. Moriah opted to do it tonight. She wants to go to the roller rink. so later this afternoon...5ish or so...we're going to meet Landon, Amanda and the kids...grab a quick bite of something to eat, and then head for the rink. Lee will meet us there when he gets off work, shortly after 7. When the skatin's done, we're gonna head back to our house for b.d. cake, and then Moriah will go back home with Landon, since she works this weekend. Of couse, she'll have to notify them that she won't be there on Sunday, due to this death, but she will be able to go ahead and work her shift on Saturday. We'll probably pick her up sometime on Saturday, after she's off, since we'll be leaving on Sunday, or possibly even Saturday evening as soon as Lee gets off. Unfortunately, when we do that, it puts us in to Indy at about 2-3a.m., but that would give us the entire day on Sunday to spend with family, rather than be on the road all day.

Well, guess I'll head outta here. I just wanted to drop in and let you all know what's been going on. I suppose I need to get out from in front of this computer, and go get busy packing clothes and getting ready to head out this weekend. Not that it's going to be an enjoyable trip....but unfortunately, one that has to be made. I'm sure I'll be back in touch before we leave, even if for a quick "bye". Take care, and enjoy your upcoming weekend!

Much love,
Lev

Just droppin' in

So, how is everyone doin'?

It is beautiful in Columbia today. The sun is shinning, it's about 50 and the snow and ice is melting, and pouring down the edges of the streets. Man, I am so ready for weather like this. Naturally, as MO goes though, I don't think it's going to last for long. Last I checked on weather, it was suppose to be nice like this all week, with 60 by Friday...but by Sat., and Sunday nights, temps dropping, rain beginning, and turning in to freezing rain, and snow. It just DOESN'T quit! It looks like maybe the week after that it's going to perk back up again. I should hope so....by then, spring will only be a couple of weeks away!

I'm feeling pretty good about my first week as an official Avon Representative. I only had 2 orders, but they totalled about $80, and $50 was the goal I needed to reach to maintain my free website for a month. So...I feel very good about that. I haven't done anything today. I had thought about it...I have books to pass out. But, tomorrow my order will be here, with the new books, and samples, and sm. plastic bags to distribute them in, so, I believe I will do it tomorrow when the rest of my supplies come in. It is suppose to be nice tomorrow too, so getting out and strolling around the neighborhood to drop off some books, should be quite enjoyable.

Well, I think I told you that we hadn't been able to find our cat. It has been about 3 weeks now, and we've not seen him at all. We checked the pound, also the papers, and posted signs. I found an add in the paper for someone who had found a black cat, and when I called, found out that they lived on the opposite side of town....prob. about 10 miles from where we live. I really didn't think it was him, but the descriptions we were giving over the phone, sounded so much like him. We had been told by the people at the shelter, that for him to go miles from home, if he were following a female in heat, would be nothing. So, I decided to go ahead and make the trip across town to check it out. It wasn't our cat, but the lady had not had any calls other than mine, in response to her ad in the paper. She asked if we would want him...even though we knew it wasn't our cat. We were really missing Spooky, and other than the color of the eyes, he looks identicle...and also the fact that this one has no "dingly balls"....if ya know what I mean....lol So...we don't have to worry about this one taking off to go chase you know what! lol I did leave her my #, and we decided that if anyone called her about the ad in the paper that she could give them my name and # and I would be more than happy to let them come look. We didn't receive any calls, but had we, and the true owners found, I would have definately given him back....even though it would have been hard to do...we got attached pretty fast...probably because he looks so much like Spooky. So...we now have us another cat, and he has quickly become a part of the family....we've named him Stormy. A couple of days after we got Stormy, we put signs up around the neighborhood. The following morning, we got a call from a couple of younger boys...Lee said prob. around 9-10...who said they had found our cat, that he had been hit, and was buried under the snow and ice. I don't know that Lee ever asked if they saw the color of his eyes. I'd like to think that it wasn't him, considering there was another blk cat in the neighborhood that looked just like him, other than the color of the eyes, I've since been thinking about it, and I haven't seen him in at least 2 weeks. Part of me is wondering if it was even Spooky they found or this other one. Of course, Spooky still hasn't come home, so the outcome is rather grim looking.

Well, guess I'm done yackin' Oh...I'm assuming everyone got pictures of my beautiful new granddaughter, Lilly! I hope you enjoyed them!

Talk to everyone soon!

Much love,
Lev

SHOUTING FROM THE ROOFTOPS

I'M A GRANDMA AGAIN.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kirk called us this afternoon from Australia, to tell us that Tara-Lee has had Lilly. She had to have a c-section, and they're saying that she is early...but not really telling us how much early. She is teeny tiny compared to Eva, who was 10lbs. 6ozs. Lilly, if Lee heard right, was 5lbs. 2oz. They do have her under an oxygen tent, but Tara-Lee had told Lee that they had already turned it down some. As far as we can tell, there are no problems, and no complacations, thank God. Lee I guess was so excited, he wasn't too sure about anything....lol He "thinks"...lol, Kirk said her middle name was Erin....I'm assuming that's the way they would spell it...not like a boy, Aaron. So.... Lilly Erin is what I'm going with for now, unless I hear differently. We're SO EXCITED!!! I just wish with all my heart that I could be there to see her and hold her, like I was able to do with Eva. It breaks our hearts that they're so far away at a time like this!

We haven't gotten any pictures yet... this all happened around 10p.m., if we've figured the time difference right, on Sat. evening Feb 17....of course, it's already Sunday morning over there now. But, you can bet that as soon as I get some, you will all be getting them too. I'll definately be forwarding them on!

Tara-Lee has had such a difficult time with this pregnancy. I'm just so glad that it is all finally over for her, and that now, hopefully, her health can get back up to par the way it should.

I just had to come in and tell you all the great news! Bein' a Grandma is just TOOOOOOOOOO cool!!!! Almost as good as bein' a Mom!

Take care guys...ttyl
Much love,
Lev

Too cute

Oregon State Police Story
In most of the United States, there is a policy of checking on any stalled vehicle on the highway when the temperatures drop down to single digits or below.
About 3 AM, one very cold morning, Senior Trooper Gary Gleaves (Oregon State Police) responded to a call there was a car off the shoulder of Interstate 5 outside Canyonville, OR. He located the car, stuck in deep snow, and with the engine still running. Pulling in behind the car with his emergency lights on, the Trooper walked to the driver's door to find an older man passed out behind the wheel with a nearly empty vodka bottle on the seat beside him.
The driver came awake when the Trooper tapped on the window. Seeing the rotating lights in his rearview mirror, and the State Trooper standing next to his car, the man panicked. He jerked the gearshift into 'drive' and hit the gas. The car's speedometer was showing 20-30-40 and then 50 mph, but it was still stuck in the snow, wheels spinning.
Senior Trooper Gleaves, having a sense of humor, began running in place next to the speeding, but still stationary car. The driver was totally freaked, thinking the Trooper was actually keeping up with him. This goes on for about 30 seconds, then the Trooper yelled at the man to 'Pull over!' The man obeyed, turned his wheel and stopped the engine.
Needless to say, the man from Los Angeles, Calif. was arrested, and is probably still shaking his head over the State Trooper in Oregon who could run 50 miles per hour.
Who says Troopers don't have a sense of humor?

White again

I'm sitting here looking out my window, once again, to a ground of white. It was snowing when Lee left for work, but let off and quit for awhile, but it is coming down pretty good again now. Right now we have about 4", but they're saying another 2-3" additional, before it stops today. It just seems like this snow is never going to let up, and I sure know that those living in the NE, have definately seen all the snow they probably care to see, for the rest of their entire lifetime. lol Of course, I'm sure the kids are lovin' it...no school, building snow forts, and tunnels....what great snow for doing that! But...it can sure make life miserable, when there are other concerns in your life, other than making snow forts, or snow men. Awwwwwwwe...to be a child, and to be that care, and worry free again. I guess, accroding to the next few days, this is going to be it for awhile. According to P Phil...the ground hog, who's first name I won't even begin to attempt to spell...I have a hard enough time pronouncing it, says we're going to have an early spring....boy....that can just kick in ANYTIME now!
Lee worked yesterday. Tucker's is usually closed on Mon., but with Valentine's Day just a day away now, they opened on Monday, in order to get things finished that are due by tomorrow. With it snowing so much like it is, I'm not sure if they'll close up a little early or not. I know the other snows we had, where they had went ahead on gone into work, that they later decided to close early, before roads started refreeaing, or more snow accumulated. I may give Lee a call in a bit, and see if anythings been said.
Lee and I had a gift certificate to one of the finer restaurants here in town, and unknowing to me, Lee had made reservations there for tomorrow night, Valentine's Day. I guess it was Friday, Moriah gone to Landon's for the weekend, that I called and asked him if he'd like to use the certificate to go out...since it was just going to be me and him for the evening. It was then, that he had told me about the reservations he had made, and his ideas about Valentine's Day, but he said he didn't care...and after discussing it, we decided to go ahead and go out Friday, and just hang out here on Wed. Moriah will be here, and I'd hate to go off and leave her here...although Lee had planned on taking her with us. But...I don't know that there would have been a thing on the menu that she would have eaten. Pretty fancy food....and probably not a 16 yr olds first choice of food. lol Boy....now that we got all this snow, and even though the roads may be cleared by tomorrow night, I'm glad we decided to do it Fri. Now...Lee can just come home to warm tomorrow night, and we won't have to be getting out in this mess.
There was no school today in columbia...but...with just having to now miss this one more day, I read in the paper, that they've now decided to tack one more day on to the end of the school yr. Columbia's last day will be June 6. If they do this, then the kids will still be able to have off for Pres. Day on the 19th, and their week long spring break. I don't really understand it....as a kid, we use to have much more snow I feel, that we do now. It seems we don't have snows like we use to when I was a child...global warming, I guess. But, what makes no sense, is that NEVER, was I in school into June. We missed school because of snow, but I don't ever think I was in school later than May 29-30. My senior yr., our commencment was on my birthday...May 23. We usually had 2-2-1/2 weeks for Christmas, and at least 1 1/2 weeks for EASTER break....of course now...we have to be POLITICALLY CORRECT....for those who don't celebrate Easter, and it is now SPRING vacation..... I don't even know that they call it Christmas break anymore...prob. not.
Well, guess I'll head outta here and try to get at least a little bit of stuff done on this house. I haven't done a thing all day. lol We use to tell our kids..."we have jobs.... your "job" is school." lol Now, I find myself on "snow days", thinking...we'll...it's a snow day, I can't do my job! LOL I suppose that would be nice. But...it seems like it always effects us that way in this house...like with our big 15". It was like we were just snowed in and COULDN'T do nothing. lol And we really didn't! We were just flat lazy for about 3 days. lol Well...I would pick up the kitchen, and stuff like that...but I sure wasn't going around doin' anything extra! lol So, I guess I'll take a short break from my "snow day", and go pick up my kitchen. lol
Have a great day...stay warm...and if you HAVE to be on the roads...BE SAFE!!!! BE PREPARED!!!!
Much love,
Lev

History of the Apron

The History of 'APRONS'I don't think our kids know what an apron is. The principal use ofGrandma's apron was to protect the dress underneath, but along with that, it served as a potholder for removing hot pans from the oven.It was wonderful for drying children's tears, and on occasion was evenused for cleaning out dirty ears. From the chicken coop, the apron was used for carrying eggs, fussy chicks, and sometimes half-hatched eggs to be finished in the warming oven. When company came, those aprons were ideal hiding places for shy kids. And when the weather was cold, grandma wrapped it around her arms. Those big old aprons wiped many a perspiring brow, bent over the hot wood stove. Chips and kindling wood were brought into the kitchen in that apron. From the garden, it carried all sorts of vegetables. After the peas had been shelled, it carried out the hulls. In the fall, the apron was used to bring in apples that had fallen from the trees. When unexpected company drove up the road, it was surprising how much furniture that old apron could dust in a matter of seconds. When dinner was ready, Grandma walked out onto the porch, waved her apron, and the men knew it was time to come in from the fields to dinner. It will be a long time before someone invents something that will replacethat "old-time apron" that served so many purposes.
Send this to those who would know, and love the story about Grandma'saprons.REMEMBER:Grandma used to set her hot baked apple pies on the window sill to cool. Her granddaughters set theirs on the window sill to thaw.

Abbott and Costello

You have to be old enough to remember Abbott and Costello, and too old to REALLY understand computers, to fully appreciate this. If Bud Abbott and Lou Costello were alive today, their infamous sketch, "Who's on First?" might have turned out something like this:
COSTELLO CALLS TO BUY A COMPUTER FROM ABBOTT

ABBOTT: Super Duper computer store. Can I help you?
COSTELLO: Thanks. I'm setting up an office in my den and I'm thinking about buying a computer.
ABBOTT: Mac?
COSTELLO: No, the name's Lou.
ABBOTT: Your computer?
COSTELLO: I don't own a computer. I want to buy one.
ABBOTT: Mac?
COSTELLO: I told you, my name's Lou.
ABBOTT: What about Windows?
COSTELLO: Why? Will it get stuffy in here?
ABBOTT: Do you want a computer with Windows?
COSTELLO: I don't know. What will I see when I look at the windows?
ABBOTT: Wallpaper.COSTELLO: Never mind the windows. I need a computer and software. ABBOTT: Software for Windows?
COSTELLO: No. On the computer! I need something I can use to write proposals, track expenses and run my business. What do you have?
ABBOTT: Office.
COSTELLO: Yeah, for my office. Can you recommend anything?
ABBOTT: I just did.
COSTELLO: You just did what?
ABBOTT: Recommend something.
COSTELLO: You recommended something?
ABBOTT: Yes.
COSTELLO: For my office?
ABBOTT: Yes.
COSTELLO: OK, what did you recommend for my office?
ABBOTT: Office.
COSTELLO: Yes, for my office!
ABBOTT: I recommend Office with Windows.
COSTELLO: I already have an office with windows! OK, let's just say I'm sitting at my computer and I want to type a proposal. What do I need?
ABBOTT: Word.
COSTELLO: What word?A
BBOTT: Word in Office.
COSTELLO: The only word in office is office.
ABBOTT: The Word in Office for Windows.
COSTELLO: Which word in office for windows?
ABBOTT: The Word you get when you click the blue "W".
COSTELLO: I'm going to click your blue "w" if you don't start with some straight answers. What about financial bookkeeping? You have anything I can track my money with?
ABBOTT: Money.
COSTELLO: That's right. What do you have?
ABBOTT: Money.
COSTELLO: I need money to track my money?
ABBOTT: It comes bundled with your computer.
COSTELLO: What's bundled with my computer?
ABBOTT: Money.
COSTELLO: Money comes with my computer?
ABBOTT: Yes. No extra charge.
COSTELLO: I get a bundle of money with my computer? How much?
ABBOTT: One copy.
COSTELLO: Isn't it illegal to copy money?
ABBOTT: Microsoft gave us a license to copy Money.
COSTELLO: They can give you a license to copy money?
ABBOTT: Why not? THEY OWN IT!(A few days later)
ABBOTT: Super Duper computer store. Can I help you?
COSTELLO: How do I turn my computer off?
ABBOTT: Click on "START".............

Totally awesome!!!

This is awesome. This young lady will amaze you...

THINK ON THIS

I've read alot of these types of things, and
will occasionaly read one, that as I read,
tell myself that this might be one
that I'll forward on and share. But, it
always seems that before I finish
reading, I will read something that completely
changes my mind about the article,
and I no longer have the desire to
share it with anyone. Usually, if it
contains something that I just DO
NOT agree with at all, or that I personally feel
is completely wrong. But, I read this on a
friends blog, ....and this is just great....
it absolutely fits perfectly the way I feel
about this matter... be it Christian,
Islam, African...I don't care.
I've been saying this for years!!!
Guess I just couldn't say it
as good as this guy does.

We....most of the people I know...
.and most of the people you
know are .... the peaceful majority...
WHY...can't, or WON'T we step
up and face all of our foes,
before we become the silent majority like
so many before us have!!! Pass this on!!!

***********************************

The Peaceful Majority

I used to know a man whose family
was German aristocracy prior to World War Two. They
owned a number of large industries and estates. I asked
him how many German people were true Nazis, and the
answer he gave has stuck with me and guided my attitude
toward fanaticism ever since. "Very few people were true
Nazis," he said," but many enjoyed the return of German
pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of
those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So,
the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we
knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of
the world had come. My family lost everything, I ended up in
a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories."
We are told again and again by "experts" and "talking heads"
that Islam is the religion of peace, and that the vast majority
of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified
assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless
fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish
the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name
of Islam. The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment
in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage
any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who
systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout
Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an
Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or
honor kill. It is the fanatics who take over
mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread
the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. The
hard quantifiable fact is that the "peaceful majority" is the "silent majority"
and it is cowed and extraneous. Communist Russia comprised
Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian
Communists were responsible
for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority
were irrelevant. China's huge population
was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill
a staggering 70 million people. The average Japanese individual
prior to World War Two was not a warmongering sadist.
Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South
East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic
murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel,
and bayonet. And, who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into
butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans
were "peace loving"? History lessons are often incredibly simple
and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason we often miss the
most basic and uncomplicated
of points: Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by
their silence. Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if
they don't speak up, because like my friend from Germany ,
they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them,
and the end of their world will have begun. Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs Afghans, Iraqis,
Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others
have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until
it was too late. As for us who watch it all unfold; we must pay
attention to the only group that counts; the
fanatics who threaten our way of life. Lastly, I wish to add:
at the risk of offending someone, I sincerely think that anyone
who rejects this as just another political rant, or doubts
the seriousness of this issue or just deletes it is part of the problem.

"The only thing needed for evil to triumph
is for good men(and women) to do nothing."

ATTENTION!!!!!!/Update advises of tick-spread illness in state
As a lot of you may already know, this is a subj. that I've talked about before, and the tremendous impact that it had on my life, and the life of my family, by coming very close to taking the life of my husband, Lee(Ehrlichiosis, a lesser-known and more dangerous disease people can contract from tick bites).

EVERYONE....PLEASE...familiarize yourself with this disease. It can be VERY SERIOUS especially for those who's immune systems are down/low, due to other medical conditions, HIV, chemotherapy, etc.

What nationality was Jesus?

I'm SURE God has a sense of humor! ROTFL

What nationality was Jesus

There were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Jewish:
1. He went into His Father's business.
2. He lived at home until he was 33.
3. He was sure his Mother was a virgin and his Mother was sure He was God.

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Italian:
1. He talked with His hands.
2. He had wine with His meals.
3. He used olive oil.

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was aCalifornian:
1. He never cut His hair.
2. He walked around barefoot all the time.
3. He started a new religion.

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was an AmericanIndian:
1. He was at peace with nature.
2. He ate a lot of fish.
3. He talked about the Great Spirit.

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Irish:
1. He never got married.
2. He was always telling stories.
3. He loved green pastures.

But the most compelling evidence of all 3 proofs that Jesus was a woman:
1. He fed a crowd at a moment's notice when there was no food.
2. He kept trying to get a message across to a bunch of men who justdidn't get it.
3. And even when He was dead, He had to get up, because there was work to do.

I JUST CALLED TO SAY "I LOVE YOU"

Friends

If a Kiss was a rain drop
I would send you showers
If hugs were a second
I would send you an hour
If smiles were water
I would send you the sea
If friendship was a person
I'd send you me.

Let all your friends know you care.Friends are like BaloonsOnce you let go you can't get them backI'm going to tie you too my heart So I never loose you

Could I rely on you?

As most of you already know, my last day of work was a little over a week ago. And I have mentioned before that I am wanting to try and do some data entry work from home, on my computer, rather than have to attempt to go outside the home to work. So far, there's no word on the data entry, but, I still have not completed the process of calling back the companies that I've applied to.

But, why I write you is because I am also thinking about becoming an Avon Representative. I am interested in knowing how many of you would be possibly interested in ordering from me, should I decide to do this. If it goes as planned, I would have an online website, for those who are out of town, or out of state, or country. Your order could be placed on my website, and shipped directly to you. For those in the USA, your order could also be phoned in or emailed, and delivered to me, and I in return could ship it to you. Which ever would be more convenient. I guess I'm wondering how many of you I could reply on from time to time to place an order. Are any of you regular Avon customers, or would like to be, but don't know a rep? I would really appreciate you getting back with me. Making this decision will have alot to do with the amount of people I think I can rely on to place orders on a regular, or simi-regular basis.

I know it is hard to tell what you are going to need, or might need, but if you could all give me a ball park figure as to how much per campaigne(every 2 weeks), month..etc. that you feel you might be purchasing in Avon products, that would be a big help in making my decision. As with any job like this, the amount I make depends on the amount I sell, and I need to know how many people I need to get, in order to make the amount of money that I need to bring in, on a reg. basis.

Some of you may have already received individual emails, but with a website that reaches world wide, I'd also like the input of others out there on the web. If you would be interested in ordering, please email me with your name and email address, so I am able to contact you at a furture date, and hopefully, add you to my list of customers. Please email to: levmorgan@yahoo.com and make "avon" the subj...so it doesn't list lost in the "inbox" mess.

So...please...let me know how you stand on this, and if you'll be interested in ordering from me, or if you will have no interest in Avon products at all.

I sure appreciate your time!

Thanks
Lev

ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Can you read these right the first time? 1) The bandage was wound around the wound. 2) The farm was used to produce produce. 3) The dump was so full that it had to refuse more refuse. 4) We must polish the Polish furniture. 5) He could lead if he would get the lead out. 6) The soldier decided to desert his dessert in the desert. 7) Since there is no time like the present, he thought it was time to present the present. 8) A bass was painted on the head of the bass drum 9) When shot at, the dove dove into the bushes. 10) I did not object to the object. 11) The insurance was invalid for the invalid. 12) There was a row among the oarsmen about how to row. 13) They were too close to the door to close it 14) The buck does funny things when the does are present. 15) A seamstress and a sewer fell down into a sewer line. 16) To help with planting, the farmer taught his sow to sow. 17) The wind was too strong to wind the sail. 18) Upon seeing the tear in the painting I shed a tear. 19) I had to subject the subject to a series of tests. 20) How can I intimate this to my most intimate friend? Let's face it - English is a crazy language.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------You lovers of the English language might enjoy this . . . There is a two-letter word that perhaps has more meanings than any other two-letter word, and that is "UP." It's easy to understand UP, meaning toward the sky or at the top of the list, but when we awaken in the morning, why do we wake UP? At a meeting, why does a topic come UP? Why do we speak UP and why are the officers UP for election and why is it UP to the secretary to write UP a report? We call UP our friends. And we use it to brighten UP a room, polish UP the silver, we warmUP the leftovers and clean UP the kitchen. We lock UPthehouse and some guys fix UP the old car. At other times the little word has real special meaning. People stir UP trouble, lineUP for tickets, work UP an appetite, and think UP excuses. To be dressed is one thing but to be dressed UP is special. And this UP is confusing: A drain must be opened UP because it is stopped UP. We open UP a store in the morning but we close it UP at night. We seem to be pretty mixed UP about UP! To be knowledgeable about the proper uses ofUP, look the word UP in the dictionary. In a desk-sized dictionary, it takes UP almost 1/4th of the page and can add UP to about thirty definitions. If you are UP to it, you might try building UP a list of the many ways UP is used. It will take UP a lot of your time, but if you don't give UP, you may wind UP with a hundred or more. When it threatens to rain, we say it is clouding UP. When the sun comes out we say it is clearing UP. When it rains, it wets the earth and often messes things UP. When it doesn't rain for awhile, things dry UP. Fess UP...you like this! One could go on and on, but I'll wrap it UP, for now my time is UP, so............ Time to shutUP.....! Oh...one more thing: What is the first thing you do in the morning & the last thing you do at night? U-P

A different creation

In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth and populated the Earth with broccoli, cauliflower and spinach, green and yellow and red vegetables of all kinds, so Man and Woman would live long and healthy lives. Then using God's great gifts, Satan created Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream and Krispy Creme Donuts. And Satan said, "You want chocolate with that?" And Man said, "Yes!" and Woman said, "and as long as you're at it, add some sprinkles." And they gained 10 pounds. And Satan smiled. And God created the healthful yogurt that Woman might keep the figure that Man found so fair. And Satan brought forth white flour from the wheat, and sugar from the cane and combined them. And Woman went from size 6 to size 14. So God said, "Try my fresh green salad." And Satan presented Thousand-Island Dressing, buttery croutons and garlic toast on the side. And Man and Woman unfastened their belts following the repast. God then said, "I have sent you heart healthy vegetables and olive oil in which to cook them." And Satan brought forth deep fried fish and chicken-fried steak so big it needed its own platter. And Man gained more weight and his cholesterol went through the roof. God then created a light, fluffy white cake, named it "Angel Food Cake," and said, "It is good." Satan then created chocolate cake and named it "Devil's Food." God then brought forth running shoes so that His children might lose those extra pounds. And Satan gave cable TV with a remote control so Man would not have to toil changing the channels. And Man and Woman laughed and cried before the flickering blue light and gained pounds. Then God brought forth the potato, naturally low in fat and brimming with nutrition. And Satan peeled off the healthful skin and sliced the starchy center into chips and deep-fried them. And Man gained pounds. God then gave lean beef so that Man might consume fewer calories and still satisfy his appetite. And Satan created McDonald's and
its 99-cent double cheeseburger. Then said, "You want fries with that?"
And Man replied, "Yes! And super size them!" And Satan said, "It is good." And Man went into cardiac arrest. God sighed and created quadruple bypass surgery. Then Satan created HMOs.

ROTFLROTFLROTFL

Two rednecks, Bubba and Earl, were driving down the road drinking a couple of bottles of Budweiser.
The passenger, Bubba, said, "Lookey thar up ahead, Earl, it's a dadgum police roadblock!! We're gonna get busted fer drinkin' these here beers!"
Don't worry, Bubba," Earl said. "We'll just pull over and finish drinkin these beers then peel off the label and stick it on our
foreheads then throw the bottles under the seat."
"What fer?" asked Bubba.
"Just let me do the talkin', OK?," said Earl.
Well, they finished their beers, threw the empties out of sight and put the labels on each of their foreheads.
When they reached the roadblock, the sheriff said, "Howdy boys, ya'll been drinkin'?"
"No sir," said Earl while pointing at the labels...
"Me and Bubba's on the Patch."
