Been Awhile
How's everyone doing? I don't think I've even been in to touch base for awhile. The days seem to go by so fast, and you just wonder where the time went, from one day to the next. I still can't believe that it's the middle of April, since I can't really tell ya where Jan, Feb, and March went....lol Just flew out the window to somewhere. hehehehehe
We had a great Easter. We went to Lebanon to visit my mom and dad. Dad hasn't been doing too well, and we're still concerned about his weakness, but just trust that God will give him and us the strength that is needed. We had a great supper, and enjoyed a visit from my Uncle Doc, and Aunt Charlotte. It's always good to see them.
Things haven't been much different around here. Lee's still working his butt off, and I'm not. lol ....working that is. Hopefully, that will change, as of today, since I'm hoping to hear back on a job interview that I went to yesterday. It sounds very promising. It isn't what you'd call full time, and really isn't going to bring in what we would like money wise, but it will definately help. It's difficult to be picky, and choosy when trying to find a job, but then, I feel like I need to be. I've never enjoyed working nights, or weekends, and I have had to do it. But, being a wife and mother, I don't want to have to pass my hubby, and child going through the door. I definately need to help out financially, but I also have other things that I feel are a big obligation, and I can't ignore them either. With Lee and I getting older, naturally, that means our parents are, and as children, there are times when weekends are needed to go help them out in one way or another. This, I believe is my obligation,....they spent the majority of their lives caring for us. Lee's job, fortunately, allows him to take off, just about whenever it's needed, so I really feel I need to try and keep my weekends free because of this. After fallling and breaking my hip 3 yrs. ago, I've also found out that I can't take a long time of standing, or sitting, and need to be in a job where I'm able to move around a bit. I've done waitressing for many yrs, but I don't think my leg would take that anymore...without feeling like it was falling off. Face it...I'm just gettin' old and funky, and not able to do what I use to. Lee's starting to feel the same. It's catchin' up with us. lol So, sometime, only wanting to work days, and no weekends, can make it a bit difficult to find a job. Fortunately, this place needs day work, and doesn't involve weekends. So...after my interview yesterday, he said they'd give me a call...probably today, and try to get me on the schedule. Since today is Thur. with only one day left before the weekend, I'm assuming maybe, that I might be on the schedule starting Mon. But...don't know anything yet, and haven't heard from them. Of course, it's the lunch hour, so I'm not expecting anything till after 2 or so, when things calm down.
We talked to Kirk and Tara-Lee and Sat. They're doin' great, and were having a fabulous Easter. Lilly, and Eva, made out like bandits, it seems, with candy, toys, etc. Kirk is still lovin' his job at the windfarm. Lilly is growing like a weed!!! 8lbs. 6oz., I believe is what Tara-Lee said. I feel bad now that I can't remember exactly what she weighed, and I'm usually pretty good at that. She was 5lbs...something.... 10oz., I wanna say, because I remember talking about landon being only 5lbs. 11oz. the day we took him home from the hosp. She wasn't but a couple of ozs. less than that, if I recall. The drs. say she's doin' great. Eva is doing great as well...taking about 10 steps or so now, by herself. The physical therapy, plus her braces, and the swimming, have really helped to strengthen her legs. I have every confidence, that pretty soon, she's gonna be runnin' all over the place, and getting into EVERYTHING!!!! lol Of couse, she's already been doing that for a few months. lol
We always look forward to the weekend, and it's almost here. Our family is REALLY looking forward to next weekend, Lee's cousin, Mike, his daughter Kelsey, is getting married on the 21st, and we'll be headed to the lake for her wedding. We're all really excited. lee's mom will be coming down from Indy, so we'll get to see her as well. We may be headed back to Indy the following weekend, since Lee's sister will be in for her bridal shower. Her wedding is in DC, in May, and I don't know that we're going to be able to make it, so we're at least hoping to maybe get up so that Moriah and i can attend the shower, and we'll be able to see her some. But, we're still not sure.
So...guess that's about covered the past few days, and the "maybe's" that might be coming up. Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!
Take care
Much love,
Lev
