WELCOME
You have arrived in Lev's Notes. Hi, I'm Levonne, or Lev, as most call me online. I've tried to make this blog a mixture of things I can share, anything and everything that has to do with me. Whether it be expressed thoughts on something that is a part of me, or something that I love very deeply. You will see a variety here. Levonne:More About Me, is exactly what it say. Here you can read about my childhood, my faith, things that make up who I am, and where I came from. Bits and Pieces: Are special pages that are close to my heart. Things that mean alot to me, and are a very important part of my life. I live in the United States, in the midwestern state, Missouri. I have shared some wonderful links with you and tried to show you all that is a part of the beautiful "Show Me" state, that I live in. You will have access to my home pages, links to wonderful sites, from health, Christianity, to travel. I also share the links to web pages that I have designed, and also to the many wonderful groups of which I'm owner. Educational links to higher education here in Columbia, MO, where I live, and lastly, links to several ribbon campaigns that are close to my heart. I do hope that you enjoy the time you spend here, and I encourage you to return often, and visit those sites and links that you've not yet had a chance to. I trust that I have included wonderful links, beautiful music, stunning photos, and much more, that I know you will enjoy. And don't forget...my daily ramblings...all that is going on in my life from day to day. Hope that all this makes you know a little more about what makes Lev tick. Have a GREAT day! God Bless. Lev

White again

I'm sitting here looking out my window, once again, to a ground of white. It was snowing when Lee left for work, but let off and quit for awhile, but it is coming down pretty good again now. Right now we have about 4", but they're saying another 2-3" additional, before it stops today. It just seems like this snow is never going to let up, and I sure know that those living in the NE, have definately seen all the snow they probably care to see, for the rest of their entire lifetime. lol Of course, I'm sure the kids are lovin' it...no school, building snow forts, and tunnels....what great snow for doing that! But...it can sure make life miserable, when there are other concerns in your life, other than making snow forts, or snow men. Awwwwwwwe...to be a child, and to be that care, and worry free again. I guess, accroding to the next few days, this is going to be it for awhile. According to P Phil...the ground hog, who's first name I won't even begin to attempt to spell...I have a hard enough time pronouncing it, says we're going to have an early spring....boy....that can just kick in ANYTIME now!
Lee worked yesterday. Tucker's is usually closed on Mon., but with Valentine's Day just a day away now, they opened on Monday, in order to get things finished that are due by tomorrow. With it snowing so much like it is, I'm not sure if they'll close up a little early or not. I know the other snows we had, where they had went ahead on gone into work, that they later decided to close early, before roads started refreeaing, or more snow accumulated. I may give Lee a call in a bit, and see if anythings been said.
Lee and I had a gift certificate to one of the finer restaurants here in town, and unknowing to me, Lee had made reservations there for tomorrow night, Valentine's Day. I guess it was Friday, Moriah gone to Landon's for the weekend, that I called and asked him if he'd like to use the certificate to go out...since it was just going to be me and him for the evening. It was then, that he had told me about the reservations he had made, and his ideas about Valentine's Day, but he said he didn't care...and after discussing it, we decided to go ahead and go out Friday, and just hang out here on Wed. Moriah will be here, and I'd hate to go off and leave her here...although Lee had planned on taking her with us. But...I don't know that there would have been a thing on the menu that she would have eaten. Pretty fancy food....and probably not a 16 yr olds first choice of food. lol Boy....now that we got all this snow, and even though the roads may be cleared by tomorrow night, I'm glad we decided to do it Fri. Now...Lee can just come home to warm tomorrow night, and we won't have to be getting out in this mess.
There was no school today in columbia...but...with just having to now miss this one more day, I read in the paper, that they've now decided to tack one more day on to the end of the school yr. Columbia's last day will be June 6. If they do this, then the kids will still be able to have off for Pres. Day on the 19th, and their week long spring break. I don't really understand it....as a kid, we use to have much more snow I feel, that we do now. It seems we don't have snows like we use to when I was a child...global warming, I guess. But, what makes no sense, is that NEVER, was I in school into June. We missed school because of snow, but I don't ever think I was in school later than May 29-30. My senior yr., our commencment was on my birthday...May 23. We usually had 2-2-1/2 weeks for Christmas, and at least 1 1/2 weeks for EASTER break....of course now...we have to be POLITICALLY CORRECT....for those who don't celebrate Easter, and it is now SPRING vacation..... I don't even know that they call it Christmas break anymore...prob. not.
Well, guess I'll head outta here and try to get at least a little bit of stuff done on this house. I haven't done a thing all day. lol We use to tell our kids..."we have jobs.... your "job" is school." lol Now, I find myself on "snow days", thinking...we'll...it's a snow day, I can't do my job! LOL I suppose that would be nice. But...it seems like it always effects us that way in this house...like with our big 15". It was like we were just snowed in and COULDN'T do nothing. lol And we really didn't! We were just flat lazy for about 3 days. lol Well...I would pick up the kitchen, and stuff like that...but I sure wasn't going around doin' anything extra! lol So, I guess I'll take a short break from my "snow day", and go pick up my kitchen. lol
Have a great day...stay warm...and if you HAVE to be on the roads...BE SAFE!!!! BE PREPARED!!!!
Much love,
Lev
