WELCOME
You have arrived in Lev's Notes. Hi, I'm Levonne, or Lev, as most call me online. I've tried to make this blog a mixture of things I can share, anything and everything that has to do with me. Whether it be expressed thoughts on something that is a part of me, or something that I love very deeply. You will see a variety here. Levonne:More About Me, is exactly what it say. Here you can read about my childhood, my faith, things that make up who I am, and where I came from. Bits and Pieces: Are special pages that are close to my heart. Things that mean alot to me, and are a very important part of my life. I live in the United States, in the midwestern state, Missouri. I have shared some wonderful links with you and tried to show you all that is a part of the beautiful "Show Me" state, that I live in. You will have access to my home pages, links to wonderful sites, from health, Christianity, to travel. I also share the links to web pages that I have designed, and also to the many wonderful groups of which I'm owner. Educational links to higher education here in Columbia, MO, where I live, and lastly, links to several ribbon campaigns that are close to my heart. I do hope that you enjoy the time you spend here, and I encourage you to return often, and visit those sites and links that you've not yet had a chance to. I trust that I have included wonderful links, beautiful music, stunning photos, and much more, that I know you will enjoy. And don't forget...my daily ramblings...all that is going on in my life from day to day. Hope that all this makes you know a little more about what makes Lev tick. Have a GREAT day! God Bless. Lev

It's Monday

It's Monday...how is everyone doin'?
I thought I might make it here in time to say "Goodmorning", but, not quite, since it is not too much after 12:00.

I've got the day off, which is nice. Aaron was out of town for the weekend, and today, so we won't start back to work till tomorrow. You know what that means...Sat. Sun. and Monday's stuff to ship out. We kept adding stuff to Fridays order, as it came in, so that we could be just that much more ahead of the game come Tues. It always makes for a crazy day when we don't ship for 3-4 days.

Even with 3 days off, it seems that my weekend has gone too fast! Of course, with us just having the one car, it had me getting out early to take Lee to work, when I normally wouldn't have had to do that, had we had both cars. But...if he takes off with the only working one...you know where that leaves me! A FOOT! And I don't live close enough to anything to walk....that's for sure. So, it seemed like I didn't have the relaxing time I usually do on the weekends, since I had to get out and take him. At least on Sunday we didn't have to get up and rush around too much.

Maybe things will go a little smoother now...Lee got my caddy fixed. He looked at it yesterday morning before leaving for work, to see if he could figure out what was going on. As we suspected, the breakline had a crack in it, and pushing on the break, just caused it to go squirting everywhere! So...before taking him to work, we stopped by O'Rilleys to check on the part. The store we went to did not have it in stock, but one of the other stores in town, not far from Lee's work, had two of them. So...I dropped Lee off, ran by the other store, and got what we would need. I also needed to run by the store, so while I was out, did that too. Lee thought the store was going to be open till 5...they were last weekend, but yesterday, they closed at 4, which REALLY helped us, because it gave us enough daylight still, that Lee could come home and get the breakline installed before it was pitch dark! I'm so glad to have it done. I had to get out today and grab a couple of things, and was actually looking forward to getting back in my ole caddy again. Guess that's gonna be kinda hard to do...hehehehehe I barely remember Lee hollerin'...since I was still half asleep.... " I'm headed for work"....When I got up...I think it was around 10, and looked out the window, guess what I saw???? NO CADDY!!! lol I'm sure Lee's excuse will be... "I wanted to test the breaks, and see how they were workin'!" lol I know it can't be because he needs the heater...it's almost 50 now, and the high 53. lol So much for driving my Caddy to the store today!

Since Lee was workin' on the Caddy as soon as we got home, Landon decided to come in here with Moriah. We had originally said we were going to go there. But...his washer hasn't been workin' right...it's not spinning, and he was waaaaaaaaaay backed up on laundry, so had decided to come into town to go to the laundromat. He figured that would be the quickest way to get it all caught up...which is probably true. But...it also takes a whooooooole lot of quarters, and I know they don't really have the extra. So, I talked him into just staying here, and us busting our butts to try and get it all done here at my house. We did pretty good. He had about 5 loads, and we were able to get them all done except one, that needed to be dried. He's gonna come back sometime today to get it. I'm not sure when, but I told him I had the day off and would be here most of the day. I don't have much to do when I get out, so it shouldn't take long, and even if he comes while I'm gone, he has a key to get in.

The weather is suppose to be great, all week. That is Missouri for ya...last weekend we have 15 1/2 inches of snow, and this week, by Friday, it is suppose to be 60! GO FIGURE!!! I haven't checked any advanced weather, so I'm not sure what they're predicting for Christmas. Just so there is no snowy roads, since we're going to be headed to Lebanon...as long as the weather cooperates.

Lee has been telling me that the store is going to be open on Sunday's till Christmas...but this year, Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday. They normally work on Christmas Eve too, although they usually close early. But, boy, it would SURE be nice, if they'd just close altogether. It may not make much sense to you, but I can understand working on a Sunday...in their business anyway...and I can understand working on Christmas Eve...I guess, as long as you're out early...BUT...when they both happen to just fall on the same day....ya know what I mean? Personally, I don't think we need places like jewelry stores to be open on Sundays. I completely understand places like grocery stores, or wal mart...pharmacies...things that people might need. But, no one NEEDS to buy jewelry on a Sunday. I guess I just long for the good ole days, when Sunday's were a day that people stayed home...spent time with their family and friends, and stepped back away from all the daily grinds of life. I think there are a whole lot of people, who are wrapped waaaaaaay too tight, and waaaaaaaaay to stressed, because they won't take the time to slow down and enjoy the beauty, and the love that surrounds them. They're too caught up in there work, work, work, money, money, money...and they're missing the most beautiful parts of their lives. It's sad! So...as I was saying, if by some chance the store isn't going to be open on Sunday/Christmas Eve, I think it might be nice to get up early and go to Lebanon, and attend church with my Mom and Dad. That would really be nice. It's been a long long time, since we were able to attend church the Sunday before Christmas. We had planned on going down later...after Lee got off, which is what we'll have to do, if they work, but if not, that would give us more time to spend with them, and would also not get us home as late that night. We'll be spending Christmas day here...Landon, Amanda and the kids will come over that afternoon, after they do they're morning Christmas at the house with the kids. This will be Mary's first Christmas, so that will be REALLY exciting! I know I'll have TONS of pictures to show you. So...just prepare yourself. lol

Well, guess I'll head outta here, and see what I can get done. I've got a bit of housework to do, and then need to run to the store. lee will be home late tonight...they've extended their hours till 8, so it will be close to 8:30 by the time he is home. This is the only thing I don't like about this time of year....his long, long hours.

Hope you all have a great Monday...and a great week. I'll be back in touch with you all, soon!

Much love,
Lev
