Hump day's over

Last week I was rushin' humpday...lol...this week, I just completely missed it! It's very sunny here in central Missouri, which is helping to slowly melt away this 15 1/2" of snow we got, but the sun is not doing much to warm up the air. The wind is blowing about 13 mph, and that makes the 16 it is, feel like 2. It is bitter bitter cold out there. I got off work at a decent hour. I have been most of the week. With us only down to one car right now, I've been taking Lee to work, and then just heading on to work myself, rather than come back home, and not for long at that, then go back across town again. So, for the past couple of days, I've been done around noon. I have to take off here in a bit to go pick up Lee. He has a drs. appt. at 3:30. He hasn't been feelin' too whippy the past couple of days. His gutt's been bothering him, and his blood sugar has been acting weird..when it really shouldn't be. So...he was due to see his dr. anyway, so we just got in as soon as we could. We're not always that lucky to get in the following day. I just called them yesterday to set up the appt. I guess it depends what time we're done at the drs. whether Lee goes back to work or not. I suggested that to him this morning...about just coming home after his appt., but he said he didn't see that happening. He working too many hours, which always happens this time of year, but health wise, he really shouldn't be doing that...he use to be able to keep up with those kinds of hours. That was a few years younger though. So...who knows. I'd like to think he could have an early day today...he could sure use it. But, I somehow doubt that will be the case. Lee's mom is in Fl. Naturally, each time she calls, she has to mention about the 80 degree weather they're having, when she knows very well, we're sitting here with all this snow. I think she gets a kick out of it. Well, I can't believe I did this....as if I needed another one, but I have a new blog! Yes...I know what you're thinkin'. lol "This girl sure loves to talk!!!" Kirk and Tara-Lee picked him up at the airport in Melbourn. When Kirk IM'd me last night to tell me, he said they were both sooooooo excited. He said they were both just great big ear to ear grins, when they first saw each other at the airport. Already, Ben says he loves it there. It's his first trip downunder! He is down there on a 90 day visa, and will return back to the states then. I know that Kirk will hate to see him leave. But, I'm great that Ben was able to get down there. Kirk really needs "something from home", around him. It will make him feel good. We miss them so much. What I'd give to hit the lottery right now! Well, guess I'll head outta here. I'll have to be taking off in a bit. Guess I ought to see what I can do around the house. I'm sure I'll be back later to drop in and see who's been around. Hope you've all had a great day!
