Winter Storm Pictures
Boy...did we ever get some snow!!! We've been putting up Christmas decorations all day, although, we still aren't finished. I've got just a couple of things to do tonight, then I'll finish up tomorrow. So, this will be a quickie note. Needless to say, Lee didn't go to work today, and there was no school. We got every bit the 12-14 inches that they said we would. And it drifted as much as 3 feet in some places around our house. Everything pretty much came to a standstill. I-70, the major interstate across missouri was complete closed, as was hwy. 63 south, towards Ashland, Jeff City, and the lake area. They have some of the major roads in town cleared, but have already said that the sub divisions will be the last to get cleared. We can't get out of our drive, which you'll understand when you see the amt. of snow.
The first 3 pict. were taken from my upstairs window. You can see how bad it's drifted on the roof, and can tell how deep the show is by looking across the street where the neighbor has shoveled his driveway. A couple of views out my back door, and the view outside my front door, taken from inside. You can see how bad the snow had drifted in front of our door. Lee's boss is picking him up for work tomorrow since we can get the cars out. Anyway...it is quite the mess. I guess maybe tomorrow, we'll try to do a bit more shoveling. Yo can't go at that for too long...it will wear you out...not to mention cause a heart attack. So, we've just been shoveling a little at a time.
I hope that where ever you are, you're not having to deal with this type of mess...and are enjoying a sunny beach somewhere! Take care
Love,
Lev
