A Veteran's Day Tribute

A SPECIAL PRAYER

"Greater love has no man..." is what the Master said,
Than one lay down his life for someone he calls friend.
So how much more special is the love,
when life is sacrifice , for total strangers on this earth,
They laid down their life and died.

It may have been on foreign soil,
Or in our own homeland,
but freedom and rights for all mankind,
this was the purpose they wished to gain.
For the victory of freedom is worth the toil.

I know God has a place for you ... maybe more special than the rest
For what a wonerful gift of love, that you so freely gave.
And sacrificed all.. even love and family, not only you paid.
But I know for sure that in heavens realms, there safe and secure
Like a fragile bird, now in God's arms, you can safely nest.
