Thank goodness for the weekend!

Ok, well, to start with, all of a sudden I can't chage the font, or font size in my yahoo email, and the smilies aren't working either. When I click on font, or font size, it pulls up a white box that is completely blank, except for a "y" in the upper left hand corner, and the "y" has too dots above it ".." .... like some letters in the Swedish language have two dots over them...anyway,...that is all that ever shows up...same in the smilies. So, if anyone has any ideas, I'd sure appreciate you letting me know. Also, anyone that knows quite a bit about smiley central, I could use some help there.
So, how have you all been. It's been a couple of days since I was in to say Hi, and decided I better get that done. Then I get here, and my fonts, and smilies are messed up. I just don't get it. One minute stuff works great, and the next it don't work worth a poop!!!! Can't depend on NOTHING! Ceptin' God, of course! I have to get that "preachin' " in there for Maisa! :-) (since my smilies don't work).
I guess not much has gone on here the past couple of days. I worked yesterday, and again today. Boy, am I glad the weekend is here. Even though I had to work today, at least I didn't have to get up early to take Lee to work, he had the day off. It would have been nice if we'd been able to have the day off together...maybe we'll get back on sinc one of these weeks. lol Landon works tomorrow, but gets off around 2, so I think we're going to try and plan something with them. I'm not sure if we're going to do it at their house, or at ours.
We talked to Kirk a couple of days ago, and he said he'd had a chance to talk to Landon too. I know it tickles Landon to death when kirk calls. I've seen the look on his face when that has happened! Landon really misses him. Anyway, Kirk has started playing for a tennis team in Mt. Gambier. It has been awhile since he's played, but did play in high school. His father (sperm doner, I should say...lol) my X, was a very good tennis player, and a tennis pro. Kirk definately picked up some of his talents for the game. He is quite good. I don't think it will take him long to get back in the grove of it. They were having their first practice that evening, when I talked to him. He was really looking forward to it. He is having a blast, as usual. They've been to the river, camping, and to the beach several times. Tara-Lee has had some wonderful job offers, one that is similar to our conservation agents...needless to say the pay is very good, and there are alot of benefits if she signs up for two yrs. So, she is really studing the different options that she's been offered. I haven't heard yet what decision she has made. It should be about 3 months before all of Kirk's paper work will be complete, and then he'll be able to work. It normally takes up to a year to get a work permit, but with a letter of recommendation from an Australian citizen, claiming responsibility for him, which Neville and Lin did, then a work permit can be sent on through without added paperwork, etc., and can be processed sooner. So, Kirk should be able to start work in the next 3 months or so.
Landon has been at his job now, just a little over a week. It is evidently going great, as he called me last night, rather excited, and told him that the general manager called him aside, and told him that since he's had a few yrs experience at Mc Donald's already, about 2 1/2...that he wants him to get re-familiarized with the processes, and he wants him to become one of his managers. It's not going to happen over night...probably in the next month, or so, but Landon is excited, as it will also include insurance, and stock in Mc Donald's, not to mention a raise! What a blessing this job has been at a time when they needed it sooooo desperately. My heart was breaking that they were going through this difficulty, and I wasn't in a position to help. As a parent, I think it has to be the worst feeling in the world. This are still gonna be tight for them, but with this promotion coming up, and I think it will be a big moral boost for Landon, and he definately needs that right now. He was feeling pretty bumbed that he couldn't find a job, and was feeling pretty quilty that he wasn't supplying for his family. So, I know this promotion at work will definately be a big moral booster for him!
Well, 3 more days and Lee and I celebrate our 27th anniversary. Wow.... I don't much understand how time can seem to go by so quickly, yet at times make us feel like it was yesterday. I feel like Lee and I have been together forever, like there's never been anyone else...we are so one, and it seems impossible now to think of us at a time when it wasn't "we". But yet, it seems like just yesterday...I guess it's because it feels like just yesterday in our hearts, but our brain kicks in and reminds us that years have passed...our hearts don't think that way...or feel that way. But, there isn't a day of the past 27 yrs. that I'd trade for anything in the world. They've been the happiest years of my life, and I'm looking forward to many many more. It's just such a marvelous feeling to know that regardless of what life throws you, or brings your way, you never have to go through it alone.
So...it is going to be so nice to not have to get up again tomorrow. Two days in a row. Wow! I'm sure it will be a very lazy morning around the Morgan house tomorrow. Coffee and puter for me, as usual, in the morning. Of course, with sleeping in, that may not be till 10 or after. lol Lee has a little "Buffy, the vampire slayer", with his coffee, in the mornings. lol When Landon gets home a little after 2, we'll probably try and figure out what we're gonna try to do with them, and what's on the menu for supper. Currently, I haven't a clue! lol I know I have weenies if nothing else, lol, so we may have to resort to beans and weenies. hahahahaha
Well, guess that's about filled you all in on anything that's new...I can't think of anything else. Of course, about the time I click "send", I'll remember something else I was gonna say. Shoot, I forwarded that email about the marriage counter....sent that such right off to all of you, and forgot to add Lee and my anniversary to the list. lol I thought about redoin' it, but didn't figure you guys would want to receive it again! hahahaha. So, I'll just announce it now... Lee and I were married Oct. 11, 1978.
Hope you all have a beautiful Sunday!
Much love,
Lev
