Hello Thursday!
I am going to squeeeeeeeze in a Good Morning to you all, even if there is only a couple of minutes left, of the morning. At least I can say that I got started on this before the morning was over, even though it won't be morning when I finish it. lol
It's been a great morning! It's very very cool here, today, and suppose to be colder tonight. We had a thunderstorm roll through last night, and dropped temps. into the mid-40's. Today's high is only suppose to be in the mid-50's, and dropping to as low as 35 tonight, although, I heard 38. Regardless, either one is toooo cold! I'm sitting here in my warm-ups. This is too much like winter to me, but, unfortunately, it is on it's way.
I got Lee dropped off at work, filled the car with gas, and came back home. I've just been messin' on the puter since then, and trying to get more of the stuff I wanted, added to my new Swedish blog page. I hope you'll all drop in. I got quite a bit added, since I first emailed you about the page. There's a new page on vikings, and the Royal Family, and someother great stuff. I have to stress to visit the viking page, as I found some really cooooool links with virtual tours of viking villages, and a viking voyage. It's really neat! We have wanted to try and get together with Landon the past couple of days, but just haven't seemed to be able to make it happen...lack of money, and gas, mostly. But, today is payday, so that problem is over with, at least for a few days. lol Landon is working today, and should be off around 4. I'll be going to pick them up sometime this afternoon, then we'll be going to pick up Lee, and then we're all headed out to a new Mexican restaurant, that I've been wanting to go to. It's been a long time since we've been out for a nice dinner, and even longer since we were able to take Landon, Amanda, and the boys with us. So, that will be nice. It's not so much that we really have the extra $50 or so, that it will probably take. There are other things I could definately be using it on, but, Lee and I figure, we work hard for our money...lol...kinda sounds like Donna Summer...hehehehe, and we should at least use it, every once in a while, to do something enjoyable, and especailly if we can include the whole family. So, I'm just not gonna feel to guilty about spending the money. So, anyway, I'm not sure if I'll go get them and come back to our house, and hang out here until it's time to get Lee, or if I'll go out there and hang out until it's time to go get him. We have to wait till about 4:00, because that's when Kenny gets home from school. We can't get everyone in the car at the same time, although, I guess we'll have to on the way home. I can eliminate that problem before we get Lee, by dropping off some of us at the restaurant, and then going to get Lee. But, I guess when we're done, we're gonna have to put Kenny up front with Lee and I, and then Moriah, Amanda, Landon, and Gabriel in the back seat. That leaves Gabriel without a car seat. From the restaurant we'll take them right home, I'm sure, and then probably hang out there for awhile. We'll probably be done with supper by 9:00.
I'm off today...or did I mention that. Or, I assume you realized that, since I've been talking about what I'm going to be doing this afternoon. lol I'm going to run out to the cleaners later...at some point, and pick up my cleaning that I took in yesterday. It's not that I really need it, but need to look at the schedule anyway, so figured I might as well. I gotta work tomorrow and Saturday. I'm not sure why both days in a row. I usually work one, and have the other off. But, as you could tell with the screw-up the other day, the schedule has NOT been what it use to be!
I told myself today too, that this would be the day I'd go to the floral shoppe and talk to Kent about any openings that he might have. Of course, it would have been easier to do that the day that all the poop hit the fan at the cleaners...lol....I was just ticked off enough that I'd been on the phone to Rex and quite, had Kent told me he'd hire me. Of course, now things have calmed down at the cleaners, and I question going by to see him now. I know I really should. It's been something that Lee's been buggin' me about for months. I found this job at the cleaners, and naturally, it didn't pay as much as I wanted, and not too many hours, but, at the time, it was better than nothing...which is what I had. The hours do vary some, and there are times when I have a little bigger check than normal, but not very often. I really do need something that pays a little more, or a few more hours. I have no idea what Kent pays his employees...I've really had no experience in "floral"....just customer service. I'd sure love to learn how to do floral arrangements though. I've done a few artifical ones at home, as crafts, but nothing too whoopie! lol So, guess all I need to do is go see him, and let him know that I'm willing to learn. It really would be handy working there, as it is just about 1 block from Tucker's, where Lee works. We could "do lunch" together...lol And, since Kent knows Lee, he'd probably be pretty good about working my days off around Lee's possibly. I guess the worst thing I hate about it, is just having to tell Rex I quit. I know what the schedule's like, and with me not there, it would put him in a pinch. He'd either be stuck there longer, or someone's looking at some overtime! lol So, I don't know. The way it stands now, I think I may go talk to Kent at the floral shoppe. I haven't even said anything to Lee yet...about me even stopping by there to get an application, or by the clothing store, that's owned by the lady that comes into the cleaners, and Lee works on her jewelry, that I told you about a couple of days ago. I just thought if something happened that Kent or Celeste would hire me, it would be a nice surprise for him. If neither one of them have any openings, ........ well, guess I'll just take it from there.
