It's Monday, again!
Well, here I am, finally checkin' in with everyone. It has been a busy weekend, with lots going on.
Our times were screwed up Saturday for the wedding. We found out that it was at 2:00 in the afternoon, rather than in the evening. We picked up Landon and the boys around noon, and headed for the lake. Lee's mother came in from Indiana also, so we were able to see her. It was a beautiful wedding. There was a bit of a break between the wedding and reception, so that all the wedding pictures could be taken, etc. At 5, we all met at the Racquet Club, at the Lodge of the Four Seasons. What a beautiful reception! The room was all draped in white, with white lights adorning the room, and a white gazebo as a center for the buffet line. There was soooo much wonderful food....I just couldn't stop eating. There was fresh strawberries, grapes, melons, oranges, raviolli, prime rib, spiced shrimp...the list just goes on and on. We had a wonderful dinner, and then there was dancing, and the normal wedding stuff...throwing the bouquet, toast, and wonderful socializing. There were several friends that we saw there that we hadn't seen in awhile. It was all in all, a wonderful evening.
Sunday, we were able to sleep in, which Lee and I both took advantage of! It doesn't happen very often. I ran out to pick up Landon around noon, and he came back to the house, and helped Lee work on the motorcycle yesterday afternoon. They were able to get the carburators pulled, taken apart and cleaned and put back together. Although, they did laugh at the fact that there was one washer left over, after getting it put back together...lol. It isn't the best sign in the world, when you take something apart, and have parts left over after putting it back together. At least, it was only a washer. Maybe that isn't such a big deal, or let's hope not anyway. I'm picking up Landon again this afternoon, and then tonight, when Lee gets off work, they're going to get it put back on the bike, and all together, and HOPEFULLY, it is going to run!
Landon's boss was being a real "dick" Sunday, and when Landon showed up for work, he informed him he no longer had a job. It is a long drawn out story. I'm going to run Landon by a few places today to pick up some job applications, so please say a little prayer that he is able to get someother type of work, fast. They already are hurting desperately for money, and sure can't afford any missed paychecks. Hopefully, something that we check out today will pan out for him. Amanda is also waiting to hear on a job application, so say a little prayer that something works out there too.
It's back to work tomorrow, and Wed. Wed., is an early morning shift...7-1. It will be nice to have the afternoon off. I work this Saturday, and because of that, would normally have Friday off too, but Rex has been doing some changes on the schedule to work around a college student, and his schedule. So, I may have to work on Friday, I just can't remember. I do know that I glanced at the schedule on Friday and it was quite a bit different than it normally is, so I'll probably write it down, just to make sure that I don't screw up, and not show up for work one day. This would not be good....LOL!
Well, guess I better get off here, and get something done to this house. It looks like a bomb went off. lol Oh, I do want to mention one more thing....my prayers are with everyone who is, as we speak, having to deal with the devisation of hurricane Katrina. My heart breaks for those who are having to suffer through her destruction. I pray a hedge of protection around all the southern states, that lives and damage be minimal, and pray God be with them through this all.
