Finally....hump day!!!!
Good morning, guys. Boy, if there was ever a week when I am ready for hump day to get here, this has been it. Just wanted to drop in and let you know that things are much better than they were Mon., or even yesterday morning when I dropped you all a line. My emotions decided to give me a bit of a break yesterday, and the day went rather smoothly, which I was very grateful for. Work, as I was hoping went great. The clock seemed to move it's hands quickly, and the day didn't seem to drag on forever, even though we weren't that busy. With it being so slow, I was afraid that the day would seem to last forever, but thankfully, it didn't.
I only had one short moment of tears last night. The webpage that I designed for my Granny last year after her passing, had been acting up for some reason....pictures not showing up, etc. So, I did spend some time last night getting that fixed and working. Once it was done, I did spend a few moments, reading back through all I had written, and it goes without saying, I suppose, that there were some tears shed for this woman that touched my heart so much in my short life, compared to hers. But, I know she is in a better place, with no tears or suffering, and for that I am so very grateful. I am just so blessed that she was a part of my life. (You can view her web page by clicking on the link in my bookmarks, at the left...A Celebration of Life)
After getting off work last night, I ran home and picked up Moriah, then we headed back to get Lee at work, and then went to Landon's for supper, and hung out a bit watching some movies. We didn't stay as late as we normally do, considering that today was Moriah's first day of school, and she is an early riser during school months. She is usually up by 5a.m.!!! Boy...you sure wouldn't see me getting up that early when I was in school. I did good to get up in time to catch the bus! LOL. Her bus gets here around 7, but she left earlier this morning, riding to school with a friend of hers. Amanda, (her friend), had to be a school early this morning to do some stuff, and once she was done, she was going to spend some time showing Moriah around, so she'd know where all her classes were. Moriah is a sophomore this yr., but Amanda is a yr. ahead of her, a junior, so she's been at the school a year, and knows where everything is at. It is a big school, and Moriah is so afraid that she's going to get lost...lol! I assured her, that it wouldn't take her long before she'd know that place like the back of her hand. http://www.kewpie.us/ She's very excited to now be a "naked baby", as they say at Hickman. LOL (whatever possessed anyone to come up with a kewpie as a mascot, I have no idea...hehehehe)
It was rainy here yesterday, and also suppose to be that way today for most of the day...chance of rain, about 50%. It has let up a bit right now, but is still cloudy. It has made for some much cooler days, and evenings, compared to the heat wave and drout that we had a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, this rain is much too late for most of the farmers crops in our area. Missouri has lost about 60% of it's corn crop this yr. to drout(that doesn't look right...hehehehe is that the way you spell it?)
It's back to work today, but luckily, I have tomorrow off. I work Friday, and then Lee and I both have Saturday off. We will be going to the Lake on Sat., to attend another wedding. Sure better than what we did last yr. at this time, when we had to go to Lebanon to attend my Granny's funeral.
I don't guess we've got anything planned for tonight, except to come home after work. I think Kirk works tonight, and I know that Landon does, so it will be nice being able to spend the evening at home. Kirk and Tara-Lee have been spending the past couple of days at a friends house. I'm not sure if Tara-Lee and Eva will be here tonight, or not, since Kirk is working. I suppose that I'll talk to one of them sometime, before the day is over, and see what's going on with them tonight. I haven't said anything to them yet, but they may also be going with us to the Lake on Sat. Since Lee's mom and cousin, Cindy, maybe coming, it will probably be Kirk and Tara-Lee's last opportunity to see them before leaving on the 7th, as well as all the other realitives at the lake.
Well, I guess I've yacked enough, and probably didn't say a whole lot to boot...hehehehe. I hope that you all have a great day. I'm sure going to try...despite the rain, and dreary weather. At least it is a little cooler than it has been.
I'm sure I'll be back later tonight to touch base. HAVE A GOOD ONE!
Much love,
Lev
