Welcoming the Weekend

It's 9:30 a.m. here in Missouri, and the beginning to the weekend, which I've certainly been looking forward to. With the next 3 days off, it is certainly going to be nice, and the weather for the next few days is suppose to be beautiful!

We still have not had any luck getting our car up and running. :( It seems like just about the time we think we're done with it, someother problems pops up. This time, we've found some bolts missing...don't know what on earth the guy that worked on the car did with them. I had to laugh...saying that when you take something apart, and then put it back together,......you SHOULDN'T have parts left over....duhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! We can't find the bolts anywhere. so, goodness knows where they are. They're the bolts that go into the water pump, so without them, everytime you pour in the antifreeze...it pours right out again! I'm going today to pick up some other bolts, and then Hopefully....everyone say a little prayer, by tonight, or at least tomorrow, the car will be up and going. We've been without it now for about 2 months, and it is definately a pain in the butt only having one car.

Landon and Amanda are going to go to the movies this afternoon.... they're seeing the new Star Wars. They'll be here later to drop off Kenny and Gabriel, and Nana is gonna watch them while Landon and Amanda go to the show. We're going to their house tonight for supper....Landon is cooking a turkey today...that will be nice. I love turkey, but it seems for some reason, it never gets fixed throughout the yr. like it does during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. So...it will be nice to have a little touch of that this time of year. I don't know what we sometimes limit ourselves to cooking turkey only over those holidays. As many meals as you can get out of one, and as inexpensive as they are, they're really very econimical.

I'm also going to try and get some tomatoe plants put out today. There is NOTHING like fresh tomatoes out of the garden. They're sooooo fabulous. One of the many reasons that I love summer....being able to enjoy all those goodies that come out of the garden...tomatoes, cucumbers, green onions, peppers....ummmmmmmm I love them all! After summer is over, it's about all I can do to buy a tomatoe at the store...they are sooooooo blaaaaaaaa, and tasteless, compared to the beauties that we get through the summer! The summer tomatoes spoil me...hehehehe.

Well, Sat. puts me just two days closer now to the all dreaded....b.d! Mon, 23rd. I've really been having some intense thoughts on my age... guess maybe that's something you do as you age and get older. All these thoughts are probably something that I'll share in a different post. I have very mixed feelings about all that's been going through my head. I'm assuming that I'm not the only one who has had these feelings before, but maybe sharing them with all of you, my friends, will help get some of it off my chest. So, I guess,be looking for that sometime throughout the day. I will definately be looking for your replies, and you throughts, ideas or advice. They're really deep feelings for me, and rather hard to express....but hopefully, I'll be able to share with you a little how my heart feels.

Well, guess I will run for now. I've got a couple of things to do around the house...mainly the kitchen, which looks like a tornado's been through it! LOL Cleaning the kitchen is the absolute WORST thing....I hate it! I'd sooner clean the toilet! lol And it doesn't take neeeeeear as long. So....considering I hate it so much....I'm just gonna do it and get it over with. The sooner it's done, the better I'll feel, and the quicker I can get back here to spend time with all of you!
