Yard Sale Day

Well, here it is ....yard sale day. The door bell rang at 8, despite the fact that my signs said 9 am. lol Opening up the sale early, for my 8:00 arrival, made me a whopping 75 cents! And sense then I've added another 10 cents. Wow....I sure hope something picks up just a bit. Of course, this is Thurs...and Fridays are usually a bigger sale day, and of course, I didn't advertise in the paper, so I'm relying on the 5 signs that I put up. I wanted to get more than that hung around the area, but, time just didn't allow for that yesterday. I did notice too, yesterday, when I was hanging my signs, that there weren't many other garage sales signs up....and there usually are, in the places that I put mine, so the fact that maybe not too many garage sales are going on in this area today, might be why I don't have many people. Maybe there will be alot of people hanging signs today, for sales they're going to have tomorrow, and then if the traffic picks up for theirs, my signs may be more helpful.

I just don't seem to have the best of luck making money when it comes to garage sales. I guess that just means that not only is it I that doesn't want my junk....neither does anyone else. lol But...I had the day off...and even if I get rid of just a little, it's that much that I don't have, that I did before, and it will be ready, what ever is left over, to just box and take to Salvation Army. Plus...it got my garage cleared out a bit, which was a definately MUST. What a diaster!!!! I think it is that box spring matress that I have in the garage that made it look even more cluttered than it already was...I suppose, just because it is so big and bulky. I do hope it sells....it isn't in bad condition, and it's a queen size...and I only have $5 on it. But...I don't need it, and don't have room for it, so if it doesn't sell, I'll set it aside and put it out with the trash next week....but it's not going back in my garage. My trash comes today...I wish I knew if it was going to sell or not...if not...I'd just put it out today...but, I guess I'll give it the day, and tomorrow...you never know. If not...I guess it's trash bound. There's not anyone I'm talking to from Columbia, MO that needs a queen size box spring matress, is there? lol

So...with my front door open, and sitting here at the puter, I am able to see if anyone shows up, so thought I'd take a few mins. to drop in and say Hi...and to let everyone know that I probably won't be on much today....just running back and forth, I imagine, between here and the garage....hopefully, more time in the garage. lol

Well, guess I'll head out...not that anyone is here...hahahaha, but, I'm still just looking around the house a bit, and finding a few things here and there that I can add to the sale. Just one of those things that I wanted to try and get done yesterday, but didn't. I'm sure I'll be back to check in and see what all is taking place on the net.
