Hurray for the weekend!
So....how did everyone's week go? Great, I hope!
I was working all week, as usual. In fact, I've lost such track of time, that I had to go back and check when it was that I last wrote. lol Gee...I haven't touched base with you guys since Monday. AIN'T noooooo way I'll ever remember all that's been going on this week. I'm sure you'll just get the bits and pieces.
We've spent a few nights with Landon and the kids...either at our house, or theirs, and we always enjoy getting together with them.
Lee had Monday off, so I took his car and left him with the Caddy to take it and get it inspected...we still need to get lisence...and as usual, money is the only problem. But, the car had not been driven in about 2 1/2 yrs., and we were holding our breath that it might not pass inspection. But...even though it ended up cosing us an extra $50, some break lines needed tightening...we got lucky, and it passed after that. Now...just to get the money together to pay taxes....get insurance, and then to the license bureau...Just another $250...which I don't have right now. So...it may be awhile before we do that. Rent has to be split out of Lee's next two checks, so we'll just have to see. Maybe we can do a bit at a time or something.
I'm not sure, but I think I told you that Moriah got a job! Tonight was her first night, and I think she was a little "anxious". She said she didn't know what to do. lol I told her, that's what she's there for...for them to show her! She worked from 4-8. She is staying in Ashland with Landon...she's working at Mc Donald's. She works tomorrow night 4-8, and then sunday 5-10. Then she'll be off for the week...till school gets out. It's just weekends for now.
We got a scare today. I got a call from my mom, not long before I was to leave for work, that they had taken my dad to the hospital, and then the phone went dead, and I couldn't get back through to her. I couldn't reach my uncle either, and was finally able to get the hospital number, and reach her in Dad's room. I was so scared that something terrible had happened while we were talking, and she had just dropped the phone and ran off. But...the phone had just gone dead, and she couldn't reach my uncle either, to have him called me. So...anyway, they're kept Dad today...they got him there early this morning...just to keep an eye on him. He woke up really weak....he has spinal stenosis, which causes that, and then he wasn't very coherient...he didn't know what month it was, or who the prez. was...but he did know that it was 2006. Mom was afraid that he was having a stroke, so she called 911. Paramedic took his blood sugar...he is diabetic, and his sugar level was at 69....which isn't just supper low...should be between 80-120. But, it definately should have been a little higher, so he just wasn't thinking very coheriently. So...they took him to the hosp., and ran cat scans, which came back showing that he hadn't had a stroke, but they also said that the scans won't show "mini" stokes....so, they're gonna run a couple more test tomorrow, and see if they can find anything out...if not...then drs. are tending to lean towards the fact that it was probably because his blood sugar was a little low, that was causing the confusion. So...if you would all please keep my Daddy in your prayers. He is such a wonderful man of God, and all his faith is in Him. I can only put him into God's hands, know that is that best and safest place for him to be. He turned 87 in Feb....but has had some definate health problems....so please remember him in your prayers.
Well....for those that are in the new group I just joined....Aging With Friends....this will be one of those things you see come through the group every so often...filling you in on all that's been going on in the life of "moi"! lol It's hard to say what you'll find me talking about...lol but hopefully, there will be a part of it you enjoy!
Boy, am I EVER SO GLAD that the weekend is here! I'm sure ready for it. I don't plan on doing much of anything tomorrow...I do have to run to the store..but that won't take long...other than that, I'm just gonna hang out here at the house! Boy...how nice! I do have to get a few things done here...catch up on laundry, etc...but nothing too drastic...just a basic do what I wanna do day...and in my timing. I'll probably mess with my plants some tomorrow...they all need watering, and I prune them and such...and it's suppose to be beautiful tomorrow, so it will be a lovely day to do that.
Well, I suppose I'll head outta here. Will probably be around her most of the day tomorrow, so I'll be sure to check in and see what all has been going on with you.
Hope you had a beautiful day!
Much love,
Lev
