Beginning the week

I trust that everyone had a beautiful and blessed Easter. I know we, here in the Morgan house did.

Amanda worked Saturday night, and Landon and the kids spent the evening over here, and then Moriah went back home with Landon to spend the night. We had a great day on Easter, and arrived out at Landon's around 3:30. It was a beautiful day, even though they had been talking a chance of rain, the rain held off, and we had warm sunny weather for the majority of the day. We hid Easter eggs for the boys to hunt...we had about 5 doz., and naturally, they were both running like wild children, from all the sugar they partook of scarfing down Easter candy. But, as a kid, you have to just be able to pig out on candy every once-in-a-while, and Easter, and Halloween, and the perfect opportunities.

Landon has a spot for a small fire, so towards evening, when it started cooling off a bit, we built a fire, and then all took turns at roasting weenies over the fire, along with Landon great macaroni salad...as usual, and a wonderful fruit salad, and chip. We had a great evening, and lots of fun roasting hotdogs over the fire. Naturally, we had to roast some marshmellows once supper was done.

We hadn't been at Landon's long, when Landon and I ran down to the store real quick to pick up a couple of things we needed for supper. As we were headed to the store, Landon speaks up out of the blue, and tells me that Moriah is now a McDonald's girl! Well...Moriah has been talking about wanting to get a job, and landon has always told her that he could get her on at McDonald's in Ashland, no problems...but, we hesitated, naturally, because of the distance, and her with no license. But, we then talked about the possibility of her working only weekends, till schools out...she could go to Ashland on Fri., after school, and stay with Landon, and we'd get her on Sunday. We are usually at Landon's on Sundays anyway, and then we said she could do the same during the summer...2-3 days at Landon's, then a couple of days off in a row so she could come home for a couple of days. Well...needless to say, Landon mentioned it to his boss, and she told Landon...this was Sunday morning, to tell Moriah to fill out an application, and come in on Monday, and they'd get her started on orientation....they just skipped all the normal wish-wash stuff, that usually goes along with hiring people, and hired her immediately. So.... I picked her up tonight at school...went to Landon's and grabbed him, and then dropped her off at Micky D's, then Landon and I came into town to cash his check, and give his bud Dean a ride. amanda is working, so Dean went back to the house with him to hang out for the eveing. We got back into Ashland around 5:30, stopped and picked up Moriah...she had finished about 20 mins. before that, and then back to Landon's so that amanda could leave and be at work by 6. Moriah and I hung out for a bit...just about 15 mins. or so, but I got to feed Mary before we left, and she looked like she was very close to being in slumber land...once her little belly was full. Moriah comes in Fri. 4-8, and Sat. 4-8, for training, then technically her 1st day of work will be Sunday...6-9. For right now...till school is out, it will just be Fri, Sat, and Sundays for her. Once school is out, she will take on more hours, but "I" have decided, and she did agree, that she doesn't need to work a 40 hr. week. It's summer...and there's going to be stuff that she wants to do...it's not fair she should spend her entire summer working. So, she will probably be working between 20-30 hrs. a week. Landon seems to think, and he is going to say something, as well as Moriah, that they will hopefully work Landon and Moriah the same shift, so that she will always have a ride to and from work, and can just come with Landon. She's 16, but still hasn't got her license...and no car, so she is dependent on Landon when she is there. Landon thinks they'll probably do that. I hope they will.

I was a sophomore in high school when I got my first job...working for my uncle at his pharmacy. I did that all thought high school...for 3 yrs. But working for family was really nice, cause anytime something was going on, there was never a problem getting off. Of course, it was daytime only...no evenings. It's just so hard to realize where time goes...and now my baby has a job, and near her license. It all seems to be such a big blurrrrrrrrr!!!

I was sitting in the car today...waiting for Landon while he was in the bank, listening to my "oldies" station, as usual, when the announcer gave the listening audience a bit of trivia....the #1 song....35 yrs. ago today... (1971...the yr. I graduated from h.s.) was Three Dog Night...."One". LOL..... I remember dancing to that song at my Sr. Prom...with the LOVE of my life... well, at the time anyway, and was for over 2 yrs., David. 71' was a gooooood yr...and I always did, and still do, like Three Dog Night.

Well, I think that's about all I was gonna tell ya...works still going good. I spent most of today cleaning out fish tanks... 4 of them, and mopped the kitchen floor, and did a load of laundry. Tomorrow, I think, will be back to the books. Hope you guys have had a chance to check out all the books we have....

So, Moriah wants to use the puter for awhile. I may go take a bath while she does that, and then come back in a bit to see what all has been going on while I was away. I have some new pictures that I want to add to my blog, so I'll probably try and do that when I get done. I'll be sure and let you know what new pictures are added...I know there are Easter, Eva, Mary...and the boys...maybe someothers I don't remember...hehehehe

Have a great evening, and I'll be in touch soon!

Much love,
Lev
