Beginning another week
Good Morning, everybody. How has everyone been since I touched base with you on Saturday? Good, I hope!
I completely enjoyed my day off on Saturday with absolutely no way to get anywhere...I sent the car to work with Lee. I was worrying a bit, as to what might come up with Landon and Amanda, and the idea that they might need a car, and I wouldn't have it, but nothing drastic came up that required a car...just one small thing, which was a tad funny...tell you about that later. Moriah and I got quite a bit done on the house, like I was wanting, at least the kitchen and living room, which was what I was mostly concerned about. The living room needed a bad case of dusting, and the kitchen floor HAD to be mopped...there was no getting around that. lol
I guess it was about 4:00, or just a little before, that the phone rang. It was Landon. I said "Hi", and asked if he had just gotten off....he is usually off around 3:00. He said he had been off for awhile, and then added that he was wondering...and then he began to chuckle...and say..."this is really pathetic...". I guestioned what in the world he was talking about that was so pathetic....he said..."when you have to ask your mom if she'd take you and your wife out on a date to the movies!". lol We laughed about how funny that sounded. Landon and Amanda had some passes to the movie, and they were wanting to go see the new Harry Potter. So, were wondering if I'd come get them and drop them off at the show, and naturally, watch Kenny and Gabriel, while they were gone. Well...at least it wasn't anything drastic, and I told Landon that if I had the car, I would have done that. He didn't act as though he was real upset, and we made arrangements to do it on Sunday instead, since Lee was working.
I dropped Lee off a little before noon. He had originally told me that the store was open 12-7, but thankfully, he was wrong, and it was only open till 4. So, he was able to get off alot earlier than he thought he was. The store will also be open next Sunday too....12-4 again, I'm assuming. Anyway...I dropped Lee off, and headed on out to Landon's. There was a show starting at 12:45, and we had thought originally, that Landon and Amanda would go to that show,...I'd just drop them off on the way home. But, when I got to Landon's, he's still in his nightshirt...lol....so I mentioned, that by his attire, I was assuming that they weren't going to go to the 12:45 showing. lol So, we just hung out there for abit. There was another showing at 2:15, so that's what we shot for. It was over at 4:40....I would be picking Lee up at 4:00...although he isn't always out the door right on the dot. So, we figured time wise, that would work out about right. I dropped Landon and Amanda off at the theater around 2:00, then Moriah, Kenny and Gabriel and I headed on back to the house. The boys played outside for awhile...it wasn't real cold yesterday, and the snow is gone. Moriah went up to Amanda's for a bit, and when she got back, I started getting ready to leave to go pick up Lee...Amanda, and Landon. I was going to leave a little early, and run by the store and grab a couple of things that I needed, and also some things for supper....I fixed taco salads, but just as I was getting ready to walk out the door, Kirk called. I hadn't been talking to him 1/2 minute, when my cell phone rang, and it was my mom....so I gave the phone to Moriah, to talk to Kirk, and I talked to Mom. She preceeded to talk a little longer than I was expecting, and in the meantime, Kirk finally hung up the phone, so I motioned to Moriah that I was going to go ahead and leave, since I was talking to my mom on the cell. It was about 10 till 4 by now...so there was no time to go to the store before picking up Lee. I guess it was timed about right, as Lee walked out of the store just a minute or so after I got there. We still had sometime before the movie was out, and we had to get Landon and Amanda, so we went ahead and went to the store, and grabbed what we needed, then headed to the theater from there...it isn't far from the store. We arrived before the movie was out, but didn't have to wait long...only about 15 mins. So, it was all timed about right. We headed back to the house...Moriah was here with Kenny and Gabriel. Then we enjoyed a typical Morgan evening at our house...some on the puter, some watching tv in the living room, some watching tv in my room, and moriah's room...when they're all here, it's just pretty much, do whatever you wanna do. lol We got back to Ashland about 10:45...I dropped them off, then ran Landon back up to the store to get some ciggs....then I wanted an ice cream cone, so grabbed one of those from Micky D's, took Landon back by his house, and headed back home. Sometime today, their phone is suppose to be turned back on. That will definately be nice, and so much easier to get ahold of them...without having to drive all the way to Ashland....not to mention should an emergency arrise, which thank God, it didn't.
It's back to work today...I need to leave in about 25 mins., but wanted to take time to drop in and say Hi, and fill you all in on what's been going on with me...not really much, as you can see.
Still no word from the highway patrol, on who might have hit Landon's car....and TOTALED IT! Not that I expect anyone to own up to what they've done....after all...it's no skin off their back, and evidently doesn't bother them that they've totaled someone's car, and possibly made it very difficult on a family by doing so. It's a shame that there are people like that...with no regard of what they do to others. It's sad!
I was suppose to have Friday off...since I had this past Sat. off...but Jacob called me from work the other day, and asked me something about work on Friday....I can't remember if we're switching, or what....guess I better check that when I get to work. Anyway, whatever day I have off....after Thursday, that is, when Lee gets paid, hopefully, I'm going to be able to do a little more Christmas shopping. There are naturally bills that are going to HAVE to be paid...I'm sure hoping that I'm going to be able to manage to have a little left over to try and do some shopping with. Landon and Amanda are the only ones I'm done with...and just a couple small things for Kenny and Gabriel...and of course, have Kirk, Tara-Lee and Eva's done...as I sent them money last week. But, I've done nothing for Moriah, or Lee...my mom, dad, and still have stuff to get for Kenny and Gabriel. I always seem to manage each Christmas...even if I am down to the wire...I suppose I'll do it this year as well. lol
Amanda just called...the phone is back on!!!
Well, I need to head outta here in a bit and get to work. I'm sure I'll be back tonight, and see what all has been going on, on the net, while I've been at work. I hope that you all have a wonderful day...and I'll talk to you soon!
