Monday's here
Goodmorning, everyone...even though it is a Monday... I use to not worry about Monday's so much, I use to have them off, so never dreadded them as much. But, after the schedule changing a couple of months back..Monday is now a work day for me.
Yesterday was a fabulously lazy day! I don't even remember what time I got up...it was so late...lol, I think a little before 11...or maybe it was 10:30...oh well, what ever it was, it felt great not to have to get out of bed, until I wanted. Moriah beat me to the puter yesterday morning, so I couldn't even do my usual Sunday morning routine of coffee, and computer. So, I sat in the living room with Lee and watched a movie. I guess I finally was able to get on the puter about noon or so. I guess there wasn't very many other people on either, as there sure didn't seem to be much activity in my groups, or in my email. Some days, it seems as though there is a reply to every email, or post, and I find myself with a list of emails a mile long that I want to read, or there seems to be nothin'! I guess we all have those phases where we're either bombarded with emails, or get nothing.
We got all our stuff together for supper, and headed for Landon's around 2:30. We made a quick stop at the store to grab some more hamburger...what I had wasn't enough to make a meatloaf big enough for all of us. We watched movies, played video games, and had a wonderful dinner. Kenny and Gabriel were both in their "prime", last night, so it seemed to be an endless night of "sit down", "be quite", "stop that", ALL NIGHT LONG! It never fails, when you're wanting to watch a movie, children will ALWAYS be at their loudest! LOL I guess the only time was watching their Dad play a video game, that they set motionless, and quite, with their faces glued to the TV. Just goes to show you that it's all a mater of "priority"...just like "selective hearing"...which children also have! (only what they want to hear)
If all goes according to plan, I'm going to take Moriah, I guess, to get her hair trimmed tomorrow, after she gets home from school. I'm gonna try and grab at least a couple of Christmas presents, and get started on this, cause I know it's going to sneak up on me and be here before I know it.
In my last email, I mentioned that Eva weight 15kg...but, of course, me being from the US, have no idea how much 15kg translates to in pounds. A dear online friend of mine though, sent me an email, letting me know that my precious "little" Eva, weighs 33 pounds! Guess I can't call her "little" anymore, can I? That is the way it seems with our children, and with grandchildren...it is so easy to see them, and remember them as they were when they were just babes in our arms. They grow up so quickly...time flies...and we get older. Well, as my Granny use to say..."getting older, sure beats the alternative". She was right...as usual...guess I'll just get older!
I don't guess we have a thing planned for tonight. Lee has already said that he doesn't know if he'll be off on time or not, and may be stuck at work till 8 or after...depending on how much he gets done today. So, I told him I'd call when I got off and 6, and see what his status is. If he is going to work late, I'll just go home, and come back into town and get him later. I told Landon that since I had tomorrow off, that I'd run out to his house sometime tomorrow afternoon, after he gets off, and touch base with him. I don't know if we'll plan anything for tomorrow night or not...may just depend on when his next day off is...he wasn't sure when I asked him last night, as was going to check his schedule today. Hopefully tomorrow too, I'm going to be able to get Kirk, Tara-Lee and Eva's Christmas money sent off. She also left one of her necklaces here, and has been wanting me to send that...I feel bad that I haven't gotten around to it yet. It is one that Kirk bought her for her b day, the first year she was here. So, I'm going to send that along with the Christmas money. I've got to send them an email, and see if there is a particular kind of money order that I need to use. I'd hate to send one, that when they went to cash it, wouldn't be accepted, or something wierd like that. I've already checked with the post office...they weren't sure either. I know for a fact that one of our banks here in town, handles Australia currancy, so I'm going to go there...there may be a possiblity that I can send it to them in Australian money...if anyone knows anything about this...please let me know. I guess my next stop will be the bank to see what they suggest.
The sun is sure deceiving today. It is shinning brightly, but is not doing anygood at warming this part of the earth up. It is 14, right now...feels 3, with the high today of only 25, and a chance for snow flurries this afternoon, tonight, and tomorow. They're not really talking like we're going to see any accumulation, but we have been known to wake up with 7" on the ground, when they've told us we'd get none! So, ya never know with Missouri. ....flurries have been known to turn into blizzards! Let's hope NOT!
Well, guess I'll head outta here. Not much else going on, and you were probably starting to get bored 3 paragraphs ago...hehehehe!
Hope that you have a great day...will be back to talk to ya all later!
Much love,
Lev
