Yipppee! It's Friday!
How is everyone doing on this Friday morning? Well, I hope!
I had yesterday off, and I didn't do hardly anything all day, but sit in front of this computer. Talk about being lazy! lol The last couple of times I've had a day off, I busted my butt trying to do things around the house, laundry, Christmas decorations, etc., so, yesterday, I told myself I just wasn't going to do much, other than what I wanted to do. So, here at the puter I was.
While on the puter Wed. evening, I had a few more ideas for my music blog...and other pages, so with yesterday off, I was able to get some of those ideas put into practice. So, hope you'll all drop in on my blog, and see what new has been added. It's Dec., so naturally, you're going to see and hear some of the sights and sounds of Christmas, and will no doubt see various Christmas entries in my blog. You'll notice when visiting my music page, that things have been rearranged somewhat, so things will look a little different, but you can still easily access the great music that I've shared. I'm trying to keep the home page up to date as to what new pages I've added, and what new pages will be coming soon. Hopefully, this will make it easier for you to know what's new, and some idea of where to look for it. While you're there, please take the time to visit "Rock~N~Roll Heaven...a tribute to all those special music artist that have touched our lives.
I stayed in this house absolutely all day long yesterday, and didn't go anywhere, until I had to leave about 6:30 to go pick up Lee. Infact, I don't think I was even out of the house except once, to go grab the trash cans off the curb, and bring them back to the house. lol It really did feel good to just be inside, out of the cold, comfey at home! A very quite and peaceful day, it was!
We did go to Landon's last night. Moriah and I left about 6:30, ran to the store to pick up some soda, and then up to Tucker's to get Lee. I had Moriah call the pizza place, as we were leaving, so that our pizzas would be ready to pick up when we got to Ashland. The last one was coming out of the oven, just as I walked in the door. It looked sooooo good coming out of the oven (we've never eaten here before), so I was anxious to get home and try it. Pizza is probaby my most favorite food. I am game anytime I can find a new pizza place with good pizza. Well, we sure weren't disappointed with this place. The prices were quite reasonable...two lg. 16" pizza for just under $30...just a little over $3 for soda, so for less than $35, we fed 8 people last night...and we were all stuffed, plus some left over that I brought home to have for lunch today. So, we know now where we're going to go in Ashland, next time we want pizza. They also had several other things on their menu that sounded really good...so I'm sure we'll try other things from there as well.
Landon's got today off, so they're going to come over here tonight for supper, and I'm gonna fix a batch of spagetti, and we'll have it with a nice salad and some garlic bread. A friend of Landon's hung out at his house last night, and has to be at work at 4...(he's carless), so I told Landon that I'd be out there to get him around 2:30...we'll pick Kenny up at school, instead of waiting for him to come home on the bus. That makes us late for when we need to leave. We'll run Dean home...he lives not more than a 200 yd. right off the highway, on our way back to Columbia, so it's not out of the way. Depending on if his dad's home or not, we may have to drop him off at his work. He has to be there at 4, and then from there, we'll head back here to our house. I'm sure the boys will be out playing in the leaves again. It isn't super cold here...upper 30's...well, too cold for me..lol...but we have no wind today to speak of, and the sun is shinning...for the most part, going behind the clouds occasionally, so that makes it "tolerable" outside. I guess the perfect weather, with hats and gloves, for playing outside in the autumn leaves.
Lee got his check last night, but wasn't able to make it to the bank before they closed, they were so busy at the store. So, he'll cash it this morning. I'm going up to take him some lunch around 12:30, and I'll get his check then, go to the store and pick up the few things I need for supper, and then probably head on out to Landon's from there. Over 1/2 of Lee's check has to be set back for Dec. rent, the other 1/2 of the rent will come out of next weeks...so there won't be much left over. I get paid on monday...that will help, and between Lee's check and mine, I'm hopefully going to be able to get Kirk, Tara-Lee, and Eva's Christmas money sent off on Tues. Even with sending express mail, we're looking at 4-5 days before it will get there. I may have enough to pick up a couple more Christmas prez., since they're only around $20. I know I've got to try and do a little at a time between now and Christmas, even if it's one item a week or so, so that it doesn't hit me all at once just a few days before Christmas....and that's been know to happen! lol
We're doing our Christmas a little different this year. Ever since I was a kid...Christmas Eve was spent at Poppy and Granny's...that was the night that we got presents from relatives...Aunts, Uncles, cousins. When I grew up and got married, it was still to Granny's, or possibly Mom's, on Christmas Eve, for our annual gift exchange. Christmas morning was always reserved for our kids...the morning they got presents from Santa..and then it was always back to Mom and Dad's or Poppy and Granny's for Christmas Dinner with the entire family...again. Unfortunately, Lee always ends up working on Christmas Eve...even though they usually close early...around 3. But, we have close to a 3 hr. drive to Lebanon, and would still have to stop and pick up Landon and all..before even heading to Lebanon. We probably wouldn't arrive till around 7...wouldn't leave much time for visiting, until we'd all have to pile back in the car and head home again. So, this year, we're going to do Christmas Eve at our house, with Landon, Amanda and the boys...that will be really hard with Kirk, Tara-Lee and Eva not here. We'll exchange our gifts that night. Christmas morning will be Santa time for Kenny and Gabriel...Moriah's a little past the Santa stage..lol, but that's when we'll open our presents to each other. Then we'll load up the car, head for Ashland, and then on down the road to Lebanon. That gives us most of the afternoon and evening for visiting.
Well, I guess I've been talking long enough. lol I've got a little bit of time before having to go take Lee his lunch, so I may try and get somemore pages added to my music blog...have some more tunes from Broadway, to share with you. Don't forget to drop in for a visit.
Have a beautiful day!
Much love,
Lev
