Home from St. Louis
It's 11:00 now, and I feel like death warmed over, so
this probably won't be very long.
We got back into columbia a little after 9:00, and then
went straight to Landon's house. We hung out there
for just a bit, and tried to unwind a little. We arrived
home about 10:30.
By the time we got to the airport, and baggag checked
in, we had about 30 mins. before Kirk and Tara-Lee
had to be back at the bording gate. We knew we wouldn't
be able to get past that point. We found a little place to
sit down for a bit, and get something to drink, then the
rest of us went outside where Tara-Lee, and Lee had already
gone shortly before that. Tara_Lee to get in that last cigg.
before the long flight, and Lee went with her. I was pretty
quite,....I guess really we all were. I just concentrated
mostly on watching Kirk, and Eva, knowing it would be
awhile before I saw their faces again. We returned to the
bording gate around 6:00. I can't even begin to describe
what I was feeling. It was about more than I could take.
It was just as rough watching Kirk say goodbye to Lee,
Landon, and Moriah, all of which were taking it pretty
hard. We turned and walked away as they entered the
bording gate, but me, being the Mom that I am, turned
around and watched as Kirk walked through, and soon,
he was from my sight, and could see him no longer.
My heart was breaking.
We stopped outside St. Louis a bit, at a truck stop, ate
some supper and tried to fight off the stress of the past
several hours.
Right now, I just feel like I've been run over by a semi,
and my eyes are so red, sore, and swolen from crying,
that I look like I've been in a boxing match, and lost!
I just feel lousy....all over. Lee suggested that I go take
a hot bath. I think I may do that. Hopefully, when I check
in with you all tomorrow, I'll be feeling a little better.
I'm sure not doing so hot right now.
I'll talk to you all soon.
Much love,
Lev
