It's Tuesday, and the dreaded day getting closer :-(
Good morning, everyone. Sorry I haven't been in for a few days to say Hi...things have been a little crazy.
As I said a couple of days ago, I had to work on Friday, and Saturday. Both days went by rather quickly. Saturday, Lee took me to work, and then went to pick up Landon so he could have the day to spend with Kirk. When I got off and Lee picked me up, we were invited out to a friends of Kirk's house, for a cook out, and goodbye party for Kirk and Tara-Lee. We made arrangements to get together again on Sunday...Landon, Amanda, the boys, Kirk and Tara-Lee and Lee, Moriah and I, and were able to spend a wonderful day together, watching movies, playing with the kids...just a lot of quality time before they leave. Wanting to spend as much time as he can with Kirk, I went back out yesterday, and picked up Landon and the boys, and they again, spent the day and evening over here. We fixed pizza's for supper and had a great evening. Landon is coming over again today and spend more time with Kirk while Lee and I have to work, then we are going to do a supper for everyone again, when we get off. I'm going to pick him up in about an hour. Kenny has school today, so I will probably go pick Amanda and the boys up as soon as I get off work, then head back to get Lee before coming home to have supper. This will be our last evening together for sometime, and although I know we will enjoy it, it will be bitter-sweet.
Kirk and Tara-Lee's flight leaves at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow, from St. Louis International airport. I have to pick Moriah up early from school, probably around 12:30, and then will head out to get Landon. We will be leaving around 3:00 tomorrow afternoon. It is about 1hr. 45mins. to the airport. That will put us there a little early, as to get the kids all checked in with their baggage, and ready to go. It sure isn't going to be an easy day, at all...not for any of us. We've just been trying to spend as much time together as we can the past couple of days.
Well, I know this is rather short, but I need to get dressed and then take off to get Landon before much longer. I'm not sure if I'll be online tonight, with everyone being over here. If I am, it will probably be rather late. But, I will try at least at some point tomorrow night, to touch base with you all and let you know how things went at the airport. I'm sure you'll all have to listen to me whine and cry about how sad I am that they have finally gone. It is just so overwhelming that they are going to be so far away....Australia just seems so far away. It's so hard to imagine that there will be so much water seperating us....and for how long, we don't know.
I'll be back in touch with you all as soon as possible. Remember to keep us in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
