Humpday is here!
So, here it is, humpday, and how has everyone's week been going so far? Good, I hope.
It's been going great here in Missouri. We've had some beautiful Indian Summer days the past few days...highs in the 60's, and it reached 74 today. Not bad, I'd say, for November. This is great, and I'll sure take this kind of weather as long as it will hold out. I'm NOT fond of cold.
Amanda had to work tonight, so Landon dropped her off at work, and then he and the kids came over, had dinner, and hung out for awhile. Landon, Moriah and Kenny got started on a Monopoly game...Landon is a Monopoly freak!!! lol They took a break from the game long enough to eat, then headed back. They didn't play much longer, it was getting late, and Moriah still had to wash her hair. She's an early bed person. She gets up about 5:30, so she likes to be in bed by 9-9:30. I don't think she made it tonight. I got left taking over her place in the game. And, wouldn't you know it, she was about broke. She had a little over $200 when I took over, but it hadn't been more than 5 mins. before that, she only had $14. lol Guess I was at least lucky enough to have not taken her place over then. After that, Landon about broke me. I landed on his property twice...both of them with hotel... and even though it was only Baltic, and Mediteranian, and the rent by no means a "Boardwalk", it was still more than I had. lol I had to mortgage 2 pieces of property, just to keep my head above water, and just simply lucked out, that Landon had to get ready to leave, so we just called it quits. I was doomed, I know. lol It would have been a battle between Kenny and Landon, to the death...heheheheeeee. Kenny landed on free parking.....4 TIMES....lol Needless to say, he was mister moneybags, and tickled to death(he's only 7), and across the table, Dad,(Landon) is fummin'!!!! Me....I was just BROKE! lol
Amanda gets to bring home movies when they first come out on DVD, a week before they're available to the public. DiVinci Code came out today, and she's bringing it home. We're going out to Landon's tomorrow night for supper, and to watch the movie. I know there's been a lot of controvesy over it, especially from a Christian stand point. But, I believe I'm adult enough....I should hope, and strong enough in my faith, and my beliefs, that I can watch it with an open mind, and draw my own conclusions. There are those who would say that we should avoid this type of movie all together, as Christians, but I believe as Christians, we need to know what is being shown, and told to the public. How are we to respond, if we have no idea what anyone is talking about. So, I'm rather anxious to watch it, to see what all the hoopla is about.
Lee's mom called tonight. I'm not sure if she was asking him about whether we're coming back to Indiana this weekend, or not. He didn't say anything about it when he got done talking to her, but then again, I didn't ask him. I don't think we're going anywhere this weekend. We needed to get the brakes done on the car last weekend, and ended up not getting it done, so it has to be done this weekend. I'm not sure if we'll go the weekend after that or not, but know that it won't be on the 23, with that being Thanksgiving. We're all going to Lebanon to my Mom and Dad's. I asked Lee last night if we could talk his mom in to coming here for Thanksgiving. He just schrugged his shoulders, and said, "who knows". Her health is not good, and I really don't know if she thinks she's up to the drive, and we really can't think of anyone that would come with her to share in the driving. So, if she tries it, I'll really be surprised. We'll just have to see.
Since we're going out to Landon's tomorrow night, I may see if he'll come in with the kids on Friday...we were going to have to take Moriah out then, she works this weekend. Maybe he'll come in here instead, and then she can just ride back home with him. We'll do something else for supper that night...maybe just get pizza. That's always quick, and we all love it.
I'm not much into politics, and I'm definately glad that the election is over. I'm pretty happy with the results for here in central missouri...other than one. So...there's nothing I can do about that. You can't always win. I'll just be glad to stop hearing the campaign ads plastered on tv, and radio, and every yard you go by.
Well, guess there's not much else going on. Just a couple more days of work before the long awaited weekend. Two that is, unless my boss will be out of town on Friday. He sometimes is. I'll find that out tomorrow.
It's suppose to cool off a bit this weekend, but hopefully not too cold that I won't be able to work some in the garage this weekend. That's the next project that has to be done, to finalize unpacking this house. We really need to get it done before it's get cold...we won't be able to stand it out there to work.
Take care, guys, and I'll talk at ya soon!
Much love,
Lev
