Waitin' on the snow
| Well, here I sit, at home, inside, out of the cold, and just waiting for the storm to hit!!! HERE'S THE SNOW We were VERY fortunate, and did not get the amt. of ice that they thought we were going to get. They were saying 1/4-1/2 inch, and that could have been disaterous on the roads. It really didn't start raining and sleeting till after Lee got home last night, which was just fine with me. I sure worry something awful if he's on the road in this. But, even by bedtime, there wasn't much that had happened. I did, though, wake up in the middle of the night...doing the nightly peeeee thing...and I could hear the frozen rain hitting our bedroom window, and I could tell it was coming down good. I was expecting to see much worse than I did when I looked out this morning. Although there was no ice on the roads, they didn't have school today, anticipating what they say we've got coming before the day is over. So far...no snow, but you can tell when you look at the radar link above, that right now, columbia, which is right in the middle of the state...it shows as COU on the radar...we're like in a pocket right now, with the snow swirling all around us. It is suppose to start this afternoon...with accumulation of about an inch, then continue through the evening....another 10-12 inches...and another inch due tomorrow. Something tells me that Lee may not even be going to work tomorrow, if that's what we get. I'm gonna go through my kitchen, and make of list of a couple of things we might need, incase we get snowed in, and he can pick them up on his way home from work today. I sure hope that if it starts getting bad, that Rob will just close up the store, and let everyone come home. Anyway...I'm at home...with the way the morning went. When I got up, a little after 8, I guess, Lee already had his car running. Why...I'm not really sure, because that car has no heat...so that means no defrost. So...it was a little difficult to get the sheet of ice off the windshield. We had debated putting cardboard over the windshields last night...we sure should have!!! Then, knowing that I was suppose to go into work, he decided to try and work on my car. HA! The doors were so frozen that we couldn't get them open, and Lee borrowed something from the neighbor across the street, to pry it open...he had to do the same with his cars as well. Well...Lee did get the door open, and started the caddy...and got defrost going. Then...he headed back to try and chip away somemore at the ice on the windshild of his car...but, to no avail. Well...as cold as it was...and knowing that Lee's salary is far more important than my $16, if I went in, that I just decided...forget it! So...I told Lee to just take my car, that HAS heat, and go to work. I don't have anywhere to go. So, after Lee left, I just called Aaron, appologized for letting him down, but with all that was going on...I just wasn't gonna be able to make it in. Of course, I reminded him about the snow we're suppose to get. I told him that maybe he could get a headstart and leave a little earlier, and maybe miss some of the snow. Of course...It's been snowing already in st. louis...plus I don't know what kind of ice they got, so it's hard to say what he's gonna run into. I know that I've heard that KC got hit pretty good! My friend Cheri called this morning, just as Lee was pulling out of the driveway, to let me know that her hubby Richard was doing okay. Thank God! He went in for an angeogram, and they found that the stint thay had been put in a few years back, was starting to block up. That was what was causing the chest pain he'd been having. They were able to unblock it, and said that there was no damage to his heart, and that he had not had a heartattack. What a relief to hear. He stayed overnight in the hosp....Joplin is where he was, and his brother Roger, while I was talking to Cheri this morning, was on his way to Joplin to pick him up and bring him home. So...I wanted to say Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers. Just wanted to let you know that they worked!!!! Not surprisingly, of course! News is, and isn't so good about our friends son...the one I told you about. Drs. had to remove quite a bit of the frontal lobe...both optic nerves were severed, so he will never see again. He can move his fingers, and his legs, but I guess, as of yet, they do not know how this kind of brain damage is going to affect him. I just can't imagine anything as horrifying as what this family has to be going through. So, please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers as well. I will be sure and let you know of any news that's different. I told Moriah that I wanted her help on the kitchen, and asked her to unload the dishwasher for me, and I'd do the rest. #1, doing the kitchen is my least favorite thing to do...I'd sooner clean a toilet...hehehehehe, #2...unloading the dishwasher is another of my least favorite things. Well, she just hollered upstairs that the dishwasher was unloaded, so guess that means my part is next. Maybe it won't take me too long if I just get on it. I'm sure once that's done, I'll be back to putz somemore on the computer. I want to try and find somemore christmas videos...the html codes, to add them to my music page. So, if anyone knows where I can get some good html codes for Christmas videos, please let me know the link. Thanks.... Much love, Lev |

Howdy!
Hey Guys... I'm suppose to work tomorrow, but it is all going to depend on what the roads are like tomorrow. Aaron is suppose to be going out of town...and I'm sure he still will, which probably isn't the smartest thing to do, depending what roads are like. But, I'll probably only work a couple of hours tomorrow, because his plans are to leave by noon. If the roads are nasty tomorrow, I have a feeling I won't be going into work. At my $8 an hour...2 hours isn't worth risking my car, or my neck on the roads. He'll have to understand that. We'll just have to see what tomorow brings. I'd just as soon it would pass us all together. It was 64 this morning a little before 9...now, it is 34, and the temp. dropping. |

Ready to listen to Christmas music?

It's been awhile since I've added a new video to my music page, but felt it was appropriate now, with Christmas coming on. So...hope you'll go to Music, Music, Music, and enjoy the new Christmas video. And...for more Christmas favorites, click on "Christmas", on the right side of my page. Enjoy, and Merry Christmas! |
GEEEZZZZ...WHERE WAS MY HEAD!!!
Or, maybe in VERY thick fog, when I was sooooo sure it was Wednesday, early am, when I sent my email...announcing to the world that it was "hump day". I'm sure when everyone started reading it, they wondered what in the world I was thinking! lol I'm pretty embarrassed to admit that I completely didn't even know what day it was! Not to mention, how stupid can you be when you're so sure you're right, that you change calenders and clocks on your computer, because apparently, something is wrong with it, because I KNOW what day it is. Why on God's green earth, I thought today was Wednesday, I do NOT know! lol I even remember late last night thinking "darn, forgot to put the trash out for tomorrow morning"...but not even bothering with it, thinking at the time that I didn't have much. But, after figuring out today what day it really was, then remembering that I need to put the trash out tonight, was glad I was off on my days, since I forgot about cleaning out the garage Sunday, and we have TONS of trash that needs to go out. Of course, I have to say that my bubble was somewhat burst, when i found out it wasn't humpday, and now I have one more day before I'm headed downhill to the weekend.
I got an email from my best friend Cheri this morning. Her hubby Richard has been having some chest pains...he has one stint in his heart already. His stress test, and other test all come back good, but the camera show significant blockage. He's only in his 30's. He goes in tomorrow for an angeogram, so then we'll know more. Also, an aquaintence of ours, and Cheri and Richard, her son put a gun to his chin on Sunday. It doesn't look good. He is just in his early 20's. There is significant frontal lobe damage, and the optic nerves aren't responding. So, if you would, please, keep this family in your thoughts and prayers, as they go though this awful ordeal, and also with Richard, as he undertakes more test.
Well, now that I know what day it is.....heheheheh....guess I'll head outta here. My kitchen needs some picking up...fun, fun, but maybe if I just dive into it, it won't take me long. Hope you all have a good "humpday"...tomorrow!
Love,
Lev
hello on humpday!
We have had such a beautiful Indian summer here, but I guess I knew that it wouldn't be lasting. We've had temps in the mid to upper 60's, but, temps. are going to stop dropping. We're gonna get to keep the upper 60's today, and tomorrow, along with rain, but by Thur. we're looking at a high of only 33, with snow showers/wintery mix, and by Friday night.... "9"!!!!!!!!!!!!! Buuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Now, that is entirely TOO cold for me. Then, all next week...nothing over 36. I guess that winter is here, regardless of whether I'm ready for it or not!
I'm really wanting to see the new movie that's coming out.... "The Nativity Story". I guess it's going to be in theaters starting Dec. 1. I've watched the trailers online, and it looks as though it is gonna be a fabulous movie. We may have to see if we can take it in this weekend. We were probably going to be putting up our Christmas decorations this weekend, so maybe we can make it part of a special Christmas weekend, by attending the movie, and then coming home to decorate. The last time we went to the show was almost 3 years ago, when we went to see The Passion of the Christ, and I was still on a walker...just about 3 days after breaking my hip. Getting in and out of the theater this time, should be much easier.
Lee's mom is headed for Florida tomorrow. Her other son still lives there. She has to get away from this cold weather for awhile...she does NOT like it. As far as we know, she is probably going to be down there till after the 1st. She isn't really sure herself, and rather playing it by ear, but that is the initial plan.
Well, I just wanted to drop in and say a quick "HI"! It's 10, so guess I need to get dressed and get ready to head to work. Hopefully, it is gonna be a short day, and I can get back home before weather gets nasty. We're suppose to be having some thunderstorms. I'd much rather be home that get caught out in them.
Hope you all have a great hump day, and are looking forward to the weekend coming up. Take care, and I'll be in touch!
Much love,
Lev

Thanksgiving Day Memories
I trust that everyone had a safe and blessed Thanksgiving Day. We all have so much to be Thankful for. I know that our family had a wonderful day, spending it in Lebanon, with my Mom and Dad. We had a wonderful visit. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. The sun was shinning all day, and it got about 70. It was great that the kids were able to play outside. It helped to run of a little of their energy. Just a little! We all ate waaaaaaaay too much food. lol I guess you have to do that at least a few times a year..like Christmas, and Easter, and Thanksgiving. We had roasted turkey, and baked ham, dressing, mashed potatoes with gravy, corn, greenbean cassarole, macaroni salad, redhot jello, relish try with an assortment of pickles, olives, asst. veggies, cauliflower, brocolli, carrots, with dip, cranberry sauce, and hot rolls. For dessert, there was pumpkin pie, pumpkin apple struesel muffins, pineapple cake with cream cheese icing, and apple pie, that Landon made...very very big...lol We measure it's diameter. It was 14 inches, and took almost 3 hrs. to cook. It was fabulous!!!! So, as you can imagine, with this mess of great food, we all indulged, probably a little more than we should have.
I'm including some pictures we took. As you can tell, there was a certain "Little Miss", that kinda stole the camera. They were just too cute, so I wanted to share them with you.
Remember too, that I told ya I take some pictures of our house, once we got all the Christmas lights up outside. Well, I finally got around to doing that, now that the house is finished. So, I've included the pictures of those as well. Hope you enjoy them all.
It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving has come now, and gone, but I trust that you are all looking forward to celebrating the upcoming Christmas, and Holiday Season. It is truely a blessed time of year.
Take care
Much love,
Lev

Wish this would have worked last night!
I'm going to try this again. I had this email all typed last night...clicked on send, and got that lovely page that tells me that my yahoo login has expired....please login again. The email I had written, of course, completely gone when I got back to my mail. Geeeeeez...was I discusted. I was already ticked off. I was so excited yesterday that I had remembered to pick up my camera...came home, wrote you all this email, and so anxious to share the Halloween picts. of the grandkids, and wouldn't you know it...for the life of me, I couldn't get my Kodak Share to upload my picts. It's really strange...it works just fine up to a point, then when he has me select the location to upload the pictures from, and I click on "camera", when it loads the pictures...they're only empty boxes with red x's. Those red x's drive me crazy. I know I read someplace where they have something to do with Java. But, I haven't changed a thing on my puter settings, or nothing...and it always worked before, so why not now? The pictures are there...you can view them on the camera. Does anyone have any ideas??????? I guess I'll call Best Buy, where I got it...talk to the "Geek Squad"...maybe they have some idea. That's where I took it to get it fixed. I think I'll get some info. faster there than I will trying to find something online through Kodak. If anyone has any suggestions, or knows what to do, PLEASE....let me know...just email me, or reply to this. I am going to try and send them again, at the end of this email. Maybe the program was just acting up last night, or something. Hopefully, today it will work.
Yesterday was a late day at work...as far as going in, but I was done around 6. So, two hrs. wasn't too bad, I guess, for not getting there till 4, once Aaron got home. Since Lee has Monday's off, and I didn't have to be in till 4, we decided to do a bit of running around that we didn't get done over the weekend. We needed another strand of Christmas lights, to make our outside decorations complete...before it gets freezin' cold, and a few other things. We also wanted to go by Goodwill, and look for Lee some jeans. We really got lucky there...4 prs. of jeans, and 2 prs. of khakis, for $22.00. Then across the parking lot to Wally World, to pick up the few things we needed there. Then we drove to Sonic, not far away and grabbed some lunch, then headed back towards home. On our way home, we stopped at the store, and picked up the couple of things I needed so Moriah can make her muffins for Thanksgiving. She got stuck with "creative cusine" this yr in school...(we called it Home Ec...does that give away my age or what?), and I mean stuck, cause she didn't want it. Plus, got stuck with both semesters of it, as if one wasn't bad enough. She so wanted to take art one semester, and jewelry making the next, but both of them were full and she couldn't get in to either one of them, so, 'creative cusine' is where she ended up. I tried to convince her that she'd love it, and even I was really disappointed that she couldn't get the jewelry course, and it sure did bumb out Lee...he was so excited that she was interested in learning what "he" does. That meant so much to him. I think she has realized though, how much fun it has been. She has really been having a ball, and is really enjoying cooking more now. She's made peanut brittle...which I've never made in my life, and she did great...not to mention other stuff. Now, she wants to contribute some muffins to our Thanksgiving dinner, and I think that's just great!
We got home, and got the extra string of lights put on the bush...but...(they don't look right, so I've got to go redo them again here in a bit), and then I had a bit of time to relax before having to leave for work and be there at 4. I really hated to go in that late, but just knew if I didn't, that between the weekend, and Monday, plus Tues. orders...would make today a mad house at work. So, I decided to go ahead and go in rather than be swamped today. As it was, I was in and out of there today in just a little over an hour. We only had about 14 books or so...I didn't count them...I sometimes do. So, I guess we could have not worried about yesterday, and it wouldn't have been that busy today, with no more than we had.
I just reheated some leftover pasta for supper, so that didn't take long, and then that brings us right back to where I was when we started this email. I was all excited to write you guys, and show you new pictures, and the stupid program wouldn't work...or whatever the prob. is. So...I am going to try this again, and hopefully, this time, it will work.
I hope you've all had a wonderful day!
Much love,
Lev

The weekend's almost over
How has everyone's weekend been going? I hope that you've all had a chance to enjoy it. I have sure enjoyed mine, but as usual, it always goes by too quickly. It will be nice next week with only having a 3 day week, with Thurs. off for Thanksgiving, and having Friday off also, as well as the weekend.
Aaron was out of town this weekend, and is suppose to be back tomorrow for so we can work. When I questioned him if he would be here, he said he really needed to be since we are going to have a short week as it is. So, I'm planning on going in tomorrow. I haven't heard anything from him to the contrary, unless he calls tomorrow morning.
I got part of my Christmas lights put up Saturday...I can't remember if I told you that or not. The rest I could not reach without getting on the roof, which I didn't really relish, so that's a project I was going to leave Lee for today. Turns out, that the lights i put up, we decided to take down and use them somewhere else. lol After sleeping in at our leisure, and taking our time drinking coffee, watching some tv, and trying to wake up to the morning, we stepped outside to deliberate what else we had left to do on our lights. We figured out, naturally, that we need a few more things, so off to Wally World we treked to grab a couple more strands of lights...and extension cord, ...so we could complete the lights on the outside of our house. So...we got the rest of the icicles hung around the front gutter, another strand added to the upstairs window and the garage door, and the front window, as well as the sidewalk lined with white lights. We also have a bush in our front yard that is lit. Right now, we only have one strand on it...we thought that would be enough, but, now that we look at it...it needs another one. I'll pick one up in the next couple of days. So...now at least all the outside is done incase we have really bitter cold weather set in...which I don't want AT ALL...but knew the lights would NEVER get put up if it got too cold.
I didn't get any of my grocery shopping done on Saturday, like I had thought I might. I had to go to Wal Mart, and then considered coming back home, and returning to the store a little later. But, I really didn't get out of the house in time to do that...just wasn't judging my time right, I guess, so, I just decided to do Wal Mart, and not worry about the store. I figured I could do it today, or Monday. Once we got the lights finished, we decided on some chili for supper, so I left Lee at home to start browning the hamburger, and I ran to the store to pick up the few things we needed for the chili. Landon and Moriah were both off work, and waiting to take Amanda to work and 5, and then they were headed over to our house. On my way to the store, I figured that since I hadn't done my shopping on Saturday, that since I was going to be at the store anyway, to get the stuff for chili, I'd go ahead and do the shopping I needed for Thanksgiving. It wasn't like I needed a ton of stuff, and I knew it wouldn't take me that long to get it while I was there. The only other thing I need to get now are a couple ingredients for some muffins that Moriah is going to make for our Thanksgiving trip to Lebanon. I can do that anytime in the next 3 days. Thats no
biggie...some pumpkin, and apples.
So, I guess I got about everything done this weekend that I needed to get done, including changing my sheets, and getting some laundry done, and still was able to have a very relaxing weekend.
I got a call late Friday evening that my camera was fixed, and ready to pick up. And what did I do????
Went right off and forgot to go get it Saturday when I was out!!! Then today in conversation with Lee, something was said about the camera...or taking a picture, or something, and I told Lee then, not to forget when we went to Wal mart, to go by and pick up the camera. Did we do it then?
Then, I was even out later and went to the store...and....

I sure hope that when I go to work tomorrow, and I'm on that side of town, that I will remember it then!!!
So, I trust that everyone has made plans to be with family and friends this Thanksgiving season. We have so much to be thankful for. It is so amazing to look back on our lives, and see all the things that we have been blessed with thoughout the years. I trust you will be able to share this time of love, and thank God for all the blessings he has bestowed on us all.

We'll be going to Lebanon to spend the day with my mom and dad. Dad can't make the trip up here...it's about 3 1/2 hours. So, mom is doing a little cooking...nothing to strenuous..she has to spend most of her time with dad. She's baking a ham, and doing vegtable...corn, and green beans, and is supplying the bread, and drinks, oh, and the mashed potatos. I'm cooking the turkey, and dressing, redhot jello, pineapple cake, and Moriah is fixing her muffins. Landon is baking an apple pie, and two pumpkin pies, baked yams, macaroni salad, and a veggie tray. We'll meet at landon's house Thurs. morning, around 10, which should put us in to lebanon around 1:00. Most everything will be cooked...maybe just a few things that need to be heated up, but we should be sitting down to a fabulous dinner, around 2:00. Unfortunately, amanda has to work. So, it will just be Landon, Kenny, Gabriel, and Mary going with us. We can't all fit into one car, so we'll have to take two. We'll take the Caddy, and Landon will take his car. Moriah will prob. ride with landon, since they like the same music. She hates listening to my oldies station. lol Kenny and Gabriel may want to ride with us...or their Aunt Miny...it's hard to say. I sure it will be at least midnight by the time we're home. I don't have to work on Friday. I asked Lee today if the store is open, and he hadn't heard yet if they were going to be closed on Friday or not. Lots of places are anymore.
Well, I guess I've been yackin' your ears off long enough. Just wanted to fill ya in on the "exciting" life of Lev.......hehehehe But, wanted to make sure that you all had a great weekend as well. I sure hope ya did!
Much love

JUST TOO COOL!!!
I have always loved adding backgrounds to my emails, and special things that I send people. I'm not sure why, but for some reason, I was never able to add my stationary to my post here on Lev's Notes. I'm not the smartest either, when it comes to all this html stuff, and really like having a place to go where I can just click on a background, and it will be added for me. Well, much to my surprise a few days ago, Lev's Notes started accepting my backgrounds, and I'm now able to add them. I'm not sure what the deal is...I didn't do a thing different...lol But, I'm just glad it's working! So, you'll now be enjoying the backgrounds to my posts in Lev's Notes as well. It will add a little more color, and pinach' (?) to the page! Hope you enjoy them! |
Oh Boy...my weekend!
| Oh, how I love Saturday's like this! Well, actually, I guess it could be any day of the week, but in particular, I mean a day when it is rather chilly outside...grey skies, with no sun peaking through what-so-ever, and I am cozy inside, not having anywhere really to go...but free to do so if I want. I guess basically... .I love the days when I can do just what "I" want to do. lol It is rather chilly out...only about 41. And here I said I like days like this. I guess that's a little controversial. ...considering that I would rather have it 70 right now. But, in Missouri, I am going to be stuck with cold weather, so, if I HAVE to be...then this is the way I like it. lol The high today is suppose to be a whoppin' 44! Wow! It could definately be colder...which I don't like, so will just settle for the 44. I got off work at a decent hour yesterda...just around 1. I had quite a few things I needed to take care of...the bank, $ General, drop by the insurance office to pay my car insurance, and was able to get all that done, and back home by 2:30 or so. I spent a bit of time on the puter, then decided I'd see what I could do about hanging the rest of the Christmas lights. It was beautiful out yesterday ...about 55, so I didn't mind being outside at all. The hands got a bit chilly after awhile...the wind was blowin' pretty good, but for November, all-in-all it wasn't bad. I got one string put up around our living room window. I wanted to get the rest of the lights hung around the gutters, but, we don't have a ladder, and short stuff 5'2" me, can't reach the gutters by standing in a chair...on my tiptoes...barely. ..but not enough to be able to even hang them, so I didn't even attempt. I debated... going out on the roof....but, that debating didn't last long... I do NOT like heights...at all. It's not that our roof is that high where I'd be...from the gutter, maybe 8-9 ft., so it's not like I wouldn't be able to jump, if my life depended on it. Whether my legs would take the spring at my age...especially since a broke my hip three years ago...I'm not sure. Anyway...I just figured I'd not try any roof climbing at all. We'll wait to hang those till Sunday. They have a ladder at Tucker's, so I may call Lee before he leaves today, and have him borrow the ladder from there, so he won't have to crawl up on the roof....(although, at 6'1"...he can reach the gutters from the chair a little easier than I can. lol Well, I suppose I don't really have to get out today, but I believe that I might. I have alot of cooking to do on Wednesday, for Thanksgiving, and on top of that, I work Wed. I'm going to have to tell Aaron, that I really need to be out of there early. I have turkey, salads, dressing, and something else...lol just went blank, but it will all have to be done on Wed. afternoon, and evening. We will be leaving Thursday morning to head for Lebanon, so everything will need to be done. Landon is going to be doing 3 pies... oh, I'm doing a cake also... and he's fixin' a salad as well as sweet potatos, and a relish tray also. My mom is going to fix the mashed potatos, gravy...and corn, and greenbean cassarole... Moriah's fav!!! So, since I'm going to be limited on time come Wednesday, I may go and try to get some...probably all, of my grocery shopping done today. I'm sure there will be something that I forget, and have to pick up later, but I can get the majority of it done today. I gotta do a bit of housework too...not much, but really need to vacume, and then just a few things to put away. I do need to change the sheets...but even that could be put off till tomorrow. Just depends how my time holds out this afternoon. Of course, the fact that I didn't get up till about 10:30, cut a bit of time off the day...and here I sit, still in my robe, and drinkin' coffee at noon...but geeeeeeee... why not? That's what I loooooooove about days like this! lol I've got some leftover chili in the fridge...if it's still good... lol If not..I may just get some canned chili at the store, and some hotdogs, and have coney's for supper. Guess you could consider that a "cold weather" meal. It will just be Lee and I, so who knows...we may just decide to run up the street to George's and grab a burger or something, and not even mess with cooking. Guess I'll just see how the day goes. Well...guess I'll get up, and see what and how fast I can get started on all this...hehehehehe I can assure ya, I'm not going to be doing any "super" rushin' around! hahaha I'm not that pressed for time. I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday, and upcoming Sunday. Thoroughly enjoy your weekend....Okay? Much love Lev |

Weekend's almost here
Tuesday was an absolute NIGHTMARE , with not doing any shipping on Monday. We had so much to ship! I finally got done at the post office at 5:30. Of course, by then it's dark, so I feel like it ought to be 8 or 9. One of the things I don't like about this time of year...not to mention the cold weather. I just hate it getting dark so early. Wed. wasn't too bad. I got done about 3. And today it was about 3 again. I'm a little surprise we're working tomorrow. Aaron's new girlfriend is coming to visit. She'll be here tonight, so needless to say, I was cleanin' my butt off all day at work. Anyway, with her here, I figured he wouldn't bother to work tomorrow, but he said we were. His girlfriend is a student, and guess she has some homework to do, so he figured he might as well work, since she'll be having to take time to do that. Next week will just be a 3 day week for us...Mon.-Wed. With Thursday being Thanksgiving, we'll be taking Friday off too. So, hopefully tomorrow, we'll get things done quickly, since she's there. I'm sure they'd rather not have me around.
I don't know that we have any big plans for the weekend. Moriah has to work, and will be going to landon's tomorrow night. She is going with a girlfriend after school though, to the mall to get her hair done, then to the movies. Moriah is dying to see "Happy Feet", so that's what they're going to go see. After the movie, her friend will bring her home. Landon and the kids will be coming over here for the evening, and then Moriah can ride home with them. We'll probably do something for supper, although, I'm not sure what. None of us have starved yet, though. hehehehe
I'm gonna pick up the couple more strands of Christmas lights that we need to finish the house. If the weather isn't too crazy cold this weekend, we'll probaby try to get that done on sunday...I'm assuming. Lee doesn't get a Saturday off unless he requests it, and to the best of my knowledge, he hasn't. I doubt that I'll put them up on Saturday, unless something happens that the weather is suppose to be really nasty, or something like that.
Well, guess I'll head outta here. I'm cravin' a big cup of hot chocolate.....mummmmmmm, might watch a little TV, and then hit the sack. It's already late.
Hope you all enjoy the up coming weekend. I'll be in touch.
Much love,
Lev

Hello Monday
Just droppin' in for a quick "HI"!
Hope you all had a great weekend. I guess ours went okay. We got a lot, although not all, of the stuff accomplished that we wanted. The brakes on the car could have been a whole lot easier to fix, and things could have gone alot more smoothly, and my rotors could have been turned, rather than having to buy new ones, but at least now they are done, and my car will stop on a dime!
My boss called this morning, and wasn't going to be in town till later, so I didn't have to go in till 1. lee was off today, and was going to get our Christmas lights up, which he got most of that done. We are going to get a couple more strands, and add some to the windows, but we'll make that next weekends project...unless we have a nice day sometime when I can do it when I get off work. But, we got the main ones hung, which require crawling up on the roof. At least we don't have to do that anymore. I think it will look nice when we get it done. Hopefully, my camera should be back in about a week, so I'll try to get some picts. of our Christmas lights to share with you. I still have some cute picts. from Halloween, that I never got to show you either. My day was mostly done before I felt like I got anything done. I got to work about 1:10, and Aaron still wasn't there. So, I had a couple of quick things to do, and when I got back just about 15 mins. later, he was there. He proceeded to get busy on the orders, he had told me we'd be done by 3, then for some reason, his new puter program wouldn't open. So, he was calling the company, trying to figure out the problem, when the next thing, I heard him say something about the program completely reinstalling itself. It was about 2:40, and I had been sorting through some CD's that we got in, and he told me that I could go ahead and leave whenever I wanted...that the program still wasn't working. So, I finished up what I was working on, and was gone by 3.
So...here it was the middle of the afternoon, and I really hadn't done much...a couple of things got done before work, but not much at work. I left work and had to make a run to wal-mart, then went by Salvation Army...I was looking for a lamp...which I found, and a bumper pad for the crib I have, which I found also. Then I ran to Lowe's to get some shelving for our garage, and a shade for the $3 lamp I bought...I paid $7 for the shade...hehehehehe! Anyway, I have a cute lamp, and still at about the same price as Wal-Mart..plus, I didn't see anything at Wal-Mart that I liked...they were all too big. So...guess I still made myself a pretty good deal anyway. I know i did on the bumper pad. Wally world only had the sets... bumper, comforter, sheets...etc. I didn't need all that. Their cheapest one was $30. I got just the bumper pad, which was all I needed, and a pretty lavender color...it was $1! Boy...do I EVER LOVE thrift stores!!!
So...by the time I got back home, it was going on 5:00. I felt like my day was done, since it was already starting to get dark. Landon was over for awhile this afternoon, and helped Lee some with the lights. I was hoping to be home before he left, but Moriah called me when I was at Lowes...my last stop before heading home, and she told me Landon was getting ready to leave then. So...I missed getting to see him today.
Well, hopefully, the puter program will be running tomorrow when I get back to work. let's hope at least, that if something happens it isn't, he'll call me before I drive to the opposite side of town. I guess I could finish hanging the Christmas lights, if something happens I don't work tomorrow. Guess that will all depend on what the weather dose. Seems like I remember something about rain. Guess I'll have to check my weather page.
Well, guess I'll head outta here. Lee's downstairs by himself watching TV...Moriah was changing the sheets on her bed...I helped, but I don't see any lights coming from her room now. She has maybe gone to bed. It almost 9. She's a pretty early to bed person. She gets up around 5:30, so she's anxious to hit the sack at night. And me...I'm sitting here in my puter room...listening to my birds chirp every once in a while, the low buzz of my fan, and the sound of the tv from downstairs....what a combo. Guess I could have the tv going in here too...more noise for the background. lol
Have a great week, and I'll be in touch soon!
Much love,
Lev

Enjoyin' your weekend?
It was sure great getting off work yesterday, and at a 1/2 way decent time to boot, knowing that my weekend had arrived. I consider my weekend started, the second I get off work on Friday. lol I took Lee to work Friday morning, then came home for awhile before having to leave for work myself. I had to stop at $ General before I came home, but was able to relax for sometime before having to go pick Lee up at work around 7. From there, we headed to Ashland to Landon's house, stopping on our way to pick up the pizza's I had ordered ahead of time. We watched DaVinci Code last night...I guess I can't say too much about it, as I dozed off and on throughout the movie. I won't say that it was because it was boring...contrary to the least, it was very intriguing, an "edge-of-your-seater" so to speak, but for some reason, I was just dog tired, and couldn't seem to keep my eyes open. It is definately one I want to see again, when I'm able to stay awake. We got home around midnight, and Lee watched a bit of TV, as did I, and messed on the puter for awhile, before finally hitting the sack. Lee wasn't more than 15 mins. or so behind me. I knew I didn't have to get up this morning, but Lee did for work. I didn't take him to work this morning. As far as I knew, landon was going to be here at some point to work on the car, and I didn't really have any place I needed to go, so just let Lee take the car. I woke up around 10...had some coffee, and messed on the puter a bit, then decided I better try to get a little done on the house. There wasn't much to do, just a few things to pick up...sweep the kitchen, and vacume, so it didn't take me long. Landon had arrived before I even finished...a little before noon. He is having some glass replaced in a window, and had come into town to check on that. We made several phone calls, but none of the glass places were open. We're not sure if it was mostly because of it being a Saturday, or a holiday...Veteran's Day. So...when he couldn't get that done, then he just started on the brakes for Lee. We didn't get them completely done, not even as much as we thought we would, but, it is at least started, and it will be better than Lee having to start from the beginning tomorrow. Hopefully now, it's not going to be too big of a deal tomorrow, and we can get them finished. Landon had to be home in time to take Amanda to work at 5, so he headed on home. I told him that we'd take him out to dinner, for spending his only day off messing with our car.... Since he had to be back tonight, we're gonna do it tomorrow when he brings Moriah back home. Lee will get off at 7 and should be here before 7:30. Since I'm stuck here with no car, and no way to get to the store, there's not much i can do with supper, since there's not much in this house...heheeeee As soon as Lee gets home, we're gonna run just a couple of blocks from our house to a little place to get a burger...actually, there are two places available...we're not sure which one we're going to yet, but they're right across the street from each other, and only about 2-3 mins. from the house...literally. Saturday nights is about our favorite time in this house. Lee is quite relieved that he's home from work, with the next 2 days off, which he really looks forward to. We know we don't have to get up early...or at least set the alarm. I always said there is a difference between having to get up, and having to get up because you have to be somewhere. Even tomorrow, not having to go to work, it won't be unusual if Lee is up by 9...maybe 10 at the latest. But, he enjoys watching tv, which drinking his morning coffee. I think though, since he has to finish the brakes tomorrow, will probably try to get started on them before noon....but again, it still isn't like having to rush off to work by a certain time. Another plus...it can be done in your warmups and sweatshirt....lol...at least that way you're still comfortable, and you can take a break when you feel like it! lol I'm also going to try and talk him into hanging our Christmas lights tomorrow, before it gets so freezin' cold, he doesn't wanna do it. Hopefully, the brakes will go easy, and he'll have time to do that. If not, he does have Monday off too, so maybe they could be done then. Our neighbor across the street put his up today. The look really nice. He has his gutters all trimmed in red and white...his sidewalk lined with small green light, and his lawn decorated with those white wire reindeer...that light up...all done in white with red accents. Here I was looking out the window, just now, describing his yard, and how pretty it looked, and now he's gone and turned them all off. lol Oh well...for me it is a little early to turn lights on. We may hang ours, but we won't turn them on till after thanksgiving. I suppose if I put out as much as he did each year, I'd go ahead and keep them on, even if it was a little early. I don't know about this holiday stuff anymore...every year we rush it more!!!! We had places here in town that had Christmas stuff out before they had halloween stuff out. Now, when it isn't even Thanksgiving yet, every store is packed to the hilt with Christmas stuff, like it was just a week or two away. It's like they all have to be a step ahead of the game. I guess there are people that buy that early...but for the most part, I don't go looking for Christmas stuff till after Thanksgiving is over. I like to pull out what Christmas stuff I have...figure out where I'm gonna put it, and decide if there is something else I need that I don't have. It will be alot of fun I think this year. We have a new home to put things in...new places....we got alot...I mean alot of christmas decorations from lee's mom...when she moved. About 4 large totes full. So we'll also have alot of new stuff put put out and find a place for. Christmas is my favorite holiday anyway, and I always look forward to the time I start decorating. Well, guess not much else has happened. That pretty much fills you in on my last couple of days. It wasn't the warmest today...didn't even make it to 50, so it was a little brisk working outside on the car. Tomorrow is suppose to be a little better... 57 and sunny. Today might not have felt so bad, had the wind not been whippin' like Indiana Jones had ahold of it's tail. lol the wind made it bitter cold. Maybe tomorrow the wind will give us a break. I hope you've all had a great past couple of days, since we talked last. I hope you're enjoying your weekend, hopefully, not having to work, but if you are unfortunate and have to work weekends, I at least hope they go smoothly for you. Love to you all......... Take care Much love, Lev |

Hey Guys!
Here we are, 1 day away from the weekend being here...well sorta, give or take a few hours. I will be so ready for the weekend. The day was going pretty good, got out of work at a decent hour, but when I got no more than a couple of blocks from work, driving over some rough road where there had been some street construction going on...but they're not done and haven't finished it the way they should, I hear a "clunk, clunk" come from my right front tire...and I knew immediately that it was the brakes...that we were suppose to get fixed last weekend, but didn't. We were so hoping that it would hold on till this weekend, but it just couldn't do it. Once I heard the noise, I tried to apply the breaks slowly, and they went to the floor. GREAT!!! Just what I needed! I started to pump them, and they soon caught, but they started that awful grinding noise, that just send the chill up your back, cause you know what it's doing to your rotors. So....I limped it home. I guess Landon's gonna try and work on it Saturday for us...he's off. Lee won't be able to get a day off till Sunday. I'll have to take Lee to work tomorrow...back home, then me go to work, back home, then Moriah and I will have to go pick up Lee when he's off, then we're headed to Landon's for a pizza supper, and to drop off Moriah, and watch the DiVinci Code...which we were going to do tonight, but it got postponed till tomorrow night.
So, tonight, I can relax...I guess, even though I got a messed up car. Since we had planned on going to Landon's tonight for supper and the movie, I had nothing here to fix, so just called pizza hut, and had them deliver sandwiches, so we didn't have to try and mess with cooking, or getting out to go eat somewhere.
After supper, I got two loads of laundry folded and put away...not my fav. thing, but at least now it's done. I have to wait for a load of Moriah's clothes to dry, and then I need to do another load of jeans, so lee has pants for tomorrow...lol! Bet the jewelry store would be busy tomorrow!
hahahahaha Boy...what a way to drum up business! heheWith that done, I just decided to head to the puter and check in to see what's been happin' online over the last few hours...since I was here last. And, figured while I was here, I'd drop a quick line to say "HI", and fill ya in on the day. Which could have been better...but could have also been MUCH worse. So, I'm just thankful I made it home okay.
Well, guess I'll head outta here, and may go jump in a hot tub. That sounds rather good, after the long day that I've had. I need a little relaxation!

Hope you've all had a great day!
Take care.....
Much love,
Lev
Cheech and Chong
I will kinda warn you.... this is a "little" long... but believe me, with your imagination, it will well be worth it. They had the church rolling when they did this skit. Then when the skit was over, Mike would finish his sermon, covering some of the subjects that had been mentioned in the script.... the speck in your bothers eye... the parble of the lost sheep... etc. On several occasions Mike and Lee were asked to come to other chruches to perform the skit for them. I know that you will all love it as much as we who have seen it do.
CHEECH AND CHONG AT THE TENT REVIVAL
>
>Cheech: Hey man, What's happin?
>
>Chong: Hey man.
>
>Cheech: Hey man, were you down town last night?
>
>Chong: Yeah man. I was gonna have a few beers and hang out.
>
>Cheech: Did you see that big tent in the park?
>
>Chong: Yeah. There was a band there and dude. I went to check it out.
>
>Cheech: Me too man, that band was kickin'.
>
>Chong: big crowd too man, they were gettin down.
>
>Cheech: I know man. They were dancing and singin'. A lot of people had their hands in the air. At first I thought they were under arrest!
>
>Chong: I know man. I thought the party was busted.
>
>Cheech: I asked this one chick, Hey man, what's with the hands up deal? She said, "I'm just praising the Lord." Then I realized, ... Man, ... these are a bunch of Jesus freaks.
>
>Chong: I know man, but everyone was cool. And the music was good, so I stuck around.
>
>Cheech: Me too man, after a while I had my hands in the air too. It just felt good to be there.
>
>Chong: I know man, it was far out. Did you stick around and listen to that dude speak?
>
>Cheech: Yeah Man, he was cool. He even had a tattoo like me. He said it wasn't what 's on the outside that matters, it's what's on the inside that counts.
>
>Chong: I know man. He said lots of cool stuff.
>
>Cheech: Most of the time he was quotin' that Jesus dude.
>
>Chong: Did you catch that part about loving your enemies? Cheech, you better quite hoping that one dude gets deported.
>
>Cheech: I know man. I'm gonna try to get along with that guy. Did you catch the part about pointing out the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye when you've got a plank in your own? There's some people that you need to be nicer to too, man.
>
>Chong: OK man. I know, relax dude. Did you hear him talk about worry.
>
>Cheech: Yeah man, I heard that part.
>
>Chong: Man you're always worrying about getting stuff for your low-rider... leopard skin dashboard, chain steering wheel, new hydraulics,... so it bounces up and down.
>
>Cheech: knock it off man, you made your point.
>
>Chong: ooh, now your under conviction.
>
>Cheech Man, don't talk about conviction. Last time I got convicted for stealing that car.... I almost had a heart attack.
>
>Chong: I know man, but the judge put you on probation.
>
>Cheech: yeah, but if I mess up again the judge will drop the hammer on me.
>
>Chong: That's why you're always suppose to think what would Jesus do?
>
>Cheech: He sure wouldn't steal a car would he?
>
>Chong: God's cool man. If you mess up and then tell God your sorry and stop doin' it, He forgives you and forgets about it.
>
>Cheech: Yeah, and if you mess up again, you tell God you're sorry again and stop it, He forgives you and forgets about it again? He doesn't say... "That's it!! You're going to hell.", God wants us all to go to heaven.
>
>Chong: That's right man. People just gotta know. They gotta be told.
>
>Cheech: Remember when he talked about the harvest? He said, " the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest therefore to send out workers into His harvest fields."
>
>Chong: Remember that time we went and picked oranges? Man there were so many oranges. I thought.... "no way. We'll never get done."
>
>Cheech: Yeah man, but my cousins came and my cousin's friends, and my cousin's friend's cousins. And we got it done man.
>
>Chong: Yeah man. We all had to work together. It was way too much for one or two guys.
>
>Cheech: That stuff about the fish was cool.
>
>Chong: You mean the story about the guys fishing with a net?
>
>Cheech: Yeah man, they pulled the net up on the shore and sat down to separate the fish.
>
>Chong: Oh yeah man. They put the good fish in baskets to keep and threw the bad fish away.
>
>Cheech: But how do you get to be a good fish?
>
>Chong: Jesus man,. When you ask Jesus to be your savior, you become a good fish, it's the only way.
>
>Cheech : I liked that pair of bulls about the lost cheep.
>
>Chong: That's parable man, not pair of bulls.
>
>Cheech. Ok man, whatever, so anyway, what about this lost cheep.
>
>Chong : Man, what's a cheep?
>
>Cheech: Cheep man, you know... baa... baa. Cheep!
>
>Chong: Man you should have quit doing drugs way before you did.
>
>Cheech: Right man, tell us about your cheep.
>
>Chong: You know man, this guys got a hundred sheep and one of them wanders off, so he leaves the 99 to go find the one. And He's happy when He finds it.. God doesn't want anybody to be lost.
>
>Cheech:.. Wasn't it neat at the end of his message?
>
>Chong: you mean the "Roman road" part?
>
>Cheech: First He said... "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Then He said... " If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. You will be saved. Then He said, everybody close your eyes and bow your heads and then he said the salvation prayer and he invited people to pray with him if they wanted to get saved, and it went like this. Dear Lord, I know I'm a sinner and ask you to forgive me. I believe that Jesus was crucified, buried, and rose again. I ask Jesus to be my savior and Lord and put all my faith and hope in Him. I pray to you in the name of Jesus. Amen.
>
>Then with every bodies eyes still closed, he said,... if you prayed that prayer with me and meant it, raise your hand . Man..... I opened one eye,,,, and peaked around. Lots of people beside me had their hand up.
>
>Chong: I know man me too. Lots of people got saved last night.
>
>Cheech: Yeah man, it was cool. This chick grabbed me and hugged me, called me brother and said she loved me. She didn't hug me like she wanted to take me home.... She hugged me like I was her brother.
>
>Chong: I know man, some big sweaty dude did the same thing to me.
>
>Cheech: So what you gonna do today?
>
>Chong: The best I can man
>
>Cheech: me too man. Go tell people about Jesus. Hey, I love you brother.
>
>Chong: Hey brother I love you too man.
