Wow...Friday already!

Well, here it is, Friday already, and I haven't been in to say Hi since Monday. It seems that Moriah, and Landon and Amanda, when they've been here, have hogged the puter a bit, so it seems I haven't been able to have it to myself for sometime. I suppose I have had the opportunity, but was doing other things that I'd promised myself I'd try and get done this week. So...I was puting my computer off...which I'll admit, I don't do too often. lol

So, Monday it did finally clear up, the sun come out, and warm up a bit....enough to be able to work on my garage like I wanted. I had lunch with Lee on Mon., then headed out to Landon's to pick up Moriah. Amanda had to work Monday night, so we decided to just load the boys, Mary, and Landon up...and Moriah(she spent the night Sunday), and headed back to our house. Moriah watched the kids...or Mary at least for Landon, and he and I worked on getting some cleaning done on the garage. Kenny and Gabriel were playing outside most of the time, riding bikes. We got a lot accomplished, and it sure makes a big difference, when you try to walk through the garage.

Tuesday we got rain, so I spent that day cleaning closets, which was another thing I told myself I was going to do. I really needed to sort through clothes/shoes, etc. and get the stuff that we don't use out of the closet, and boxed for a garage sale. So, with it raining most of the day, I was able to get both my closet, and Moriah cleaned out, and a WHOLE lot of clothes eliminated!!! We stayed home Tues. night...with NO company. I was bushed after tackeling the messes that I had in both those closets.

Wednesday was beautiful...almost 70, and the sun was shinning brightly. This is the day I promised myself I'd get all my plants taken outside...hopefully for the rest of the summer months. I was able to do that, and also buy a few new flowers, and a couple of other plants. I got a heather bush, which I ablsolutely love! Landon and the gang came over again on Wed. night and we had supper.

My information for my data entry stuff came in Wednesday too. Then, on top of that, I received a call from a guy that I had contacted several weeks ago about a job, and he wanted to meet with me for an interview, so we made plans to meet on Thurs.

Lee had Thursday off, and wanted to try working on the motorcycle for a bit, and Landon had the day off as well, so he told his dad he'd help him mess with it. I went to meet with Aaron(the job interview), then from there headed on to Ashland to pick up Landon, Mary, and the boys, to come back to our house. Amanda had to work, so they just decided to hang out here. We ordered pizza's for supper, after Lee and Landon had messed with the bike...to no avail...unfortunately. After just getting all my plants put out the day before, and with what this area went through a few weeks ago with severe storms, we were NOT happy at all when all of a sudden, we heard the tornado sirens sounding. We knew there were to be thundstorms, but I don't think anyone was expecting this. Sedalia got hit....again...with a tornado. There were 4 killed around that area during the last round of tornados. I didn't want to risk anything...they were talking possible hail again, so we immediately starting dragging all my plants into the garage....spread old blankets over the car windows, in hopes to avoid having them broken...and pulled everything that could possibly get broken into the house, or garage....then we prayed, and just held out breath. Thank God, by the time the storm reached our area, it began to break up a little, and we didn't get any hail...just some pretty rough winds, and hard rain. But, it didn't last more than about 15 mins, the front was moving so fast.

Today has been absolutely beautiful. It has been up around 70, although it has been pretty windy. I did get my plants pulled out of the garage first thing thismorning, so they could get some of the beautiful sun that was shinning. We made arrangements to go to Landon's tonight for supper...we've got a movie we wanna watch. So, since I knew I didn't have to go anywhere, I took on one of my other projects....that I'd told myself I wanted to do, and that was to get my back patio, although very very little, cleaned up, and ready for us to enjoy with the warmer months coming. I did get that done, and also another plant repotted, and Bogey's chain and doghouse moved in the back yard.

About my job interview...I did get it, which I am quite happy about. I am going to be working for a young guy...probably late 20's who works out of his home...he sells books, online. He just wants someone around...a "personal assistant", to help him out with all that has to be done. I'll be doing a variety of things, from cleaning house, laundry, do mailing for his business, grocery shopping, wal-mart, etc....as well as clean out fish tanks...he has two, and raises fish as well, and also a little dog, that he said would be needed let out occasionally...lol It is Monday-Friday, 10-2, and the pay is great. I think that I will enjoy it. I got very lucky that he is not an "early" riser either...so neither of us want any kind of rediculous 7am or anything like that....lol Anyway, I will start on Monday. I think it will be great, and will tie me over while I get the data entry business up and going.

Well, I need to head outta here and go meet Lee, then we're headed to Landon's for supper. I'm suppose to meet Lee in about 15 mins. I'll be back later tonight, I'm sure, although, it will probably be late, but am going to be here tomorrow, as far as I know, so I'm sure I'll be here to check in.

I hope you all had a great day...and sorry I yacked so much of your leg off....lol. Guess that's what happens when I don't get in here for a few days.

Much love,
Lev

Goodmorning Monday

How is everyone doing on the first day of this new week? Fine, I hope!

It's been a pretty laid back morning for me. I didn't get up till about a quarter of 10, of course, I didn't go to bed till almost 3. lol I was awake about an hour earlier, just before Lee left for work, and I almost got up then. After he left, I just laid in bed for awhile, with every intention of getting up within the next few minutes. Next thing I knew, it was 9:45. haha

I hadn't been up too long when Lee called me. He left his bag here with his insulin and blood meter in it, and ask me to bring it to him sometime before lunch. Not long after talking to him, I considered what he might be doing for lunch...not knowing if he took anything leftover from here at the house...although, I'm not sure that we have anything, so I called him back to ask if he wanted to meet me for lunch at Ernie's...a little diner about 2 blocks from where he works...to which he agree, so I will be leaving in a bit to have a "lunch date" with my hubby.

Moriah is on spring break all this week....she's looking forward to that. We went to Landon's yesterday afternoon...watched movies, and did supper last night, and Moriah decided to stay all night out at Landon's since she didn't have school today. So, I suppose that once I done having lunch with Lee, I'll just head on to Ashland. Landon is off at 1:30, and I had told him to call me when he got off, and knew at some point I'd have to go get Moriah, but since I'm going to already be out, guess it would be a little pointless to go back home, and then have to get out again. So...I'll probably just hang out at Landon's for awhile this afternoon, and probably come home in time to start working on some supper.

I've promised myself that this week, since Moriah has off, and I can get some help, to try and tackle my garage, and see what can be done with that mess. There is so much stuff that I'm hanging on to...in the garage, and in the house, especilly clothes, that I keep telling myself I "might" use. Well....If I say, or even think that I "might" use it....it's outta here!!!!! With me not working right now, I should be able to have a garage sale, which I have been telling myself I'd have since we moved here going on almost 4 yrs ago. I thought I might start on that today, but when I got up it was chilly and rainy, so I didn't think I was going to be able to get anything done. But, now, the sun is starting to come out, and it feels as though it is beginning to warm up a bit...it is suppose to be almost 60, so, after getting to Ashland...depending on what the weather is like then...prob. around 2, I may just grab Moriah, and Landon said he'd help too, and come on back and see what little bit we could get started on. Lee doesn't much like it, but I'm going to try and get him to go through some of his clothes with me tonight. He is about as bad as I am with his clothes..especially shirts, and always says he "might" use it. His "mights" are gonna go too. lol Anything he doesn't want, might possibly be some stuff that will fit Landon too...he wears his shirts a little big..so it's no biggie to him, and he could use some clothes. Unfortunately, Landon could use pants, but no way he can wear Lee's....Landon is much smaller in the waist than Lee.

Tomorrow night it is suppose to get down to about 36...still just a little cold for my houseplants to be outdoors, but, after tomorrow night, for at least the next week, temps aren't suppose to get below 43 in the evenings. So, Wed, which is suppose to be a beautiful day, I am going to get the outside of my house cleaned up...swept, lawn chairs cleaned, etc., and move all my plants that are indoors, to the outside, hopefully, for good, till next fall. When I get all my plants out of the house, it gives me alot more room...especailly in my living room, which is where most of them are, so that will open the living room up a bit, and not quite so cramped. Winter is rough on my plants....I don't get much light in my house...very limited windows, so my plants are really ready for some sun...and spring rains. They love it outdoors all summer! I'll get them out Thurs...to get some sun, then Thurs, most of the day, we are suppose to have rain....so they can get nice and soaked, and drink up some fresh water...just Friday, the sun is to be out again in full force, and I'm sure they'll love that.

Well, guess I need to take off here in a bit to head up to meet Lee. I'll be back sometime...probably this evening...if I work on my garage as I want...and then of course Moriah will want the puter...so who knows what time I'll get back here...but I will be.

Hope you all have a great day, and hope it is BEAUTIFUL!

Much love,
Lev

Amazing Picture and saying "HI"

It is late, and I really should be in bed, but, Landon and Amanda were here tonight for supper, and so that I meant I didn't get on the puter till late, myself. It was probably close to 1:00 am before I got home.

I got an amazing photo from a friend/x-boss that I just had to share with you, so thought I might as well say a few things while I was here.

I've been promising Kenny and Gabriel that they could stay all night with Nannie. They seemed to always ask on a weekday, when Kenny had school the following morning, so, we figured with this being the weekend, it would be a good time, plus, give Landon and Amanda a bit of a break too. So...Kenny and Gabriel are here, for tonight, and are going to stay again tomorrow night, unless they get homesick. lol...and I doubt that. We'll take them back home Sunday afternoon....Landon has Sunday off, and so does Lee. Amanda, however, I'm not sure about. She starts a new job tomorrow and I'm not sure if she works on Sunday or not. She goes in at 3 tomorrow, and works, I think, till close, which is 10. she is working at Movie Gallery. She knows the manager there, and they are working with her oppisite Landon's schedule, so they won't need a babysitter. Daycare is rediculously unaffordable!!!!! It's about $800 a month for Kenny and Gabriel, full time...not to mention an infant now, with Mary. It's hard to even find daycares that will take infants that small. So....not having to worry about daycare will be a relief...and it is definately a big relief that she's now working. It has been really tough on them with just Landon's salary for the past year...or almost. It's been awhile since both of them have been working full time, at the same time, so I know it is a big relief to them both that more money will be coming in each month.

Well...to this picture I wanted to share. You remember me telling you about the bad storms/tornados, that we had here a little over a week ago. Missouri was hit very hard in 3 seperate sections of the state. One section south east of us...about 3 counties to the west of us, and about 20 miles north of where we live. The counties west of us were hit pretty hard, and 4 people lost their lives in that area of missouri. The main damage done in a small town just outside Sedelia, which is where our Missouri State Fair is held. It takes about an hour...maybe just a bit more...15 mins., to get to Sedelia from Columbia. So...it is not like it's that far away. This picture was sent to me by a friend...he's also an x-boss of mine. Anyway, the picture was taken by his cousin, during the storm that hit Sedelia. It is quite amazing.

I'll be around this weekend...I'm sure. Hope you have a great one!

Much love,
Lev

How are you all this Thurs?

So, how has everyone been since I was in last? I hope you've all been doing great!
There hasn't been much going on here.

Landon and the rest of the gang came over for supper last night, and we got together on Monday night too. Tonight, we're not headed anywhere, and as far as tomorrow night...who knows. lol

Today's payday, so tomorrow will be a day for running, and paying some bills. If Lee has tomorrow off, we'll be headed to the bank too. I also am going to have to do my shopping tomorrow for Eva's first birthday present. WOW....can you believe that she is almost a yr. old???? I remember when I thought she'd never get here! Anyway, all the outfits she use to have with "Mizzou" stuff on them....she has out grown, so, I told Kirk I'd try to find her something for her birthday...so she can be a little "Mizzou Tiger" again. I'm going to have to find something and get it mailed on Friday. It may not make it by here birthday as it is. I'm afraid that it will take longer than a week to get there. Plus, they're already a day ahead of me anyway...time wise.

I've done absolutely nothing all day. lol I've been most of the time at this computer, and doing my nails as I brouse through the net. I've sent some emails...done some chatting with friends, and have a wonderfuly lazy day. lol I'm not going to make the day totally useless...lol...I told myself that I'd just be a little bit lazy till Moriah got home. Once she gets here, she'll want to be on the puter, and then I'll take that opportunity to do some of the stuff I could have been doing since I got up. But, may be it won't take long. Then maybe I won't feel like I've been a total slob all day...lol.

I don't have much here food wise...till I get to the store. So, I think I'll call Lee later and have him go through somewhere and bring some fast food stuff home....KFC, or McDonalds. We can get the 99cent sandwichs at either place...and can feed the 3 of us for about $7. You can't hardley cook for that...a little over $2 a head.

Well, guess I'll head outta here. Moriah should be here before too much longer, and I'll have to give up possession of my puter for while...hahaaha. Oh well, I'm sure I will be back at some point tonight...when, is the question...lol

Hope you have all had a great day!

Much love,
Lev

Hello on Monday

Here it is, Monday already. I can't believe that it's been a week since I've been in to say Hi. There hasn't been much going on, so it's not like you've missed anything, really. Since we last talked, we've gone out to Landon's a couple of times for supper, and they have come over here a couple of times also. They were here last night, and I fixed fried chicken, mashed pot. and gravy, green beans and corn....a family "favorite" here, and it had been quite a while since I'd made it. They all rave about my chicken....and we did all eat till we were about to pop! lol

In a couple of hours, I'm gonna go get Landon, and take him to the bank, and then we're headed over to his bosses old apt. His boss has moved, and was looking for someone to clean the old apt. before turning the keys back over for inspection. He was looking to hire and pay someone. Landon offered to do it...so his boss is gonna pay him $50 to clean it. So, when we're done at the bank, we'll head over there and do that. It shouldn't take long. The apt. is empty. So, it will just be some basic cleaning, vacume, bathrooms, windows...with the two of us doing it, it shouldn't take anytime at all. Once we're done there, I'm not sure what else we're gonna do....I think that should be it, and by then, will probably be about time for me to head back home, and work on supper, and things around here before Lee gets home.

I was up a little early this morning, or at least for me. I awoke to the sound of a door shutting....a little harder than was necessary...which is probably why I heard it...I usually don't. When I looked at the clock it was about 8:40, and I knew that it had been Lee on his way out the door, and headed to work. I crawled out of bed, and walked into the living room, just in time to see the car go down the street through our front windows. I went on back into the kitchen, poured my coffee, then
came in to sit down at the puter. This is where my Monday morning turned a little nasty....putting my foot right smake in the middle of a pile of dog poop!!!!! How in the world could Lee miss that...right in the middle of the living room floor....I just don't know. But, the more I thought about it...evidently I missed it too, because I had already walked into the living room before I ever got my coffee...and watched Lee drive down the street...then had to walk past it again to get back to the kitchen. So, I suppose it is possible that Lee didn't see it either. So, after having "so much fun" cleaning dog poop up, first thing in the morning, I finally was able to sit down at the puter with my cup of coffee.

Phantom of the Opera just started a bit ago on one of the movie channels we get. Wow...this is such a good movie...one I've been hoping they would make for years now...and they finally did!!! If any of you haven't seen it...it IS A MUST! If you'd like to hear the music from Phantom, you can listen to it on the music page in my blog.

Well, I guess I'll head outta here, and maybe I can get a few things done around here before I have to leave to go get Landon, in a couple of hours. I hope you all have a great day. They are calling for snow....1-3 inches, here in the Columbia area....boy, I sure hope they're wrong. But, with a chance of it for the next couple of days...rain, sleet, and snow, something tells me we may see one last little bit of winter. Once it is over...I think that will probably be the last we'll see of cold weather, or for awhile, at least. So...I hope wherever you are, you're not having to deal with snow...but are graced with warmth and sunshine.

Have a great day!

Much love,
Lev

Checkin' in on Tuesday

Good evening, everybody...
Thought I'd drop in for a quick "HI". I've been running a little crazy this afternoon. Went into town around noon and picked up Lee and went with him to his Dr. appt....his regular 6 mo. check up with his onocologist. They said he was lookin' good...and he goes back in another 6 months.

After than, I ran and picked up my final check from the cleaners. It just had to be "hag" Mary, that came to the window and gave me my check...although, she was pleasant...I must say. At least I won't have to go back there anymore. I'm sure at some point I'll need something drycleaned, and although I will be taking my clothes to a Concord Cleaners...you can bet that it won't be the one I use to work at.... lol

After than, ran to the bank to set up a new account....which isn't the easiest for us...with credit not so hot. But, I got it done, and it will all work out in the long run, I'm sure.

After than, I ran to Wal-Mart to pick up a couple of things. I needed a new coffee pot, and Lee's mom gave us some money to get one, so I made sure that I got that today, so that we can have good, hot coffee tomorrow morning when we get up. Moriah has been buggin' me for a few days to go to Wal Mart. She got a gift card for her birthday from her Uncle Scotty. Naturally, it was burning a hole in her pocket...like money does with most 16 yr old teenage girls...lol But, It came in really handy, cause she was REALLY needing a new pair of jeans....well, acutally, more than one....but she at least got one today. Well, she called my cell when I was at Wal Mart....and I had already told myself that when I got home, we'd go back to Wal Mart, because I knew she wanted to go...plus, had some food items to get at the super wal mart, that I couldn't get at the one I was at. So...when she called, as i suspected, she wanted to know if we could go back, to which I told her sure...that I was getting ready to leave and would be home before long. So...like I said, she found a pair of jeans, and a couple of tee shirts...to which mom had to add a few $'s....they NEVER seem to have enough. lol

We had left-over lasagne for supper, so when we got home from the store I made my salad to go with supper, and got things organized there, and Lee got home around 7:30 or so. And...the rest of the evening has finally calmed down and been a relaxing night at home.

Tomorrow...I have to run to Tucker's around noon...Lee and I need to go to the bank so he can sign some stuff. It's just across the street from the store. Other than that, I haven't got anything else to do, until I go get Landon, and the rest of them to bring to our house, we're gonna do pizza for supper tomorrow night. I probably need to try and get some laundry done tomorrow too. I had it all caught up before Lee's mom got here, and now it's piling up again. Guess I need to do it before it gets waaaaaay outta hand. lol

Well, guess that's about all that's going on here. I am including some pictures of Mary, and her Great Grandma Laura, and also some of the storms that we had this weekend. I saw on the news yesterday, that there may have been as many as 110 tornados spotted on Sunday in the "midwest".... last count I saw was probably a little over 50 of those were in Missouri.

So...there's links if you wanna see...and more pictures.

Hope you all had a great day, and hope you tomorrow is even more wonderful. I'll be in touch!

Much love,
Lev

A stormy day, headed into the week

Just thought I'd drop in for a quick "HI".

It was a terribly stormy day in Columbia yesterday...well, actually all over the state of Missouri. Lee's mom was back in town for a visit, and yesterday, early afternoon, I went to Ashland to pick up Landon and the rest of the gang, since we had made plans to get together with them while Laura was here, and they'd have a chance to spend sometime with her too. I started working on supper around 4, but it wasn't long after that that things started getting a little squirelly. Landon, Moriah, Gabriel, and Kenny had been outside riding bikes and playing....when suddenly, we heard the tornado sirens blaring out their warning. We weren't paying any attention to the tv...so when the sirens went off, we were all a little shocked. We immediately turned on the weather chanel to see what was going on in the area. It wasn't long after, that we begin to start hearing the ping ping of hail on the roof....just about pea size at first, then it continued to get bigger and stronger...the sound of the hail was deafening, and before it ended, had turned out to be about ping pong size hail. When it finished....it looked like it had snowed. All of our cars got hail damage...including Lee's mom's new van....and the neighbors across the street....it broke windows in all three of their cars. Luckily, Laura's windshield, nor none of her van window were broken, and none of the windows on our car got broken. Tornados surrounded us it seemed on all side, but miraculously, steared clear of columbia itself, but did some horrible damage to near by and neighborning towns. We had 3 seperate big bands of storm move through, that we watched and kept an eye on, all of them contain tornadic activity. Landon and his family live in a mobil home, and it was about 1am before the weather was all in the clear, and we felt safe about taking them back home. I wasn't about to take them back to a trailer, if we still had tornados going through the area, and would have kept them here all night if necessary...regardless of the fact that we would have had to had Landon at work by 6am this morning. But, fortunately, the storms moved on by, leaving us with clear skies the rest of the night. Unfortunately, though, not without leaving a path of desturction behind.

Severe Weather

So...other than the weather, which has beent he bigest thing going on right now...there hasn't been much. Other than the trama af the weather, we had a great time visiting with Lee's mom the couple of days she was here. She left about 30 mins. ago, headed back for Indiana. She was wanting to stay a little longer, thinking that she didn't have an appts. or the such, that would keep her from taking a few days away from home. She did realize that she had a drs. appt. on Tues. that she was not going to be able to cancel, so she opted to go ahead and head home, and then plans on coming back...probably a week or two she says, when she can stay longer. She didn't really say for how long, but I'm gonna say maybe a week or so. It is about a 6-7 hr. drive, so she should be arriving back in crawfordsville, IN, around 5-6.

It is windy..very windy, and cold here today. Unfortunately, I have to get out..but not at any particular time really...just need to run to Wal-Mart, so I think I'm going to wait...believe it or not, they say we are suppose to have some sunshine today, and maybe warm up a bit. So, I think I'll hold off and see if it gets a little nicer before I take off. At least I don't have much to do.

With it as chilly and cold as it is today...I think tonight would be a good night for some homemade soup...so I think that's what I'll do for supper. Probably potato soup. It's not Lee or Moriah's favorite...lol ....but I LOVE it, so they tolerate it for me. hahahahaha Lee and I love it with clams....New England clam chowder...but, Moriah won't touch it with the clams...lol...so, it's usually just streight potato soup.

Well, here it is, 11am, and I'm still in my robe. I guess I'll head outta here...get dressed, and get my kitchen picked up. I still have dishes piled from supper last night for 9 people. We just pushed the plates aside, and focused most of our attention on the weather chanel, trying to keep up with which storms were headed our way. At least the dishwasher is already empty...so it won't take too long to load it. Maybe it won't take to long to get it cleaned up. Then...I'll probably be back here to check in again. I have some emails to answer...some pictures to send, but, I'll feel better about messin' on the puter, if I get most of my work done first. So...I should be back here before much longer.

You guys have a great day...hope none of this bad weather that hit us is pounding any of you right now....I'll keep you all in my prayers for your safety, and that of those you love.

Take care.....

Much love,
Lev

It's the Weekend

Mother Nature has been showing her stuff her in Missouri this afternoon. We've have been having some severe thunderstorms, and quite a bit of hail...it has started and stopped three different times...alot of it bigger than moth ball size...even a few that were pretty close to golf ball size. Man...it sounded like it was coming through the roof of my house. It has calmed down now a bit, and it's just a steady shower, which is really rather nice...and a distant rumble of thunder every now and then. I love the smell of the air after a rain like this...it is so clean, and clear. I would just love it if it would settle in like this with a soft rain for the rest of the evening. What a relaxing evening at home that would make, with the sound of the rain, and the clean smell drifiting through the open window. It is somewhat comforting, in a way.

Sorry that it's been a few days since I was in. We've been rather busy around here. We finally found out that Lee's mom was coming down on whatever day Lee was going to have off....so, on Wed., Lee found out he was going to have Thurs off, so I called Laura, to let her know, and she said she'd be here the following morning. It is about 1 1/2 hr. drive from the Lake...where she is staying. She's staying with Peggy...Cindy's mom...Peggy is her sister-in-law...Anyway, once I knew she would be here the following day, I finished up on what I had left to do on the house, which really wasn't much. It was about down to the kitchen, which isn't my favorite room, but the kitchen wasn't bad to begin with. I did a little more than just swipe the counters, and took everything off, and made sure everything was clean, got my floors mopped. Laura got here about 11 on Thursday morning. We visited for awhile, then went down the road a couple of miles to a restaurant we love, and had some lunch. We had already made plans to go out to Landon's for supper, so around 3, after Landon got off work, I went to get him so we could go to the store to get the rest of the things we needed for supper. We went on back to Ashland, then Lee, Laura and Moriah came a little later after Lee picked up his check around 5. We had a wonderful dinner, and naturally, Laura thought Mary was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, Lee had to work on Fri. Laura stayed for a few hours, then around noon we both took off and were going to make a stop at the Goodwill on her way out of town. We got lucky, and found a few bargins. She headed back to the lake, and then she'll be back tomorrow to spend probably 3-4 days or so.

I had to get out and run to the bank before they closed at noon, then to the store to get some groceries for our supper tomorrow night. I am going to pick up Landon and the rest of the gang, and they're coming over for dinner tomorrow night when Lee's mom is here. This afternoon, I haven't done much but mess on the puter, and sit and enjoy the refreshing rain that we've been having....well, mind you, we could have done without the hail. But, the rain has renewed the air.

I have also added a couple of new pages to my blog...you can access them though my home page...

I guess I'll head outta here...just wanted to touch base since it had been awhile. I'll be around...keepin' up with all that's going on here. Hope you have a great day!

Monday, and I finally got here

It seems I finally have sometime to get back in and say Hi. Things have been a little crazy, and normal life put on hold for the past few days, or seems that way.

On Wed. evening, the last time I was able to make it in to touch base, we received a call from Lee's mom, to let us know that Lee's cousin Cindy had passed away. This was not a shock...it has been something that has been expected just about anytime. For the past several months, she had been going down hill quickly. She was only 44. But, the lifestyle that she chose, in the long run, helped her to the end of her life, probably much faster than it should have been. Through her lenient lifestyle with drugs, she had contracted both B and C hepitius, and from there, needless to say, it headed down hill. Her liver had failed, her kidneys, and her skeletal structure had began to just deteriorate...the bones were just crumbling. She was in tremendous pain, both physically, and mentally. To the family, we are now just relieved that her suffering is over...regardless of the pain that loosing her caused us. It is truely a blessing that she is now with her heavenly Father, her body perfect, and whole again. Her mother had been caring for her constantly for the past several years, and it was about more than she was beginning to be able to handle, to the point that the entire family was very concerned for her health, knowing that she couldn't keep that pace up long without it making her sick, or killing her. Death is never easy to deal with, regardless of the condidtions, but when the loved one is in such pain, there is some relief knowing that their pain has now ceased. Lee had just come home from work not long before we got the call. One of the first things that he mentioned was that Mike had called...Cindy's brother, to tell Lee that she was dying, and that it wouldn't be long, and said that if we wanted to try and make it down to the lake, we'd better make it fast. Lee had Thursday off, so we had already decided to go down on Thurs. It wasn't long after that, we got the call from his mom telling us she was gone. So, we opted not to go down to the lake on Thurs...since we knew that we'd probably be headed there for some type of memorial service on Friday, or Sat. We found out on Thur. that the service would be on Friday night, so Lee called Rob to let him know that he wouldn't be in on Friday for work.

Landon had to work on Friday, but wanted to go with us, but was able to get off just a tad early so that we could leave. I've told you about the cadillac that my uncle was going to give us...just needed to get to the lake to pick it up. Well...since we knew we were going to be at the lake on Friday, we went ahead and made arrangements with my Uncle to meet him at his condo...where the car was, and pick it up. We left a little early, and knew we should have time to do that first, then meet the family for the memorial service that started at 7. Lee was pretty sure that the problem with the car not starting...or somehow going dead, was just the fact that the battery wasn't any good. So, before leaving town, we purchased a new battery...to the tune of abut $75...already I can tell that cadillac parts are gonna be expensive...hehehehehe couldn't take just a $40 one....of coooooooourse not!!! Anyway... got the battery hooked up to the car, held our breath and turned the key.... it just cranked and cranked and cranked, but didn't fire ...not once....then we notice that the gas gauge says empty...so...into town I run to O' Rilley's...buy a gas can...go to the gas station, get some gas, then back to the condo. That didn't work either...so, we just figure that the one can of gas which was just about 2 1/2 gals. just wasn't enough in a large 20 gal. tank like the caddy has...so....back to the gas station again to get more gas, then back to the condo. I had mentioned to Lee before...that if the tank was empty...maybe the carburator needed to be primed, but, he said it was fuel injected...so much for that thought. lol Well....after the second can of gas...and the car still wouldn't start...guess what Lee decides to do...check under the hood...come to find out....it did have a carburator...so they primed it a bit, and the car started up...even though it did sputter and spurt a bit...after all, it hadn't been started in a couple of yrs or so. So...we got the car going...left my uncle's and head right for the gas station. The car wouldn't hold much gas, so we assumed that the gauge wasn't working properly. It appears to be doing okay now...so Lee seems to think that it might just have been the float that was stuck a bit...after sitting for so long. We also figured out that the power drain on the battery is most likely because the radio is wired wrong. It doesn't turn off when you turn the key off. You have to manuelly turn it off. So...we are making our selves very caucious to be sure and turn the radio off, so that we don't go out to get in it and have a dead battery. Other than that, it appears to be running great.

We called Lee's mom from the station. It was about 6:30, and they were headed for the funeral home for the memorial service, so we told them we'd meet them there. It was a wonderful service, and we enjoyed seeing those we hadn't seen in some time. After the service, the family all went back to Peggy and Lloyd's house for coffee...desserts, and company among family members. It was wonderful being able to spend that time with them. Just wish it hadn't been under such sad conditions.

We didn't get home till about 2am Sat. morning...then goofball me sat up till going on 4 and messed on the puter. Lee had to go into work, but I knew I didn't have to get up, so wasn't too worried about it. It sure is nice having 2 cars again, and Lee can just get up and go to work without me having to take him and pick him up each night. With Lee's mom here from Indiana, we are expecting her to come for a visit...but, as is with Lee's mom, we can't get a definately "yes", or "when" or for "how long"...she might be here. She's a clean stickler, so I knew that I was gonna have to get busy on my house, so most of Saturday was spent catching up on laundry, that was piled to the max!!!! Sunday, Lee had the day off, so I didn't do much else to the house. His mom called last night, but still didn't give us a defiantely time, or if she was even coming at all. But, just incase, I've spent most of the day today cleaning other areas of the house...bathrooms, bedrooms, living room. I made everything but the kitchen, but wasn't too worried about it, since we still haven't heard a word from her today. So, I was pretty sure she wouldn't be showing up today. Lee will probably call her tonight to see if we can get anything out of her different. I won't have much left to do...just clean the kitchen, and put a bit of laundry away. That shouldn't take long. But, who knows if she'll even be here tomorrow...she could not show up till Friday. lol

Well, Lee will be getting off work in about 10 mins, and hopefully headed home not too long after that, so guess I better get off this thing, and get started on putting some supper together. I made a big salad for supper last night, so guess we'll use more of that, and I'm gonna fix a pizza to go with it. That's quick, not to mention it's about all I've got in the house. I'm meat poor right now...lol

I'll be around the web most of the evening, I'm sure, checkin' in to see what you're all up to. I'll see ya round!

Much love,

March already

I just heated up some pizza for lunch, and decided that I'd set down and drop in on ya'll. Gee, I was lookin' back in my blog....I haven't been in to touch base since Saturday, and here it is, Wed already...and March 1, on top of that! Wow...it does actually feel like spring might be here now. Especially here in Missouri. It is suppose to reachh 77 today...how wonderful is that???... and it's probably 75 by now, already, and it isn't even the hottest part of the day yet. But, it is a beautiful, sunny day!!!

So, what's been going on since Saturday. Shoot...I'm not even sure if I remember! lol It seems like we went to Landon's for supper...I can't even remember...lol. Maybe as I write and talk it will come back to me...hehehehehe. I do remember that Lee had to get up early Sunday...his only day to sleep in normally, because Mike was going to be here to pick up the buick and get it out of the driveway before the end of Feb....so that HAD to be done. I don't remember what time I got up on Sun. Seems like it was about 10, and by then, the buick was gone and out of the drive, and Lee sitting in the living room watching TV. It's a big relief to get it outta here, not to mention the fact that hopefully soon, it will be working again. We still need to try and make some time to get to the lake and see what the deal is on the cadillac that we're gonna be getting from my uncle...or so it looks that way. There might be a possibility that we can get there this Sunday..we'll probably just have to see the closer it gets to the weekend. Sunday night, I KNOW we went out to Landon's because he had fixed a big pot roast in the crock pot, with potatoes, onions, and carrots. It was delicious. Oh...and now I remember...Landon, Amanda and the kids came over to our house Saturday night, and Moriah ended up going home with them to spend the night...and play videos...lol..her and Landon are both video nuts. hahahaha

Amanda called me Monday, ...Mary has had a cold...to tell me that they made a dr. appt. for her mon. afternoon...she woke up Monday morning with the cold all settled in her eye...and all gunked up...poor little thing. So, I told them I'd be out as soon as I picked up my paycheck from the CLEANERS. The dr. just said to watch her, make sure it didn't spread, and keep it cleaned with warm water...but don't rub it...lol It is already doing much better!

Oh boy...speaking of CLEANERS. I had to go pick up my check from the cleaners on Mon. Boy, I sure was ready for some money, but I was not looking forward to facing ANY of those people since I'd walked out a week before. So...I at least waited till I was pretty sure the checks had arrived...then I called first to see if they had made it. Mary...not the ole crabby one that I didn't like...but the other one...answered the phone, so that wasn't too bad. She said they were there, I said thanks and that was it. Of course, calling is nothing...I didn't want to have to go there, cause I sure wasn't ready to run into Rex or Mary (the old grumpy one lol). BUT, unfortunately, I had to deal with Rex, long enough for him to hand me my check through the drive through window, and tell me that my vacation pay would be on the next check. I said fine...and drove off. So...now, I won't have to go back there for another 2 weeks...the 13th...then won't have to go back at all!

Landon had Tuesday off....I got this wild hair that I wanted to re-arrange my living room. It's something I do on a pretty regular basis...I just get tired of seeing things the same way all the time. Only problem is, that when you have a small place, there's just not much you can do. We have a waterbed, so rearranging the bedroom is VERY limited...as is the kitchen...so the living room always seems to get it! lol So, after dropping Lee off at work, I headed to Ashland, to get Landon....I knew it would be awhile before we got outta there...and not the 10:30, like we said we'd try for. Needless to say when I got there, just a little after 9...they were all still asleep...I did peak in on Landon once, Amanda had woken up, and she jabbed Landon...lol I had made coffee, and soon Landon came stumbling out of the bedroom. lol I wanted to find a small bookcase...but couldn't spend much, so we hit Goodwill on the way back from Ashland. They didn't have a bookcase, but Landon did find a couple pairs of shoes. From there, we headed downtown to the Salvation Army...we have 2 here in town. I guess the first one we hit, was the lucky one. Before I even got in the doors, I spent some time going through 3 huge baskets full of winter clothing...all 25 cents a piece. They had some beautiful sweaters...I found 4, and Landon found 2 pair of shorts, and 2 pair of swimming trunks....expensive brands too. One of the sweaters that I got...was a Roundtree and Yourke.... I'm sure it was at least $150 sweater, retail.... I paid a quarter...hehehehehehe. Boy, do I love second hand shops! I also found my shelve there for $8. We finally got headed back to my house, but sure didn't get here and get started as soon as I had originally wanted...and definately deeded to get started. My kitchen was torn apart taking the computer all apart, and clearing off the desk. The table was stacked full...and then stacked somemore...things piled all over the floor. The living room looked like a bomb had gone off....piece of furniture in the middle of the floor...rug thrown askew...the couches and chair full of stuff that had come off the shelves, that we had to unload to move...you know how moving furniture is! We were getting very close to finishing up...I remembered looking at the clock, and seeing that it was just a bit after 5....and things "seemed" so close to being done. lol My cell rang, and I hollered for Moriah to get it....and next thing I hear is her saying..." oh my goodness".... and then relaying the message, that Lee wanted to know where I was. I looked up at the clock... 7:10...and he is off at 7:00 I don't know where that two hours went...but it was gone, and I then had to try and rush around, leaving Moriah with a few last things to do. Landon grabbed his stuff...or so he thought, and we headed downtown to get Lee...then would run Landon home. Once at Tucker's...well, or shortly before we got there...Landon remembered he'd left his ciggs at our house..so we brought Lee on home first, then landon and I left to head to Ashland. We made a quick stop at the store, and grabbed a couple of things for supper, then took him home. I told him I was gonna have to cut back on the trips to Ashland for the next couple of days. I need to give myself a break on the gas. So the puter is now in the living room and out of the kitchen. Maybe Lee will feel like I'm spending more time with him this way...lol He always says I spend too much time on this puter...lol...he's probably right...besides, I can see the TV much better from here...my desk sets right next to it. I am capable of messing on the puter, and watching TV at the same time. lol

Well, I got my money order the other day, and got the company called to get myself set up on the data entry business from home. She said it takes about 2-2 1/2 weeks for it get processed, set up, and my material package arrive. So, hopefully, I'll be working by the 20th, or so.

Thanks to Moriah...who also has a blog, I found out the super neat concept of being able to add music videos to my blog! Wow...for me, this is exciting! I have ound soooooo many cool videos...it will be hard to decide which ones to share with you first. You can view the videos on my blog page...
Music, Music, Music I DO hope you'll enjoy!

Well, I would think that I've been talking long enough...this thing sure has become long. But, I guess you're all up to date for now. Hope you all have a great day, and hope it's as beautiful where ever you are, as it is here!

Have a great one!

Much love,
Lev
