I can't believe that Monday is almost over, and my "weekend" about gone. Monday's become my weekend, when I have to work Saturday's. Already I'm thinking that next week be a Sat., Sun., and Mon, off!!!! But, starting tomorrow, it's back to the old grind.
We went out to Landon's yesterday and had a nice swim, then BBQ'ed some chicken, and watched Phantom of the Opera....AGAIN!!!!! It was better the second time around...lol!!!! It has everything you'd ever want in a movie...love, music, drama, suspense...I sure recommend it!!!
It was warm here today, and we had some heavy rains for awhile. Not much sun at all, and very very humid. The rain didn't help that at all. It's a wonderful 72 right now, which should be beautiful...but the humidity, is setting at about 97%. So it is pretty sticky. They had some really bad storms just a couple hours east of us. Several tornados were sighted, but last I heard, none set down. I haven't heard anything new, so I'm hoping they just lifted back up into the clouds.
Moriah spent the night at Landon's last night, so I went out this afternoon and picked her up. I hung out for awhile as we all set and watched the Michael Jackson verdict come in...all of us shocked to death....
I don't really know what to think....I have never been a big Michael Jackson fan...but he has done several songs that I liked, and I do enjoy watching him dance....he is a very talented man.....BUT....he has gotten very very weird the past severeal years...no one can deny that. About all I know is what I've heard on the news...about what all they had found at his ranch...and it seemed pretty incriminating. But...eveidently, not enough to convince a jury. I was just really having a feeling that they were gonna "lay it on him....bit time". I was really surprised when all the verdicts came back NOT GUILTY...and on ALL charges. It's over now, and all I can do is pray the the jury is right in their decision. I hope the man IS innocent, especially at the cost of possibly another child.
I know sooooo many people were bent outta shape when O.J. Simpson was found, Not Guilty! I don't know how many of you watched it on TV...but at the time, I wasn't working, and I watched it EVERY SINGLE DAY that it was on. By the end of the trial, had I been sitting on that jury, with the evidence I heard...I don't think I could have found him guilty. There was just way too much that caused that "reasonable doubt", that the Judge stesses so much to the jurors. So, as I said earlier, we can only pray that justice HAS been done, in either of these cases. I'm sure this will all be a lengthly discussion at work tomorrow.
The whole family's getting together tomorrow night for dinner over at Landon's. It suppose to be nice tomorrow...maybe
we can get some swimming in...
Well, I hope you've all had a good weekend, and hope the first day of your weeks went well! Our Monday is over...hump day (Wednesday) will be arriving soon, and then it will all be downhill again, towards the weekend. Sure hope you have a GREAT week!
