Where'd the week go???
This week, has just went, poooooofffff! I guess it went by so quickly because Christmas is trying to get here, and I'm not ready. lol I try and tell myself, I haven't got much left to do...but I know that when I really set down and think about it, there's probably more than I realize. Hopefully not...the money is slowly dwindeling... I've got Landon and Amanda done...a couple of things for Mary...so there'll probably be alittle more to get there. I got a couple things ea. for Kenny and Gabriel, and still have more to get for them, but at least I know what I'm getting, and don't have to deal with the mall to get it. I AM going to avoid the mall...at all cost. Unfortunately, I have to be on that side of town for work, and when I get off...especially later at night, it has been a nightmare...the traffic that is. Just lines, and lines, trying to get through the lights. I think I can get away with not having to go. Lee...I'm having a hard time finding what I need for him. I know where to get it...but the size is a different matter. His is all sold out. so, I'm hoping they'll be restocked...I'll be going tomorrow to find out. I do have a couple of other things for Lee too. Moriah...shoot...she is such a pain to buy for. She is so pickey when it comes to clothes..which does involve the mall...lol I've gotten her a few smaller things already. Lee was considering making something for her...I'm not sure what, but I don't know if he ever decided for sure or not. So...depending on whether he makes her some jewelry, whether we get anything else. I told him I wanted a new necklace, but...whether that happens or not, I'm not sure. Not that he doesn't want to make it...but...that at this time of year, there isn't always the time, and like I mentioned, things are getting down to the nitty gritty now. Like now, it is 9:40 and night, and I just spoke to Lee about 15 mins. ago....he is STILL at work, and said he'd probably be another hour or so. There are so many orders and so many things that have to be done...and EVERYONE AND THEIR BROTHER, wants it in time for Christmas!!!! So...sometimes, my pieces get put to the back. lol I guess that's okay...I understand.
So, it's an early day tomorrow. Aaron is going out of town, and wants to get started as soon as possible. So, I am going to be at work by 9 tomorrow morning. With him wanting to leave, I'm hoping that he'll be bustin' butt to get things done, so he can get outta there, and hopefully, that will get me outta there at a really early hour...possibly 10:30-11. That would be great. That would give me the rest of the morning and afternoon, to get the rest of my shopping done. I will probably go ahead and do my grocery shopping then too...before going home, and pick up all the stuff I'm going to need for Christmas Eve. Landon, and amanda...if she doesn't have to work...she works Christmas, and the kids, will be coming to our house Christmas Eve, for food and gift exchange. Generally, on christmas Eve, we don't do a big dinner, like we do for Christmas Day, so I'll have cheeses, and sausages, dips, chips, raw veggies, relishes, crackers...just good old munchie food. People can just snack as they wish. Christmas morning, we will do our Christmas here at the house...Lee, Moriah and I, and exchange gifts between us, and landon and Amanda will do the same at their house, with the boys. We will be meeting them around noon at their house, to go to Lebanon, to spend the rest of Christmas Day with my Mom and Dad. We'll be having the big dinner there...turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, greenbean cassarole, candied yams, cranberry salad, hot rolls and pie. Sounds pretty yummy.... We'll exchange gifts with them to, and won't come home till later in the evening. That will be a late night.
Anyway, with shopping done, that will leave me Saturday to get the remainder of presents wrapped, my house cleaned, etc., and start getting ready for Sunday...Christmas Eve. Lee works Saturday, and Sunday. Sunday they're open at noon...and they have been closing at 4, so...that's sorta what I'm planning on. I'll have to see if he has heard anything for sure. I'd like to try and get most of my stuff done on Saturday, cause I'd like for Lee, Moriah, and I to go to church Christmas Eve morning. With Lee having to be at work by noon, we're going to have to find one that will be out by then. There's one just down the road, but they're not out till noon, and by the time we'd get Lee to work...he'd be late. There is a church just a couple of blocks from Tuckers...and I think their services start at 10:30...so we'd be done before noon. It's a church we've been to before, and loved it. It's a black Baptist church. I know there'll be some Christmas music that morning, that will blow me away!!! The music nut that I am...and the Christmas music nut that I am...I love carols...all of them! So, hopefully, we'll be able to arrange it.
Well, Lee's been at work about 13 hrs. now. I hope he gets to a stopping point pretty soon. he's gonna be dead, and then have to get up and do it again tomorrow! This is one crazy time of year for the jewelry business!
I guess I'll head outta here. Oh...wanted to say Thanks to some of you who joined me on my Flixster...some of you were already there...some of you, like me, are new. But, I'm really having fun. It's a great site. Hope you guys enjoy it too.
Take care, and I'll talk to you all soon!
Much love,
Lev
