Nothin' stops a Card's fan

BIG CARD'S FAN

I'm not sure if I mentioned this to any of you last week, but we had a longtime friend fly in from Hawaii...a BIG Cards fan, to attend games 3,4, & 5 of the World Series in St. Louis this past week. Naturally, as a Missourian, I was tickled to death that the Cards are now World Series Champions, but tickled more so for this wonderful lifetime friend, and those that were able to attend with her. I know personally what a big fan she is, so know for a fact what this game meant to her. I just had to share her story with you!

Good Evening, Guys!

Good Evening, Guys!

I hope you've all had a great day! Mine was just pretty good, if I do say so myself. lol Work went pretty good. We got our day done fairly quickly, and I was outta there in about 2 1/2 hrs. I had some shopping to do, to dropped by the New Super Walmart, that just opened, a couple blocks from where I work. I needed some new phones, and a few other things I'd been looking for. I don't really remember what time I got home, but was really enjoying being able to relax, knowing I was home for the day. But...naturally, my bubble was burst when Moriah came home from school, and wanted to go to the mall to buy a jacket. One she'd been wanting. Of course, she didn't have the money for it right now...so it was up to "MOM"...naturally, to say whether or not she was gonna front her the money till payday...lol Of course, she used the excuse that it was cold in the morning, when she went to school, but yet, she wouldn't wear her winter coat. ????? Her thinking, that by the time she came home, it wasn't cold enough for a coat. Am I wrong....or do I remember having to carry my coat home from school, when I was younger???? hehehehe She has to walk 1/2 block from the bus stop to our house. WOW!!! So...I ask her how much this jacket cost, and she tells me $29.?? So...I agree to get back out, (naturally, the mall is clear on the opposite side of town...where I had just come from) and go to the mall...which I almost detest having to go there. Once we arrived, I realize I don't even have $30 on me....so she heads for the store where her jacket is, and I head to my bank...which there is one in the mall, then meet her back at the store. Upon arriving, she's looking around...seeming to stay away from the jackets all together. So, finally I asked her where this jacket was that she could live without. Then I asked again, how much it was...there wasn't much too it, more like a longsleeve teeshirt with a hood that zipped. It wasn't that heavy a jacket. I had no sooner gotten the question out, that Moriah does the stare to the ceiling, rocking back and forth routine, with the "uh o" looking on her face........$45!!!! From $30 to $45...a bit of a diff...then when I looked at the tag again...it was actually $47!!!!!!!!!!! I tried...told her how crazy I thought this was...for no more than she was getting, but, you know how it is when it comes to these teens...and especially girls and their clothing! lol She understands that her paycheck will automatically be $50 short...hehehehe

We had a great talk with Kirk and Tara-Lee after Lee got home. They're doing great. Kirk's been doing some yard work/landscaping in their back yard. They've been there now for over a year, and Kirk still hasn't been able to work, waiting for him temp. citizenship, and work permits to come in. Hopefully, those are due in within the next couple of weeks, and he'll be able to go out, get a job, and start working. He's been bored to death, not being able to work. He's been playing housemum with Eva since they've been there. I do believe I told you all, when we found out, that Tara-Lee is expecting another baby in the spring...late Feb. or beginning of March, is what they've told her. I guess maybe they don't give specific dates down there...not sure.

I have been soooooo far behind with sending you guys picts. Well...guess this email will be full. I suppose I'll just dump them all on you at once. lol There's new pictures of Eva, Mary, Moriah(homecoming dance), Labor Day at Stockton Lake, and pictures of our new home. Hope you all enjoy them....oh, and my mum(the flower that is...not mother)lol I don't think I left anybody/thing out.

Well...guess that about fills ya in on my day. Kinda the norm for me. It's back to work tomorrow. I've had some pretty short weeks here lately. Tues., Wed., Thurs...Aaron's been out of town on Friday for the last several weeks. Then, lots of times it later on Monday before he is back. Yesterday, he didn't get back into town till about 5:30, so I didn't go in at all. We were waiting for Landon and the kids to get here, and I was in the middle of fixing supper. It wouldn't surprise me if he'll be gone again this Friday too...(he's met a girl...). We're leaving Friday and headed for Indiana. We won't be coming home till Monday. It will be late, I'm sure, as usual. Hopefully, this will be our last trip, as far as moving goes. We are at least to where we can see daylight. Not long after we left, Lee's mom was put in the hospital with pnumonia, and was there for almost 2 weeks. She's had a couple of weeks to recoop now, so we should be able to get everything done that is left. Next time we go, maybe it can just be for a leisurely visit. That would be nice!

As always, it's great talking to ya, and hope you have a wonderful eveing, and a great tomorrow!

Much love,
Lev

Good Afternoon!

Good Afternoon, on this rainy, and dreary fall day, or at least that is what it is like here in columbia, in central Missouri. It has been cloudy all day, and the showers started around noon. It isn't raining very much, just enough to barely get you wet if you stand in it. I guess it could be called more of a mist than a rain. It's suppose to continue throughout the day, and evening, but by tomorrow, the sun is suppose to be shinning, with highs in the mid 60's. Sounds like it will be a beautiful fall day.

I have spent most of the day at home. I did run out for just a bit to the bank. They close at noon, so I had to get out before then. I was down to my last few $'s in my pocket. I definately needed some cash before the weekend. I've spent most of the day finishing up on the house, getting it ready for our company, Cheri and Richard. They'll be here around the same time Lee should be getting home. A little after 7. We're gonna take them to a great little Greek family restaurant, just a couple of blocks from our house. They have a wonderful atmosphere, the food is good, and so is the price. George is streight from the old country, and he is a delight everytime you come in. "How ya doin' Darlin' ", he always says to me when we walk in. It is a family run business, and you can tell that he gets alot of enjoyment from seeing families, like ours spend time in his restaurant. He's a great guy! Anyway, I guess I've got most of the housework, and the few other things I wanted to get done, almost finished. I do have one load of laundry to fold and put away, and I still need to run the vacume in the living room. That won't take long. I've been waiting on the clothes...last time I checked, they still weren't dry....but that's been awhile, so something tells me they're probably ready to fold/hang. Since those won't take me more than 15 mins. or so, I guess then, I'm gonna have the rest of the afternoon to relax and be a bit lazy! lol These are the kinds of days when I like to be at home, with the soft rain, windows open with a small breeze, and just feeling good that you have a warm roof over your head, and can feel so warm and safe in your little abode. It's a compfy feeling!

Well, guess I'll head outta here and go finish up my stuff. I did wanna drop in and tell ya'll "HELLO", and to hope that you're having and enjoying a great weekend! I'm sure once my stuff is done, I'll be back on the puter to mess around somemore.

Catch ya'll on the flip side!

Much love,
Lev

Guess who's back?

Well, it is hard to believe, but finally, after one week, I am sitting here, back in my good ole Yahoo Mail. I didn't think my internet co. was ever going to get the problem fixed. It was sure good to be able to get online, have my bookmarks, and be able to go where I wanted to go! We don't even wanna mention the amount of emails that I had!!! lol I did my best to weed through the 200+ that I had, and keep the ones I needed to reply to. I'm sure I probably deleted some that I should have kept. Let's hope not too many, anyway. The bulk mail....that's another story. lol I just clicked 'empty'. There would have been no weeding through that!

At least I was able to keep up a bit through my other email addy. I'm sure everyone would have been wondering where in the world all the forwards went...with me not sending any. lol Guess I was able to give you all a weeks worth of peace anyway. hahaha

The house is slowly coming together. We are about at the garage stage, and I'm sure will be starting on that this weekend. I'm not sure how much we'll get done, but maybe some. Our best buds, cheri and Richard are coming down this weekend for a visit. Of course, they appologized for not being able to help...hehehehe, yeah sure...they were enjoying rides in a streatch Hummer in New Orleans instead. I sure wouldn't be appologizing...hehehe! Sounds like alot more fun than moving! lol

Not much else going on. I'm not sure if I'm working Friday...doesn't sound like it. Aaron says he's pretty sure he's headed out of town, which is just fine with me. It gives me time to get more stuff done here. And there is plenty to do.

Well, just thought I'd drop in and let you know I'm back. As I mentioned...I'm sure you knew that already, as I've already been forwarding some stuff. lol It keeps you on your toes, at least. You never know what I'm going to send. lol

Hope you've all had a great week, and looking forward to the upcoming weekend. I sure am!

Much love,
Lev

Good Morning

Good morning to you all, and I do mean "morning". lol It's 2am, and I really have no business being up this late, although I don't have to get up and go anywhere tomorrow. But, just the fact that I have so much unpacking to do on this house, should be enough. lol But, here I sit, dropping in on you all, and still being thoroughly discusted that I STILL can't get into my yahoo email...or anything else that has to do with Yahoo. Not even yahoo.com. We did find out today from a lady in one of the local stores, that our interenet supplier was having problems. So, maybe that's it. But, it's been two days now, and that seems like an awful long time to take to repair something. But, of course, I do that for a living, so I have no idea. I do think I'll call them tomorrow, and see if I can get some information. I never thought it was the supplier, I didn't have trouble with anything else online, so I just assumed it was yahoo messin' up. Hopefully, the cable people can shed some light on it tomorrow.Other than that. I spent most of the day unpacking stuff in our family room/office, which is really a bedroom...lol It is going to be rather tight, space wise, but it will be a cozy little room when we're done. I don't have too many boxes left inside the house that have to be unpacked, but then, comes the dreaded garage. The good Lord only knows what all is out there! lol Stuff that I know doesn't belong there, for sure. There's shoes, and kitchen stuff, blankets... so one at a time the boxes will come from the garage inside, and each one will have to be gone through. i still have some stuff I'm looking for that I haven't been able to find. And you know how moving is...goodness knows where it is! Lot's of times I'm soooooo sure that I remember exactly what box I put something in...and can tell you other things that were in the box, but for the life of me, can I find it later??? Ha! Maybe....one of these days, everything will be where it belongs...for the most part, anyway. We're not always the best family for putting stuff where it belongs...lolTomorrow, I'm not really sure what I'm going to tackle. The living room, I think. I still have a few boxes down there with odd and end stuff, that goes here and there. So, I need to try and get them emptied, plus they're right in the way when we walk to the kitchen. I still have some food to put away...canned goods, and dry goods, etc. That's something I need to get done to. Maybe I can at least get those two things accomplished. Plus I have to run to the store to get a couple of things, so that will take time too. But, being up as late as I am, getting out of bed tomorrow to get this all done, will be another story. I know I sure should sleep as late as I did today, that's for sure. But, I must say, that I did get quite a bit done, for just having the afternoon, and also went to the store. So...I won't kick myself too hard. I can bust some butt...if I need to! hahahaaha!Well, guess I'll head outta here. I sure hope this yahoo thing gets cleared up fast. Not being able to get into my mail, 360 blog, groups...and everything else to do with yahoo, is really starting to get old!I hope you guys have a fabulous weekend coming up! Relax...spend time with loved ones, and friends, and try no to work too hard! Take careMuch love,Lev

I'm Back

Well, this will be a quick "HI".... I have so much to do! I'm finally sitting here at my computer in our new duplex. We got moved this past weekend, and you know how moving goes...it's been total chaos!!!! It's late, and I haven't stopped all day, and that's the way it's been since Tues. of last week. That's the day we found out we got the duplex to rent, and it hasn't stopped since! Boxes are piled to the ceiling, and it's almost impossible to find ANYTHING!!! I still have a few things at the other place, but I'm hoping that I can finish that up on Fri. and Sat., and then Sunday will be devoted to the garage. We'll have Lee and I and Moriah, plus Landon is going to come over, and with all 4 of us working on it, I think we can get it wrapped up by Sunday evening...or at least by Monday. Pray that we do... I don't want to pay them more than 1/2 a months rent, which gives us to the 15th. But, the rent has to be postmarked by the 10th, to avoid late fees, and I don't want to give them ANY excuse to tack on more. So, I'm really pushing to have everything done, a letter in the mail, telling them I'm GONE....and 1/2 months rent, and keys all included in one envelope...then I NEVER want to have to deal with them again! They have been such pains!!!

We love our new place, and I can slowly see it all coming together everyday, a little bit at a time! I think it will be great when we get it all set up. I'll definately send pictures to share with you all when it gets done....which hopefully can be done as soon as possible. I've been busting butt to try and get it done, staying up till the wee hours of the morning, but love it when I can take a bunch of empty boxes to the garage... I just hate having everything sitting around in boxes, and not knowing where anything is at. It drives me nuts! So...for everyone's, sanity...especially mine , I've got to get this done as quickly as possible...before Lee drives me crazy! (he has been wired, wound, and wrapped, WAY TOO TIGHT, the past few days...stressed out way more than he should be...and we're ALL hearing about it...lol),

Well, guess I better run, and try to get a bit more done before hitting the sack. I really should just go to bed now, considering it's almost 1:30 am, but I'll probably putz around a bit more, but really don't think it's gonna be for very long... I feel like I've been hit my a Mac truck...or, is it pulled through a knothole backwards, or maybe run over by a train... I'm just dead tired, in other words... lol

It is good to be back online...I sure missed you guys. Hope to talk to you all soon! Take care!

Much love,
Lev
