Hello

Hello Everyone,

How have you all been doing over the past few days? It has been awhile since I've been able to come in and chat with you all, since we were gone over the last weekend.

We left Columbia around 5:30 on Saturday, and arrived in Indianapolis around 2 am Sunday morning. With us arriving so late, we slept in some on Sunday, and unfortunately didn't get started over at Lee's mom's apartment until around 3 in the afternoon. We really should have gotten started before then. But, we were still able to get some work done, or at least started to make a dent in it. It is literally stacked to the celling with boxes in her bedroom.

Lee's Aunt Sue made us a wonderful dinner for Sunday evening. We had meatloaf and mashed potatos, salad, and fresh green beans from the garden that were oooooooo, so yummy! There's nothing like fresh beans....well, actually, tomatoes out of the garden are the bomb!!!!

Monday, we were able to get started alot earlier and got quite a bit accomplished. Unfortunately, we were trying to cram several days work into two. So....that being said, Lee will be taking this Saturday off....so I don't have to take a day off again on Monday, and we will be leaving for Indianapolis again, on Friday evening, and coming back on Sunday. I am hoping that we're going to be able to get it almost done this time...or at least down to the bare minimum, so Laura will be able to finish it by herself. I guess we'll just have to see how it goes.

We got home Monday/Tues. about 2:15 am, then both Lee and I had to get up and go to work.

On the way down, we stopped to get gas and eat in Pocohontas, IL. There is a little place there with fabulous food, and we often stop there. But, this time, when we got gas, there was a diner/grill at the station, and when I went in to pay for our gas, it smelled FABULOUS!!! So, we opted to try this little place, instead of where we had originally planned on going. We weren't disappointed. The food was great...homemade onion rings...deli meats, it was good. We will definatley be stopping there again! On the way back, we stopped and ate dinner in Marshall, IL, at Jerry's....a great place, all decorated in 50's/60's memorabelia(?). Lee and I both had a breakfast that was "to die for"....bacon, eggs, sausage, hasbrowns, biscuits with sausage gravy....yum, yum. We have decided that it will be one of our regulars when making trips to Indiana. My boss Aaron is from Illinois, and he told me that there is a great place in Hearland , where his brother lives. I'm gonna have to ask him again, ....I forgot what the place was called, but he said they've eaten there lots of times, and it is really good. He said they also had great homemade pies. I wanna say it was called "Clearwater"...or something like that. Anyone from that area of Illinois know what place I'm talking about?

Well, with Monday off, Tuesday was absolute chaos for me at work! Boy, was it backed up. I was able to finally get out of there...head for the postoffice, and left the p.o. around 5:30. I came on home, and Landon, Moriah, and Dean....a friend of Landon's, picked Lee up at work around 7 when he got off(Landon had our car for the weekend), and then they headed here. It has been so hot a person doesn't wanna cook, so I just fixed some tunasalad, and we had some chips and fruit. I ran them home around 11.

The weather has just about been unbearable, hasn't it? I guess it has been like this all over the nation. I know here in Missouri, and last weekend in Indiana, we had temps around 95-98, with the heat index ranging from 102-105. You can't even walk out the door without breaking into instant sweat....looking like you've just walked out of the shower! lol Wringin' wet!
I checked our weather for this weekend, and it looks like we might get a bit of a break...highs in the mid 80's. Maybe it won't make all this moving and loading and unpacking stuff so unbearable, as it was last weekend in Indiana.

Moriah works Friday, so tomorrow night, we're going to go to Landon's for supper,...Moriah will stay, and we will leave our other car for Landon, like we did last weekend. I have to work Friday. I'm not sure if Lee is going to be able to get off a little early or not. Hopefully, I shouldn't have a problem getting out of Aaron's at a decent time, then will have to come home, finish packing, loading the car, and will then pick up Lee, and we'll head out from there. We'll probably get over into Illinois, probably Pocohontas, before we stop for supper, like we did last weekend. The only question will be, do we eat at the Powhatan...or, do we go back to the new place at the gas station, we found on our last trip? They're both REALLY good....it will be a tough decision!

Hope you have all been enjoying the book. I' m going to try and get a couple more chapters added tonight, since it has been awhile, and I'll probably try to get a couple more added before we leave again for the weekend. I'll let you know when I get them added.

Well, guess I'm writing an epic here, so should probably take off for now. Hope you've had a great day, and have a wonderful and relaxing evening ahead. I'll talk to ya soon!

Much love,
Lev
