A wild and crazy week!

I have been trying to get in here for the past several days. Everytime I'd tell myself I was going to post, it seemed that something else always came up, or I'd get stuck doing something that took longer than planned. It has just been so nuts around here it seems. I can't even begin to mention all the stuff that's been going on the past few days, and this thing would definately be an epic, if I were able to remember them all. lol

We did go to Lebanon on Sunday/Father's Day, to see my Dad...and Mom, of course. Moriah and landon both had to work Sunday morning, so we decided to go to lebanon earlier than usual, so that we could leave earlier and be back at Landon's at a decent hour, so Lee could spend part of his Father's Day, with landon and MOriah. We went up pretty early..leaving our house around 7, which put us into Lebanon just before church was to start. We went to Mom and Dad's first, so Lee could help get dad loaded into the car, then we headed for church. There was a special service...the Church of God State Youth Choir. They performed beautifully, and we really enjoyed hearing them. After church was a potluck dinner. I LOVE these, cause you know there is ALWAYS going to be GOOD FOOD THERE!!!!! It was delicious, as I imagined, and I ate way too much as usual. We had a great time spending the a couple more hours with Mom and Dad when we got back to the house, and finally headed for home about 4. We got back to Landon's, and had a cookout...we did chicken, but fixed Lee a steak for his special "father's day" dinner. WE enjoyed spending the eving with him and the grandkids, as we always do.

Kenny and Gabriel spent the night with us last night, so after I got off work...went and got Lee's check, stopped to fill the car with gas, I then headed back to the house to pick the boys up, and take them back to ashland. We were going to go out to Landon's for supper, with me getting done so late, we opted to do it tomorrow night instead...we have to take Moriah out there anyway, since she works on Sat. and Sun. The boys and I left the house...it was after 6, but not sure what time. I stopped at Micky D's to get the boys a happy meal....landon didn't want Mc Donald's...so i stopped at the grocery store, and picked him up a chicken dinner from the deli. I hung out at Landon's for a bit, not long, probably just 15 mins. or so, then it was back to the grocery store, again, so I could pick up the few things that I needed for dinner. Lee "informed" me that he wanted to eat at home...after the day I'd had, and it being payday, I was hoping to just meet him somewhere for supper, but...instead, at around 7 or a little after, I left Landon's...went to the store..which is not more than 1/4 mile from his house. Then it dawned on me that we had left the diaper bag in the car, so when I got done with shopping, it was back to Landon's to drop off the diaper bag, then fianlly head home. It was after 8 when I got home, and then had to start cooking supper. We finally ate a little before 9...not at all what I'd call a relaxing evening at home.

Today was a pretty crazy day at work. I overslept longer than usual, and didn't get to work till 10:45. The door was open when I got to Aarons...and got started doing the normal routine things I do when I first get there...get dishes into the dishwasher...got the living room picked up...the fish fed, and then outside to water the flowers. While I was outside, Aaron came to the door and showed me a list of stuff he wanted from the store...I said okay...then finished what I was doing. I went back inside, did a couple more things, and then preceeded to wait. Aaron hadn't left any money out for me, so I could go ahead and go to the store. I waited and waited...his bedroom door still shut. I really wasn't sure what he was doing...considering that he'd already been downstairs and talked to me...it was almost 1:00, before he finally came downstairs, realizing that he hadn't left me any money, and then informing me that he had fallen back to sleep...and he had already turned off his alarm. Well...I finally headed for the store...and it was about 2:30 by the time I got back and got the groceries unloaded and put away. Then...it was time to find the books that needed to be shipped out today...and I had passed the postman on my way to the store, so I knew that meant I'd be draggin' all those packages to the postoffice, once I was able to leave. While Aaron was getting the books ready to package up for shipping, I started working on the 16 or so boxes of books that had to be unpacked. I got all of them done except about 3, then had to go get books packaged, as it was now about 4:30, and I was wanting to be gone, and have Lee's check picked up by then. But, needless to say, by the time we got done with those, I finally was able to leave around 5...then it was staight to the postoffice with two cartons full of books for mailing.

I sure hope tomorrow isn't quite as nuts as today was, and hope the evening at Landon's is a bit more relaxing that the first part of tonight was. I'm starting to unwind a bit, and feeling a whole lot less tense, and stressed than I was when I got home. You'd thought I was PMS'ing...the way I was acting. I was just so discusted that the day had been so long, and it was so late before even being able to start on supper. Just a very loooooong day.

Well...guess I'll head out of here...been talking your ears off long enough, I suppose. Hope you have all had a wonderful day, and a great tomorrow.

Much love,
Lev

New video for the 2nd time

I am soooooooooo discusted! Why my Jon Secada video isn't working, I DO NOT know. It would work for me one time, then the next it wouldn't. I will definately be keeping my eye open for other sources to this song..."Mental Image", or do a search on your own. His voice is sooooo worth the effort, and is quite phenomonimal! (? did I spell that right? hehehehehe)

So...I have added another of his videos, from another source. Let's hope this one works all the time. This follows a very close 2nd to Mental Picture, or does with me anyway. This is a FABULOUS video and song!

Enjoy!
Much love,
Lev

Soooo glad Monday's over!!!

It's late here, about 12:30...well, it's definatley been later than this before when I've written. lol But, it's been a crazy day, so guess I'm just extra bushed, or something. lol As tired as I am, I feel like it should be 3.

If there are any mechanics out there that read this....PLEASE...what would cause 3 harmonic balancers to break, not more than 2-4 weeks after they're installed? Something has to be causing this!!! We REALLY need some help on this. They are not easy, or inexpensive to replace, as any mechanic will know. Any suggestions would sure help!!!! You can email me...link is on my blog page. THANKS, THANKS, THANKS, in advance!

My boss left town Fri. so I didn't work. he was gone for the weekend. He called this morning a little after 9, to let me know he wouldn't be back home until around 1. At the time, I thought that was pretty cool. I wasn't really relishing the thought of having to go to work. Lee has Mondays off, and I just hate to have to go when he's here. it would be nice to be able to spend the day with him. So...as it was, we were able to spend our morning together. I called Aaron about 12:30, to see if he still planned on being back around 1. he said to make it 1:15 or 1:30 if I wanted...he was still about 25 miles from Columbia. Well, like I said, with Lee here, I hated to leave, and piddled around till 1:30 before I left. Then I was starving to death, so decided to run through Micky D's for a burger, and finally got to Aaron's around 1:50. I didn't even begin to realize what was in store for me. On top of ALL the books that had to be packaged and shipped...which I'm going to guess was about 30...with about 4 boxes, if I remember right, we started emptying out the front room of books that were in stacks on the floor, and transporting them upstairs on onto shelves. Each stack had to be counted, each book in each stack had to be accounted for, then new notes made as to which stack is now on what shelf. I've worked for Aaron for over 2 months, and this is the first time I've seen the floor in the front room...hehehehehe. Well, as some of you know, about 21/2 yrs. ago, I fell and broke my hip, so you can imagine what my leg feels like tonight after making at least 12 trips up and down the steps...that's how many stack I had, not to mention that some of the stacks took more than one trip, on top of the fact that when you're carring that many books...they feel like BRICKS!!!! My arms, and ESPECIALLY my leg, is killin' me! He had me start on sorting through some CD's today, so I am hoping that tomorrow can be spent sitting on the floor sorting those, and NOT running back and forth up and down the stairs. My leg needs a break. Well...needless to say, with us not getting started until 2, and him having me do all this extra stuff, I finally left a little before 7, in hopes that I could get to the post office with the 30+ packages I had, that had to be mailed. I finally got home around 7:30.

I hadn't been home long, than Moriah was ready to leave. She had called me earlier and said she was going to spend the night with a friend. Naturally....I had to take her. So, I barely got home, threw some supper on the stove to heat, and then ran her to Allison's. She lives out in the country, so it was about 30 mins before I got back. We finally got done with supper a little before 9. I felt like my entire evening was gone. I HATE that!

Well, guess I'll head outta here. Wanted to say HI, and let you all know what's been going on.

Hope you are all doing great!

Lev

New Video

Well, here I am again. Dropping in this time to let you know that there is a new video added to my music page in my blog. I remember the first time I saw this man perform, and I sat with mouth open and astonished by his voice. It has captivated me every since. I have found several of his videos, and will share them all with you over the new few weeks....they are ALL of them, fabulous, but, this one that I post first, is by far my favorite of them all. I do hope you enjoy them all.

We're having a little spring storm come through....we've had some pretty heavy rain so far, and even a little spurt of hail, although, not big at all....a little smaller than a moth ball. But, it has quit the hail now, so let's hope it stays that way. The rain we can use, and right now, it is just a slow steady ...ground soaking rain, which is what we need, and my plants need as well. I think they're going to get it tonight. My cable is cutting in and out...let's hope I don't loose that, cause with that, also goes my internet. It sounds like maybe the worst part is past us. I'm gonna give my weather a look and see.

Enjoy the music!!!

Much love,

Lev

Just dropping in!

Hello, on this Saturday afternoon. How have you all been?

I did keep myself rather busy yesterday, cleaning, and doing some re-arranging, re-decorating in by bedroom. As I told you in my last update, we came back with a car load of stuff that we got from Lee's mom. I had a pair of curtains, well, actually, a valance, that Lee liked, and wanted put in our bedroom. It didn't really "go" with the room/theme that we had in our room....as it is anyway, so I wanted to try and tie the two together. With the different curtains, I had to change bedspreads. I think I succeeded...although, I'm not really sure Lee likes it....lol...but I'm sure that's the way it will stay, and we'll just make do.

I finally got all the clean clothes from our trip unpacked, and quite a bit of laundry done, which is the only thing I have had a chance to get done yet. But, my livingroom is now back in order...cleaned, and a the furniture re-arranged a bit. Lee and i both like it better this way.

Being gone for two days, Landon was in charge of getting back to our house while we were gone, to take care of the animals...feed the dog, cat , fish....let the dog out, and so forth. Our poor Bogey...our dog, he is quite old, 11, and doesn't hold his stuff quite as well as he use to, so we opted to keep him in the garage while we were gone, since landon would only be able to get here once a day. We knew we'd end up with a mess in the garage when we got back, BUT, figured that was better than a big mess in the house. Well....needless to say, I have been putting it off, and telling myself I HAD to get it cleaned up. I didn't get it done yesterday, as I had planned, so I told myself that today, I WAS going to get that garage done! I finally just made myself get up and do it...knowing that the sooner I started, the sooner it would be done, and I could get back here. Plus, I knew I'd feel better once it was done, and knowing that I don't have to worry about it anymore. So...I'm happy to say that I got it done.

Moriah is working this weekend. We took her out to landon's last night, and had supper. I guess it was about 11:30 when we got home...not super late. Of course, as usual, I wanted to spend some time on the puter....we watched some TV, and around 12:30 or so, Lee headed to bed. I had a few things I wanted to do, and then messed with a problem I've been having with my puter....and needless to say, time got away from me, and it was almost 3 before I finally got to bed. I suppose I wasn't too worried about it, since I didn't have to get up today and go to work.

I'm including some new pictures. I meant to try and get some of these added last week, and never got around to it, and just a couple from our trip to Indiana....Laura's dog, Ziggie...the weenie dog, and Chris's dog, Molly...the basset. these two were sooooooo funny together, and kept us all entertained just watching them. what a trip!!!! My intent was to get more than that...but seemed all our time was spent moving...and trying to catch up on sleep...lol There's a couple pictures of "Buddy"...my bosses King Edward Spaniel....he is such a sweetheart! Pictures of my flowers....Cindy...forward the pictures of the panseys to Chris...I don't have her email...can ya send it to me...a picture of the palm tree that I replanted last week, that I told you all about....And some pictures of an awesome sky...taken from my house, as a storm was approaching and the best for last....the grandbabies!!!!

Well, I suppose I'll head outta here. I could fold laundry...and do a bit of work in the kitchen, but you know....I think I'm just gonna say "forget it", and relax the rest of the afternoon. I hope you all have a wonderful afternoon as well...and a great evening.

Much love,
Lev

Sleep When the Wind Blows

Years ago, a farmer owned land along the Atlantic seacoast. Heconstantly advertised for hired hands. Most people were reluctant towork on farms along the Atlantic. They dreaded the awful storms thatraged across the Atlantic, wreaking havoc on the buildings and crops. As the farmer interviewed applicants for the job, he received asteady stream of refusals. Finally, a short, thin man, well past middle age, approached thefarmer. "Are you a good farm hand?" the farmer asked him.Well, I can sleep when the wind blows," answered the little man.Although puzzled by this answer, the farmer, desperate for help, hiredhim. The little man worked well around the farm, busy from dawn todusk, and the farmer felt satisfied with the man's work. Then one night the wind howled loudly in from offshore. Jumping outof bed, the farmer grabbed a lantern and rushed next door to the hiredhand's sleeping quarters. He shook the little man and yelled, "Get up!A storm is coming! Tie things down before they blow away!"The little man rolled over in bed and said firmly, "No sir. I toldyou, I can sleep when the wind blows."Enraged by the response, the farmer was tempted to fire him on thespot. Instead, he hurried outside to prepare for the storm. To his amazement, he discovered that all of the haystacks had beencovered with tarpaulins. The cows were in the barn, the chickens werein the coops, and the doors were barred. The shutters were tightlysecured. Everything was tied down.Nothing could blow away. The farmer then understood what his hiredhand meant, so he returned to his bed to also sleep while the wind blew. When you're prepared, spiritually, mentally, and physically, you havenothing to fear. Can you sleep when the wind blows through your life? The hired hand in the story was able to sleep because he had securedthe farm against the storm. We secure ourselves against the storms of life by grounding ourselvesin the Word of God. We don't need to understand, we just need to holdHis hand to have peace in the middle of storms.
A friend of mine sent this to me today, and I enjoyed it so much, thatI wanted to sent it to you.I hope you enjoy your day and you sleep well.

Finally here after our trip

Since it's after midnight, and now Friday, I guess that makes it officially over a week since I was in to say "HI". Well, I guess I did forget that I dropped in for a quick hello to you all from Indiana, but here we have been back for 3 days, and I'm just now getting the chance to touch base with you.

We had a wonderful trip. We arrived in Indy at about 5 am on Saturday morning, and naturally, regardless of time, spent some time visiting with Lee's mom Laura and cousin Chris. We finally went to bed around 6. The sun was coming up already. The drive down was beautiful. Our air conditioning isn't working, but since we were driving at night, we drove with windows down, and enjoyed the nice spring breeze, and the smell that the farmlands left in the air. It smelled so wonderfully clean. But we were soon faced with the hustle and bustle of the big city when we rolled into Indy.

We helped laura do some moving. She has to be out of the place she's in now by the end of June. We got quite a bit done. We've talked about trying to go back another weekend, but I'm not sure how we'll do that. I can't take another day off. Aaron is going to be gone tomorrow, and i was gone on Monday, so this made for a short week as far as pay goes. I can't ask for two monday's off in a row. Then, the following weekend is Father's Day, and I'd really like to spend it with my Dad, and have Landon be able to spend it with Lee...and the Grandkids with their Papa...not stuck in Indiana. Then, there's only one weekend left in June, so I'm just not sure if it's going to be possible to get back up there. There really wasn't much left to do...couch, bed, a couple of dressers, and kitchen table...the rest will just be boxes...and clothes. We were able to get some of the heaviest stuff out this past weekend.

So...since it was late when we arrived home on Monday...or Tues., technically...we got home a little after midnight, we decided not to go pick up Moriah from Landon's. Besides...we wouldn't have had any room for her. With Laura moving, she was getting rid of alot of things. I ended up with a bunch of stuff! She just recently got a new laptop, so she gave her old pc to Moriah....including printer, mic, camera...plus a really nice desk. Since we weren't able to take a trailer, we had to take the desk apart, to haul them back in the car, as well as two shelves that we took for landon. There were 2 shelves, with 6 shelves per unit. Then I got a new coffee pot...and some new silverware. They're got really nice. Got some new towels, and curtains...and more linens to come later. I got a few mugs, some very cool martini glasses...which I don't drink...but they're cool...along with some small nick nac...candles...just a bit of everything. Needless to say, the car was packed! In fact...I got stuck driving all the way home, because the back seat was so full that Lee couldn't scoot the seat back, and he finds it rather difficult to drive with his knees cramed against the dash board, and his chest about 3 inches from the sterring wheel....lol He tried..but he did look rather funny, just trying to get in the car, much less be able to set in the seat. hahahahaha

I picked Moriah up Tuesday afternoon, after I got off work, and then we just came home...I was SOOOOOOOOOO pooped! We did get out long enough to meet Lee at Pizza Hut...it's on him way home, and not far from our house. I sure didn't feel like cooking, not to mention that I didn't have any food in the house after being gone for 4 days...still don't have much. lol

Landon and the kids came over Wednesday night...amanda had to work, we did supper, and help Moriah some with setting up her computer, and trying to figure out what we're going to need ot connect her to the internet. Unfortunately, the Buick, which was working so great, has now quite...again...for the 3rd time!!!!! MAN...I sure wish I knew what was causing those harmonic ballencers to go out. Someone's got to be able to tell us something. Something HAS to be causing it. Anyway, so without the buick working, I had to take Landon back home, and what did we do.....???? It was so late, and we were all so tired, that we got all the way back to landon's and realized that we hadn't gotten the diaper bag. At one time I even asked landon if he h ad remembered to get the formula...which he said he had. So...there's no formula. But...they had milk, which would sure do...and plenty of diapers, so when i got off work today I took the diaper bag back out to Landon's Mary was chowin' down on some of that good old 2% when I got there. lol

So, finally tonight, after supper, I got a bit of a second wind, and started some laundry. I've gotten quite a bit done, plus the laundry room picked up. That is just that much less that I have to do tomorrow. I don't have to work, but I have to do some work here! Just this evening I finally got the rest of our clothes out of our bags, and stuff unpacked. I still have a duffle bag of shoes sitting in my livingroom that hasn't been unpacked yet. So, I've already told Moriah not to make any plans...she's gonna help me clean, and we're going to get this done before we meet Lee a little after 7, and head for Ashland. We're going to do supper, and drop off Moriah...she works over the weekend.

Well, it's all I can do to keep my eyes open. Goodness...it's almost 2. Can't believe I've been talking that long! lol Of course. I didn't spend al that time typing...was checking on laundry and running back and forth.

So, I'm going to close. I hope you had a wonderful day, and I hope that you enjoy the up and coming weekend. Take care, and I'll talk to you soon!

Much love,
Lev

Takin' a break from packing

I got home, I believe it was, about 2 from work, sat down and glanced at what emails had come in, then got right up and preceeded to get busy on what I knew HAD to be done. I had done NO packing at all for this 4 day trip, that we are leaving on tomorrow. So....what time I had this afternoon, and what time I'll have tomorrow, (luckily I don't have to work...Aaron is going out of town for the weekend too), I knew there was alot to do in a short amount of time. I wanted to try and get as much done today as I could, because tomorrow I have some running around town to do...stuff that has to be done before leaving for 4 days, so I need time to try and do that, and won't be able to spend alot of time packing. Tomorrow, will just be putting together last minute stuff. it never fails, as hard as I try, there seems to ALWAYS be something that we go off and forget. It seems crazy that 2 people need SO much to be gone for such a short time. But...just as sure as I don't take something, we'll need it. I think I'm about down to the end of what I can do tonight...I'm waiting on one last load of clothes...jeans to dry, and can get them added to our bags. I've got stuff stacked all over my bed in piles...sorted out, ready to put into the bags, and soon as I can get it all in front of me, and see what all I need. lol This was my first chance to sit down since I got home.

Kenny and Gabriel are with Tom and Kristine, and Gwen, Amanda's mom and dad and sisiter. They went to the St. Louis Zoo today. I know that those 2 boys will plum flat wear out, those 3 adults!!! i sure wish I had the energy that they do. They are going to call my cell when they get back into town, and I will meet them to pick up the boys. We're really not sure what time they plan on being back. We're kinda guessing around 6...but it is really nothing more than a guess. I'm hoping that they call sometime before I will meet Lee to go to Landon's, and that will be a little after 7. Hopefully, we're not going to get 1/2 way to Ashland, then get the call, and have to turn around and go back. Unfortunately, I don't have anyway to get ahold of them, to call and check on the possible time. So...we're just gonna have to play that by ear and take it as it comes.

I think Lee was going to say something to Rob today about getting off a little early tomorrow, but I really don't have any idea what time he is going to ask to leave. I called him when I got off work, and we discussed it a bit, then got sidetracked onto a different subject, and we never did get back to what time we wanted to leave. I remember telling him that if we left around 3, that would put us into St. Louis during rush hour traffic...and that's about all the farther we got. So...I don't even know if he said anything to Rob or not, or if just tell him tomorrow. I'm sure we'll not get out of here by 3...maybe not even by 4, but...if we can be on the road by 5, I'll not feel too bad....that's at least better than after 7. If we can leave by 5, we should be getting into Lee's mom's around midnight....hopefully! I'm not sure if I'll have the chance to get to a puter or not. We're bring back Laura's old one , she's giving it to moriah, and she's got a new laptop. I don't know that she'll let me mess with it. lol She might. We're going to try and get to Indianapolis too...whichisn't far away, and see Lee's cousin cindy. She does have a puter, and I know she'll let me use hers. So...maybe I can get on at least once while I'm gone. I'm still going to have to set my groups to no mail, just incase....or I will be overun. My bulk mail will be anyway, but i don't want my groups bouncing. Moriah will be at landon's, and she knows my password, so if nothing else, I'll call her and have her go in and delete some of my emails for me, if need be.

Yesterday was Kirk's birthday. It's so hard to believe that he is 29. Like all my other kids, it seems like they should all still be little ones crawling on the floor, and learning to pull up to the chair, or couch. Whewwwwwww....
Shocked where does time go...and why does it go by so quickly?

It has been black, cloudy and rainy here most of the day..but warm and humid. The sky is still scattered with some large dark storm clouds, but it isn't raining anymore, and the sun is doing it best to break through the clouds, as the living room and kitchen will light up as it comes through the west window and door. I pluggin' for the sun!!!! We've had rain for 2 days.

Well, my dryer is gonna shut off before too much longer, and I need to try and get the rest of the clothes packed. I may have to leave in the middle of it and go pick up kenny and Gabriel. It will just depend what time, whether we come back here for awhile, or go right to pick up Lee.

We'll be back later tonight...not really sure what time, but I'll check in, you can bet on that, and see what you've all been doing through out your day. I hope it was a GREAT one!

Much love,
Lev
