How's your Tuesday?
Well, as Tuesdays go, I suppose this has been a good one. lol Work went well, and I got quite a bit accomplished today, and think that tomorrow should go pretty good too. It is really amazing what I've gotten done in the past couple of days, and how many books I've been able to go through and catorgorize. We are in desperate need of shelf space. We do have one that just needs to be put together. Maybe in the next couple of days, I can get him to put it together, or I could, I'm sure. One more shelf could eliminate a WHOLE lot of books off the floor.
It definately wasn't a "ordinary" Tues. I hadn't heard anything until this morning, on the news, but found out then that we/Columbia/Ashland/Missouri/Jeff City,...were going to be visited by Pres. Bush today. He arrived at the Columbia airport...which is just 4 miles from where Landon lives, in Ashland, around 11a.m this morning, then went to Jeff City..our state Capital, for some appearances there, and then left the airport around 2:00. He arrived in Air Force 1...which Landon said he could DEFINATELY hear, going over his house...lol, and Kenny was really excited, as they let all the kids at school go outside so they could watch the Presidents plane flying over the school. Kenny thought that was REALLY neat! There are some links below, to an article, and slide show. Landon was freakin' out...lol He had to get home from work so that Amanda could go to work, and just before it was time for him to leave, a 1/2 a gillion cops/sheriff/highway patrol all show up at Fast Lane/Mc Donald's...they're side by side, and him driving a car with expired license plate. They all met at that location as it is directly at the exit to Ashland, and they would soon be stopping all North and South bound traffic on 63, while the presidential motorcade came through Ashland from Jeff City, and on it's way back to the airport. I went to Ashland when I got off work, forgetting that Bush was to be in town, and was VERY puzzeled, when I passed 24 law enforcement vehicles...Boone Country Sheriff, Columbia Police, and MO Highway patrol...all headed back into Columbia, within about a 2 mile section of highway... and couldn't figure out WHAT was going on, when it finally dawned on me, and I remember Bush was to be here....that definately explained all the law enforcement.

I have to go to Ashland tomorrow when I get off work. Mary has a drs. appt. at 3. Amanda has to work, so landon and the kids are going to come over to our house when Mary's appt. is over, and spend the evening with us. I'm sure we'll make some sort of plans for within the next couple of days..but just not sure when.
Well, guess that's about all that's going on...nothing much, really, other than our Presidential visit...lol. I guess it was just about a yr. ago, that I got to see his motorcade come through columbia the first time. His motorcade has NO regard for the speed limit...I can tell ya that much...lol
Hope you al lhad a good day...hope you have a wonderful tomorrow, as well!
Take care....
Much love,
Lev
