Hump day...my favorite

Good morning, on this wonderful "hump day". You all know how I like hump days...just means that my weekend is getting closer.

I spent the entire day yesterday running around. By close to 11 last night, I was at the point where I didn't think I'd ever get back home,...only being home through the day for just a couple of hours...from about 5 till a little before 7.

I got Amanda and Moriah dropped off at school yesterday morning. Hickman is having finals this week, and classes aren't starting till 9...and then they're out at 12:30. After dropping them off...we headed for Tucker's where I dropped Lee off, and then headed back home. I was here for about an hour. Long enough to mess on the puter a bit...get dressed, and then leave here around 10:15 to head to Ashland to pick up Amanda and take her to her drs. appt. Not too long before I was getting ready to leave, Landon called...I assumed he was on his break, as he sometimes comes home, but he called to tell me that the principle had brought Kenny home from school,...the nurse thinking he had strep throat. So...Amanda called Micky D's to let Landon know what was going on. His mgr....with them not being very busy, told Landon that if he wanted, he could go ahead and go home, take the rest of the day off, and get Kenny in to see a dr. The school had already told Amanda that they have about 30 cases of strep in the school, and that Kenny wouldn't be allowed back until he had seen a dr., and had been on medication for 24 hrs....I guess, and it is understandable, they have to do it this way,...making sure these kids are getting treated, or this stuff will just be passed back and forth all over the school, and then back to those who have had it and are over it. It will be a vicious cycle, if it isn't stopped.

So, after Amanda got done with her dr. appt., we took Kenny to urgent care to be seen by a dr. They took a culture, and yes...he does have strep....on top of that, he's broke out all over his torso, and groin area, with a bright red rash....drs. said it's what they call a "strep rash"...guess the strep can literally appear in the form of a rash too. Kenny was running a bit of a temp sunday night, when they were here, but we had to trouble getting it down, and keeping it down...we just figured it was some sorta 24 hr. bug...but the dr. said, that was the onset of the strep beginning....and his body was trying to fight it off. The drs. put him on an antibiotic. He was to stay at home today, but can return to school tomorrow. The contagious part of it will be over by then.

All is going good with Amanda...her dr. is still saying that she doesn't think Amanda will make it to her due date on the 28th. So, it looks like Mary is possibly going to be here before too much longer. We're all exicted about it, and all Landon can say is..."I just want her to be here". He was the same way with Gabriel...just so excited to finally have her here, after waiting for her for so long.

By the time Amanda did her dr....Kenny's dr...then had to go drop off Kenny's prescription to be filled, and it wouldn't be ready till about 4, went to Wal Mart to pick up some stuff...Landon and I both, and back to the pharmacy to pick up Kenny's medicine, it was close to 5. We/I, didn't really think we'd make any plans for supper...I had really planned on being back home before then, but since the entire day was gone by now, we decided we'd just come back to the house, wait for Lee to get off at 7, then run on out to landon's and grab a bite of supper. We had already decided that we wouldn't make a late evening of it...after Lee had worked all day, and had to work today, and me running all day...we were both tired, so left Landon's a little after 10, after eating, and watching Law and Order SVU. We got home just around 10:30 or just a little after. Amanda spent the night with Moriah...and we were up again this morning, dropping them off at the school just before 9...and then took Lee on to work thismorning.

I've got to work today...1, as usual. Then, will have Thurs. and Fri. off, having to go back to work on Sat. At least I don't have to be there at 7a.m., like I did last Sat.

I held my breath most of the day yesterday...lol. We had been forcasted to get 3-5 in. of snow beginning Tues. morning early...and not suppose to stop till evening...well...we woke up Tues. with no snow...it had just spent the time raining...very cold and wet...but yet all day yesterday, it looked as though it could cut loose. By news time last night...they said that the percipitation had passed us by...so I was relieved that we weren't going to be getting any snow....Imagine my amazement, when Lee walked past the kitchen window about 11:30 last night, after we got home, and announced..."well, look at it snow!" I'll be, if we didn't have about an inch already. This wasn't more than an hour or so after we got back from Landon's. Boy...was I glad that we hadn't decided to stay later, and would have ended up driving in that mess. So, I immediately got online to check the weather...Lee flipped the tv over to the weather channel, and we couldn't believe what we were hearing..... forcast for today...sunny, with a high of 52, and by tomorrow 62. By the time I took Lee to work this morning...dropped the kids off at school, the roads were already clear...and for the most part, dry. The sun is shinning, and with no wind, it doesn't feel bad at all. I just ran outside and took a picture...so, I'll have something to show ya when I get my film developed. At this rate, the snow will about be gone, and the temp up by the time I have to go to work at 1. With the sun shinning as brightly as it is, it sure won't take long.

Well, I guess I'll let you all go for now. I'm sure you have better things to be doing, than sitting here and listen to me go on and on. lol I hope you all have a great day. I'll be back tonight, to check in and see what's been happening while I was going.

Have a good one!

Much love,
Lev
