Welcome to Wednesday
Welcome to hump day!!!
I'm so glad that Wednesday is here, now I'm headed down hill towards my weekend, which I always LOVE!
How is everyone doing this bright sunny morning? Or, I hope it is bright and sunny wherever you are. It is a beautiful day again in Missouri....I LOVE it!
Got to do the ole work grind again today. Yesterday wasn't too bad. It was a really slow day, compared to what we have been having. Usually, if it's that slow, the day also seems to creep by, but fortunately, it didn't seem to do that yesterday. It seemed to go by rather quickly.
We had a lovely time last night at Landon's house. Tara-Lee fixed lamb, which was ABSOLUTELY delicious....melted in your mouth. I haven't had lamb very often at all....only on a few occasion, at a pizza place here in town, that uses lamb to make their sausage...it is wonderful. The roast she fixed last night was soooo good. Lamb is as common in Australia, as beef is here in the states, so it is a regular staple there. It seems here in the states that lamb is more of a delicacy. It was fabulous though!
Amanda goes for an ultrasound today. So, I will have another picture of a "gerbil" to add to my refrigerator...hehehehe. We joke, that the first ultrasound picture they took of Eva, one of which I got, she was just so little, that she looked like a gerbil! lol You sure couldn't destringuish any features at all, at that early stage.
Do any of you have plans for this Father's day weekend? Lee had last Sat. off, but hopefully, is going to be able to get this Sat. off too, since I do too. We'd like to go to the lake on Sat., spend the night with Mike and Paula...lee's cousin, and then attend church Sunday morning. Lebanon, where my parents live, is just about 25 miles from the lake, so then after church, we plan on driving to Lebanon to spend the afternoon with my Dad.
I'd like for all of us to be able to get together here, with Lee and the kids. Hopefully, we can work out something for Sunday evening. I know that Kirk said last night that he had to work on Sun., but I'm not sure how late. Maybe at some point we can all get together, even if it is just for a bit. I know that it means alot to Lee, even if he doesn't say anything, because just a couple of yrs back, we didn't know if he'd ever see another Father's day. Now, since God gave him the miracle of another, it really means so much more to him, knowing how close he came to never having one again. It does, at times, take drastic measures to get our attention....doesn't it? A wake up call....God givin' us a thump on the head saying.... "Silly....wake up and smell the roses!!!" Lots of times, it those wake-up calls that makes us appreciate so much more, the beautify that fills our lives. I think, for the most part, this is something that doesn't seem to hit us, until later in our lives. I think it is ashame though, that we seem to not see it in our younger years. How much more fullfilled our lives would have been with this realization. I do know that it is something that Lee sure appreciates more now....more than he ever did before. Since his illness, there have been several times that he's mentioned that he realizes he came very close to never seeing another Father's day, or birthday, Thanksgiving, or Christmas. It makes those days, and everyother day, so much more precious!
Well...guess I'll get outta here...maybe do more email reading, and posting.
I hope that you all have a BEATUTIFUL day!
Enjoy it....treasure it!
Much love,
Lev
