You have arrived in Lev's Notes. Hi, I'm Levonne, or Lev, as most call me online. I've tried to make this blog a mixture of things I can share, anything and everything that has to do with me. Whether it be expressed thoughts on something that is a part of me, or something that I love very deeply. You will see a variety here. Levonne:More About Me, is exactly what it say. Here you can read about my childhood, my faith, things that make up who I am, and where I came from. Bits and Pieces: Are special pages that are close to my heart. Things that mean alot to me, and are a very important part of my life. I live in the United States, in the midwestern state, Missouri. I have shared some wonderful links with you and tried to show you all that is a part of the beautiful "Show Me" state, that I live in. You will have access to my home pages, links to wonderful sites, from health, Christianity, to travel. I also share the links to web pages that I have designed, and also to the many wonderful groups of which I'm owner. Educational links to higher education here in Columbia, MO, where I live, and lastly, links to several ribbon campaigns that are close to my heart. I do hope that you enjoy the time you spend here, and I encourage you to return often, and visit those sites and links that you've not yet had a chance to. I trust that I have included wonderful links, beautiful music, stunning photos, and much more, that I know you will enjoy. And don't forget...my daily ramblings...all that is going on in my life from day to day. Hope that all this makes you know a little more about what makes Lev tick. Have a GREAT day! God Bless. Lev

Hey Guys!

Hi, everyone!
I've got just a couple of minutes before Lee gets home, and then we're headed to Indiana, again! We're really hoping this will be it. We are seriously looking for a place to move ourselves, and hopefully, will be hearing good new the beginning of next week. So, it's obvious that now I need to spend my time moving my home, and won't be making anymore trips in awhile. The Christmas season is coming up, and soon there will be NO extra days off for Lee, so this may well be the last trip we make for a few months.

I had to take my cat to the vet today, on top of trying to get packed for this weekend. He had an abcess in his jaw, which looked like someone had REALLY socked him a good one. They had to drain it, but I got to bring him back home just a couple of hours later, and he's doing good. They've got him on an antibiotic, and he's grounded to the house for 5 days, to allow the incission to heal. He's not gonna like that much...he loves being outdoors.

I hoping I got everything packed that we need. I didn't get home till after 3 from the vet, so that didn't leave much time, especially when I had to do some laundry also. I was able to get the majority of it done around 6, and finally closed up the bags, convincing myself that I hadn't forgotten anything. lol Only time will tell.

Well, Lee should be here before much longer. I just talked to him, and he's headed home. He's gotta stop at the $ store, to get cat litter and cat food, then headed home. We go right by $ General on our way home, so it's not out of the way, and doesn't take long.

We'll be back in town late Mon/Tues. ....probably Tuesday, knowing us, but we're going to do our best not to be back too late. We did pretty good last time, and got home just around 2. That's sure alot better than 4, and one time, close to 5. That's way to late, especially when you have to get up the next morning for work.

Hope you all have a great weekend, and I'll be in touch when we get back. Take care!

Much love,
Lev

Sabbath Prayers/Scripture

HAVE A BLESSED
SABBATH

Jewish Prayers

Come let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, that we may walk the paths of the Most High. And we shall beat our swords into ploughshares and our spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation—neither shall they learn war any more. And none shall be afraid, for the mouth of the Lord of Hosts has spoken.

Isaiah 2:2-4

Jewish Prayer for Peace
Grant us peace. Your most precious gift, O Eternal Source of peace, and give us the will to proclaim its message to all the peoples of the earth. Bless our country, that it may always be a stronghold of peace, and its advocate among the nations. May contentment reign within its borders, health and happiness within its homes. Strengthen the bonds of friendship among the inhabitants of all lands. And may the love of Your name hallow every home and every heart. Blessed is the Eternal God, the source of Peace.

TGIF

Well, I couldn't tell ya the last time I got home from work at a decent hour, but here it is 1:30 and I'm home for the day. Aaron was headed out of town for the weekend, so we finished up with what we had to do fairly quickly, so he could head out on the road.

I told myself while I was still at work, that I was gonna come home and get started immediately on my house...which looks like an F5 has gone through it! lol But, the closer I got to home, I had convinced myself that I was gonna sit down at this puter, and just chill awhile. I am gonna get up and try to kick some butt on this house, it needs it so desperately. I am going to try and get as much done as I can this afternoon, so I have most of my day free tomorrow. There's other stuff that I need to get done.

Moriah works this weekend, so we'll be headed to Landon's after lee gets off. We'll do supper, and probably watch some movies. Lee has to work tomorrow, so I doubt that we stay out there very late.

I'm going to try and do some rearranging on my living room tomorrow. I have to try to make a place for all my plants that I've had outside during the summer, but it won't be long before I have to bring them all inside, and it makes it very very crowded. I always seem to mess up, and leave them out longer than I should, and it never fails, some of them end up getting a touch of frost, which does them no good at all. So, this year, I'm going to try bringing them in a little sooner. I have 5 windows in this entire house, and none of them get the best of sunlight, so I'm very limited as to where I can put my plants, which is why I always try and leave them out as long as possible. Most of them have to go in the living room, and there are only a couple that I can put in my bedroom, due to the fact that they need more light than I get in there. One of the windows is in the kitchen, but it's too small to put any plants in, so that does me absolutely no good at all. The fact that some of my plants are rather big, doesn't help any either. I have one palm that is about 5 ft. tall, and takes up at least a 3ft diameter. Then I have a peace lilly, and another palm that are about 4ft...and the same diameter as the big palm, so just those three alone take up quite a bit of space. Hopefully, I'll be able to figure something out.

Well, guess I better head outta here, and try to get something done. It will be great not having to take off for the weekend, but alas...next weekend will be different.

I'll be in touch...take care!

Much love,
Lev

For those of you who come to Lev's Notes, to view the Sabbath and Sunday Scriptures, I appologize that there haven't been any in a few weeks. Blogger hasn't been working up to parr for me, although I'm not sure why, and I've had trouble loading pictures. I will keep trying, and eventually, hopefully, this problem will be resolved.

Another weekend trip

"All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go"..... to head for the weekend to Indiana. Each time we go I say I hope we finish. Who knows...hehehehe I've stopped guessing!

I feel like I haven't been in to say "HI", in "forever"! I'm sure some of you are thinking....'yeah, it's been about that long.' lol Things have been so crazy! Work, and work, and more work...haha It's all I can do to keep up with what's going on. I feel like I've never caught up since the first weekend we went to Indiana...back in July! It seems the first weekend we don't have to go there, I hope to recoop a little that weekend, but, if you do that, then nothing else around the house gets done.

I've had a couple of REALLY CRAZY DAYS, at work. All those books that came in awhile back...in the big boxes, that I broke my rib on, now, we're in the process of putting them all away! Just yesterday, I carried 267 books from the garage to the upstairs. And mind you, most of them you can only carry 6-7 at a time...if that, some of them are so big....the text and medical books, especially. That's a lot of trips up and down the stairs! And, that was just yesterday. I did at least that many the two previous days before that! I've got a couple of more boxes to do, then that should complete the "first" big box that came in...remember we got two big boxes that day...one weighing over 2,400 lbs, and the other one a little over 1,800 lbs. That's entirely tooooooo many trips up and down the steps! lol I'm getting too old, and after breaking my hip, my leg has been killing me...especially the last 3 days, while trying to get all these books put up. It doesn't quite want to support me, plus an extra 50-60 lbs. of books that I might be carring, and climbing steps on top of that.

We had an absolutely FABULOUS time, at our friends Cheri and Richard, last weekend. We had lots of time to visit, and catch up. Sunday was great! We got to take the pontoon to Stockton Lake, and had a fabulous time! The weather held out for us, it looked like rain for awile. I got some great pictures of the lake, and the sailboats. They were beautiful, and were really enjoying the wonderful breeze that we had that day. We took drinks, and food, and made sandwiches on the boat, while we relaxed, talked, and did a bit of swimming. We were really in need of a short vacation. We were able to stay Sat. Sun., and Monday. Moriah took off work, and Landon arranged to get the weekend off, so they were both able to go with us. landon had a great time visiting with Cheri's son, Todd. When the boys were much littler, Cheri and I lived closer together, and the boys were always inseperable.

Well, guess I'll head outta here, and check bags, and make sure I have everything we need. We'll be headed back Monday. We're gonna do our best to not get out of there so late, since Moriah will be at home by herself until we get here. She is spending the night with a friend on Sunday, and then to school Monday.

I hope you all have a great weekend. Sorry it took me so long to get in to say "Hello".

Take care..

Much love,
Lev
