A crazy couple a days

Is it ever humid, sultry, stickey and hot today in Columbia. Wow....but boy, I do love it, and will take it anyday over 30. I have been soooooo ready for warm weather.
I worked yesterday. Lee was off, and so was Moriah...no school. When I got home, we started getting stuff together to head for landon's...he had called to tell us that they had the pool open there at his park. Of course, he, plus the kids were ready to go. We knew for sure that the water was going to be like it had been shipped in from the Antartic...it sure couldn't be warm, considering he had just finished filling it on Saturday. So, off to Ashland we headed. As we got closer, the sky began to get darker, and we knew we were headed into some rain. So much for swimming...althought I had already made up my mind that if my feet and legs got wet, I'd be doing good. i don't like cold water! We did go to the pool for abit when we got there. it hadn't started raining yet, and the boys wanted to go again, and Moriah was going to attempt it. lol Needless to say she put her foot in, and then came over and set down by me. hahahha. Kenny and Gabriel swam for maybe 20 mins., then I started feeling a few sprinkles, and it was getting darker, so decided that we'd head back to the house. We had been out the night before and bbq'ed pork steaks, and had plenty left over. So, last night was no biggie for supper...reheated those, fixed some corn on the cob, and reheated the beans from the night before, and supper was done rather quickly.
It did decide to pour buckets on us for about 30 mins. Then, it slowly subsided. It wasn't that bad. But, evidently we had a bit more wind at least, here in Columbia, because when we got home, the big potted palm that I have in front of my house had been blown over, and dirt spilled out all over. What a mess! That big hail storm and tornado's we had a few months back, busted all out porch lights out, so we couldn't hardly see what we were doing, and had to try and scoop up dirt by flashlight. I have really wanted to try and replant that palm, it is getting so big. It was originally two palms planted in one big pot, but has now grown and sprouted new trunks...probably close to 7, maybe 8. I have really wanted to try and spit them apart, but was afraid that when I got them out of the pot, they would be too root bound to seperate. I was right. The plant was also very root bound at the bottom. i did have a pot that was a little bit bigger than the one it was it...not by much, but enough to make a difference. So, since the palm had already gotten dumped over, and the dirt loosened quite a bit, I decided to go ahead and try to repot it. Like I said, it was pretty root bound, but I was able to loosen the roots quite a bit..giving them more room to sprout out, and put them this time in a little sandier mixture, which as palms they should like. I was able to get them pulled a little farther apart, so that it at least looks like I have two seperate trees now...not just one giant big one. And that is just about the way it looked, they were all grown up so closely together and crowding each other. Plus they got a touch of frost bite when i first put them out this spring, so I'm hoping that this fresh sandy soil, and some more room for the roots to branch out, that it will start to perk up and look much better. I'll have to get a before and after shot on my camera. lol Although, today, with the sun beating down on my back, my shirt soaked, like I had just pulled it out of the washer, and the sweat dripping from the end of my nose, lol, I could have definately picked a cooler day to transplant that palm! But, we are suppose to have rain tonight, and tomorrow, and I knew that would be good for it, so decided this was the day to get it done, regardless of temperature.
Just about the time we got things done at work today, Aaron's cell rang, and it was his girlfriend. She had taken off to do some stuff, using his car, and someone rear ended her and messed up the bumper on his car. Aaron said he could tell she was a rich kid...she had no license, and no insurance. She was REALLY not wanting to call the police. They really should have been called, but Aaron, really not wanting to get her in trouble, took the name and address of her parents, and other information, and he is going to contact them. He is just trusting that they will make it right. Let's hope so. He could have been a real butt whole and called the police, but I don't really know if that would have done any good. It would have only gotten her in trouble, and it still wouldn't have gotten his car fixed. It is inevidable though, that she will eventually get caugh...and may not be so lucky the next time. She was a college student here in town...and it's mom and dad's car. So...let's just hope they're upright people, and will do the right thing.
Moriah got out of school early today...12:30. They have been having finals...Fri., today, and tomorrow...and then, it is summer vacation for her! She is definately ready. She has two more finals tomorrow, I believe.
We are going to be leaving for Indiana on Friday, to visit Lee's mom. It is about a 7-8 hr. drive, depending on how many stops you make. i am hoping that Lee will be able to get off early, so we can head out before 7pm. that always puts us in sooooo late. The only thing about trying to leave around 3, which would be ideal, is that leaving at that times, puts us into St. Louis at 5:00 and rush hour traffic, which is a PAIN IN THE ......... not to mention that you take your life into your own hands when you drive through that town. They all drive like maniacs, and I just HATE having to drive like that, and so tense I feel like I have a board up the back of my shirt. I really enjoy driving, and riding...taking trips, WHEN, I can relax and enjoy the ride. You can't do that when four lanes of traffic are zooming by at 75-80, and you feel like if you don't drive the same, they'll run over you. Well...I won't drive that fast.l much happier when I'm driving out on the open road. So...I'm not sure what time we'll try and leave. Even if we'd leave by four, that would help some, and might not put us in to St. Louis at quite such a bad time. We decided to do this rather spur of the moment. We had talked about it, but decided that it might be 2-3 weeks before we could get the money together to go, but Lee's mom wants us to come sooner, so she is going to pay for what it cost to get us there and back. That will sure help, because if we used Lee's check to go there, then there'd be nothing left to pay the bills that are also due. Lee as usual is off on Monday, and I've arranged with Aaron to take next Monday off, so we will head back to Missouri sometime on Monday. With such a short notice on going, Moriah wasn't able to get off work, so we'll take her to landon's on Thursday night...she works Friday, since she'll be out of school by then. Chances are it will be late Monday night before we're home, so will probably just go back and get her on Tuesday...unless of course, she is working that day. Now that school will be out, she'll be working more than two days.
Landon picked Moriah up at school for me today, since I was still at work. He was till here when I got home, but left shorly after that to go pick up Amanda and Mary, and then they were headed to Glasgow...that's Missouri...not Scotland..hehehehe to see Amanda's mom and dad, and visit with her sister, Gwen, who is in for a time from England. Her and her husband live there. She tries to come for a visit at least once every 3 yrs. She was here not long after Gabriel was born. Of course, this will be the first time she has seem Mary too, and i know that the boys have grown so much, she won't hardly know them. While she is here, she is going to take Kenny and Gabriel to the st. Louis zoo. They'll LOVE THAT!

Well, I've been going on now for some time, so guess I'll put a lid on it, and get up and do something consturctive..like clean my kitchen, and get supper going. I'll be back tonight to see what everyone has been up to. I hope you've had a great day, and are getting ready to enjoy your evening...or begin your day...depending on where you are.
Will talk to you all soon!
Much love,
Lev

I finally made it!

I told myself on Tuesday, after the day I had, that I'd have to drop in and fill you all in on the day I'd gone through. Well...I never made it on Tuesday, and now for the life of me, can't really remember why. lol Probably for the same reason as last night, when I had told myself that since I didn't make it in on Tuesday, that I really needed to touch base with you all then, but, by the time I'd messed with groups, emails, spending some time watching TV, and so forth, it was going on 2am, and I was so tired I couldn't keep my eyes open. So, I promised myself that when I got home today...one of the FIRST things I was going to do was finally get this email written, and be able to say "HI"!

So...with me taking Monday off for Lee's test, Tuesday was like TOTAL CHAOS, at work. As usual, nothing got mailed on Sat., or Sunday, but Aaron does take orders off the internet, and finds the books and gets them ready to ship. Then Monday, me gone, nothing got mailed that day either, but orders still kept coming in. Tuesday morning, Lee wasn't feeling too whoopie', still...so decided to stay home from work and rest up a bit more. So, my mind already wasn't on work, thinking more about him being here, and how he was feeling. There were dishes from Sat., Sun., and Mon....so, the kitchen is where I always start first. It's what I really hate the worst to do. Then of course there was let Buddy out...the dog, feed and water him, feed the fish. There was some laundry to do, so got that started, also had both bathrooms to clean, baseboards, tubs, stools..the whole works. There were some plants Aaron got that had to be redone. I got some of that done on Tuesday too. There were some oil spots in the garage, so he wanted something to try and be done with them, so we don't drag it into the house. His girlfriend has a cat, and he had some catlitter, so I was able to get the oil soaked up, and much better than it was. Aaron and Mary spent the weekend and Monday cleaning out his garage, so....the garage looked GREAT....but....I think at least 50% of what WAS in the garage...key word here WAS....was/is now sitting in the middle of the living room floor, and also fills up most of the floor in the office. lol For reasons I won't mention here...I wasn't able to get upstairs and do the stuff up there I normally do as soon as I'm done downstairs. It was after 2 before I ever even got to the upstairs, and I still hadn't even gotten a list yet from Aaron, on books that needed to be collected to ship that day. Of course, the mailman had already come, and we hadn't even begun to start packaging them up, much less having them ready. I had no idea what was instore for me....lol
I finally got the list from Aaron...4 pages...we usually have about 1- 1 1/2 pgs...and...this did not include the ones he already had hunted up for the previous 3 days. By the time we got everything package, and my backseat loaded(remember, I have to take these to the post office too)...it was 4:30. I had, if I recall right, 10 boxes, and approximately 30-35 large mailing envelopes. My back seat was FULL! I finally drove away from the post office, and headed home, just around 5. So...Tuesday was quite the long day...compared to the norm. Yesterday, wasn't too bad. I think we both wanted to take it easy after Tuesday...lol. Yesterday I was just there a couple of hrs. And today, wasn't to extreme either. lol I did clean out the fridge, and also the freezer..he had a soda blow up...lol I've sure seen them make worse messes than this one did. Tomorrow, looks like I am going to be shopping. I guess we're going to buy shelves, and try to get more stuff back off the floor. It wasn't looking too bad, till the garage got cleaned. I'm not sure how many he wants to get, but he did mention that he has gone to all 3 Wal Mart's before, and bought them out at each store...they usually only have 2-3, he said... So, something tells me I may be hitting all three stores tomorrow, and may come home with a bunch of shelves. Guess it's a good thing I have a big car. Hopefully, it won't be so many that I have to make two trips. Then comes the task of having to put all of them together. I've done just one since I've been there, but they're not hard. Gee...I'm game to try anything ...usually. Lee did come home one day surprised that I had bought a ceiling fan, and installed it myself. I've put a few computer desks together too, in my time, so these shelves weren't bad at all. If we can get 8-9 shelves tomorrow, wow...we can get ALOT of books off the floor!!! That will make tons of a difference! plus, make alot more available to our customers, when we can get these index and listed on the site.

Well, enough about work. What else has been going on? Tuesday....the "crazy " day...was my birthday...the big 5 3! Maybe that's why it was so strange a day. lol I guess I can say one thing, that even though I was a yr. older, I was still able to keep up with that mess on Tuesday. It just dawned on me, that I could look at it as now being 52. Afterall, I haven't completed my 53 yr yet...so how can i be that old. I remember there was some arguing about that over the yr. 2000....So, I may just consider myself to be 52...being that I've completed that many years in my life. Guess that just means I'm a yr. yonger than I thought i was. lol We were broke, down to our last few bucks, so we didn't do anything for my birthday. Lee was already home for the day, and after the day I had, I just came home, got comfortable in my slippers, and spent an enjoyable evening with Lee, playing on the puter, and watching TV. It was a great day, even if there wasn't alot of hoopla!

I came home today...and buzzed Landon...he's online. So, I've been talkin' off and on to him while I'm writing this email. He just buzzed me and said that his power had gone off. i hadn't even noticed that he'd gone off line. He goes sometime between conversations at times, so I just figured he was doing something else. He said they were working on the electic lines where he lives. I just tried sending him a message..wanted to ask him something, but he's not answering. something tells me that maybe the power has gone out again. lol I may just have to call him. I thought I'd see if Amanda is working tonight, and if she is, if he'd like to come on into town, and spend the evening here, rather than at home alone. Oh well...he buzzed..just slow in answering...lol

It is really blowing here. I can hear my trash cans blowing in the neighbors drive way,....you can pick them up over and over again. There are trash cans blowing up and down the street, all of them empty from the trash pick up today, and being tossed around by the winds like a little piece of hay. One by one they will get picked up as people come home from their day's work, and may often have to even hunt for their lids...or make a trip into the neighbors yard to retrieve their can. It is sunny and beautifully warm, but I do believe that some thunderstorms are suppose to come in later this evening. It is rather grey/blue looking to the west, which is where we get all our storms from. We had a little thunderboomer hit us last night. We had heavy wind and rain, and pea to moth ball size hail. Nothing to drastic. It did blow my big palm over, and it naturally had to land ontop of another plant...smashing it almost beyond recongnition. But, once the rain stopped, I was able to look at it, and work on it a bit, and I don't think any of it broke, or I lost any. This is good. The hail was a little rough on my petunias. My drive way is plattered with little colorful bits of petals. But, all in all they don't look too bad...considering. The guy across the street from us, lost a big chunk out of his tree. 1/2 the tree is laying on the ground, and very close to his front window. We're not sure if it was the wind, or lightening. I haven't heard anyone say.

Well, I've gone on and one here. Guess it's time to head out. Moriah will be home in a bit, and I'll see what landon has found out about coming over or not. If he doesn't, I think I'll just have Lee meet us somewhere for a burger, or something...so I don't have to cook. It can be my birthday dinner! lol

I'll be back later to check in and see what's going on. Hope you have all had a great day, and hope you have a good evening!

Much love,
Lev

EVER SEE AN ICEBERG
FROM TOP TO BOTTOM?
This is awesome!

This came from a Rig Manager for Global Marine Drilling
in St. Johns, Newfoundland.
They actually have to divert the path of these things
away from the rig by towing them with ships!
Anyway, in this particular case the water was calm and
the sun was almost directly overhead
so that the diver was able to get into the water
and click this pic. Clear water huh?! They estimated the weight at 300,000,000 tons.

Bringing in the 23rd

It's a little after midnight here. We got home from Landon's much earlier than we expected, unfortunately. Lee just continued to have that full and bloated feeling, which we knew would be expected to a point, but the longer the discomfort lasted, the more he realized that it was another problem he faces at times, concerning his stomach. The food does not always empty out into the digestive system, and when it doesn't, everything he eats collects in his stomach, until there is no where for it to go, except out! Lee could feel it coming on, and the medicine that he needed was here at the house, so I quickly ate...so much for his steak, and then we just packed up and headed for home. We had hardley gotten off Landon's street, until Lee had me pull over...he was horribly sick...everything he had eaten...his big breakfast..had just laid there. He had not even attempted supper. We just came home, so he could take his medicine, and hopefully, get to feeling better. Well...it's taking it time working, I'll say that. He got sick once we got home, and then finally said he was just going to try and go to bed. He was wanting to start his pau d arco tea tonight, but almost afraid that he wouldn't be able to keep it down. It wasn't long after he got in bed though, that he came back into the living room...saying he just felt awful. Next thing we know...he was sick again! He said he began to feel a little better, and decided to go ahead and try sipping a cup of his tea, which I fixed, and brewed according to the directions. He's gone back to bed now...I really hope he can get some sleep. I don't know that he'll be able to go to work tomorrow, if he isn't feeling any better. I'm hoping maybe even that the warm tea will help him sleep. i haven't heard anything out of him in the past several minutes..so maybe he got to sleep. I'm going to set some out for him to have a cup tomorrow too...he is suppose to have two cups per day, that is what's recommended. It wasn't really the evening we had planned.

Back to work tomorrow..then just back home. I'm about out of money, and about out of gas until Thurs. Hope I can make it! There won't be any unnecessary running around until then. there's probably gonna be alot of "breakfast", between now and payday too...eggs, pancakes...etc. They're about the cheapest meal there is to prepare.

Well, it's 12:30, and I can't stop yawning, on top of the fact that it's been a loooooooooong day! I sometimes wonder if the test aren't harder on the ones that are waiting, than the ones having the test done. It is very very tiresome! So...I'm outta here and headed for bed. I'll be checking in tomorrow afternoon, when i get home from work. I'll talk to you all then. Have a great day!

Much love,
Lev

Back from the test/Good Afternoon

Hi everyone, and how are you all doing on this Monday?

We just arrived home from the hospital about 30 mins ago. We had to be at the hospital this morning at 10 am for Lee's colonoscopy...or however it is spelled. Everything went very well. Lee said that the procedure was not bad at all, that the preparation....the liquid diet, and the gallon of stuff that you have to drink, is FAR worse than the test itself. Of course, they had him sedated, and pretty well out of it. But, all went good with the test, and one small pollup was removed, but the dr. was not concerned about the way it appeared, and was quite certain that it was benine. We will hear back the results from the test they performed on it in 3-4 days they said. So, we'll just continue to trust God that all is okay, as the drs. have concluded. This is a big relief!!! Thank God that all appears to be clear.

Naturally, since Lee has had NO solid food since Saturday night, once we left the hospital he was ready for food. lol So...we went to a little diner not far from where Lee works...they serve breakfast all day, and we enjoyed a great breakfast, and Lee was just really gettin' into this solid food....he had bacon, 2 eggs, english muffin, hashbrowns, and French toast. He said it was GREAT!!!! Landon's birthday is Wednesday, and when he was by here yesterday to bring Moriah back home, we went ahead and gave him his birthday present a little early. We got him a new grill...all he had was one of those little small tabletop ones, which was rather hard to cook on when we'd all get together and you're trying to cook for 8 people, on this little bitty thing. So...he was rather excited to see a big one. Of course, Lee told him that the only stipulation to him getting his b.d. present early, was that tonight...after having no solid food, and these test over.... and starving to death...landon has to cook him a steak for supper. So...later on this afternoon, when Moriah gets home from school, we are going to head out to Landon's and will get to try out the new grill.

It seemed funny not going in to work today. lee had found out about this test, way back at the first of May, so I had mentioned something to Aaron then, about having to have this day off...since I needed to go with Lee, as driver...he can't drive for 12 hrs....since he's had sedatives. He's not that dopey right now, but probably 90% of the time when we go somewhere, I drive anyway. Anyway, so I will be back at work tomorrow. It will make this week seem short, compared to the usual.

Lee's doing great. He's snoring in his recliner right now, and wants to rest up a bit before we go to Landon's. It will be good for him...I'm sure he's still a little out-of-it...with what they did. Plus, if he rests and relaxes some, i'm sure he'll enjoy the time we spend out at Landon's much more than he would if he was still worn out and tired. Regardless of how much they do, it always seems like these kind of things always take it out of you, even if it isn't an ivasive test. I'm just glad that it is over, and I know he is too.

I have run on to information about an herb that is widely used for the treatment of cancer, along with several other diseases, and problems. It's called pau d'arco...from trees native to South America,.....Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay...I believe were the countries. This herb has been used for 100's of years, and widley used by the Incas' and Azetc's. We've weighed all the information, and it does not seem to conflict with any of the problems that he has had. The main concern being that this tea...which I've read is the best form for ingestion...vs. pills, etc., has an anti-couagulant(?) effect, but Lee has never had problems with his blood clotting...and the problems he had with the blood platelets being so low, due to the tick bite he received 3 yrs. ago, have all healed, and are back to normal. There are several things mentioned that this herb helps with, and many of them Lee suffers from...#1, naturally, being his cancer. But, other than being a superb fighter of many types of cancers, it is also very beneficial in cutting down on insulin dependency in diabetics...which Lee is. It is also very beneficial in helping with weight gain, and Lee is a few lbs. overweight....probably about 30. It is also helpful in treating impotency, which unfortunately the diabetes has taken it toll, and it even stimulates the growth of hair...which Lee was tickled to hear about...considering that he doesn't have much on the top of his head anymore. lol It is also very helpful as a pain reliever, especially for arthritis, which Lee is getting a touch of in his hands, and considering he is a jeweler, and uses his hands for his work, it is sometime difficult for him...especially in the mornings. So....with this tea being so beneficial, for so many of Lee's symptoms, he's going to start on a small regement....2 cups a day, which is what they recommend as "normal maintenence".... I've read testimonials of tumors and cancers disappearing.... we will just pray that we see a miracle in Lee's case also. If any of you have heard anything about this herb...or used it...please let me know your thoughts.... I'd sure appreciated it. The herb again is called: pau d'arco.

Well, guess I'll head outta here. I've got to go change clothes...I wore a long sleeve shirt, jeans, plus a jacket to the hospital, becuase it is always so cold there. But, now that I'm home, it's warming up just a bit...and of course, much warmer outside now that it was this morning. I hope you all have a great day. We're just going to relax here, and do our best to enjoy the rest of the afternoon, before heading to landon's later. Will talk to you all soon!

Much love,
Lev

Don't Worry

Great story....reminds me of the bumper stickers that say...."God is my co-pilot".... I prefer the ones that say,... "if God is your co-pilot... you need to CHANGE SEATS!"

Don't Worry
Author Unknown

Years ago, I was enthralled as I listened to a pastor who for several years had faithfully served the church. His executive responsibilities had taken him all over this country. As he concluded his message, he told of one of the most frightening, yet thought-provoking, experiences of his life. He had been on a long flight from one place to another. The first warning of the approaching problems came when the sign on the airplane flashed on: Fasten your seat belts. Then, after a while, a calm voice said, "We shall not be serving the beverages at this time as we are expecting a little turbulence. Please be sure your seat belt is fastened." As he looked around the aircraft, it became obvious that many of the passengers were becoming apprehensive. Later, the voice of the announcer said, "We are so sorry that we are unable to serve the meal at this time. The turbulence is still ahead of us." Then the storm broke. The ominous cracks of thunder could be heard even above the roar of the engines. Lightning lit up the darkening skies, and within moments that great plane was like a cork tossed around on a celestial ocean. One moment the airplane was lifted on terrific currents of air; the next, it dropped as if it were about to crash. The pastor confessed that he shared the discomfort and fear of those around him. He said, "As I looked around the plane, I could see that nearly all the passengers were upset and alarmed. Some were praying. The future seemed ominous and many were wondering if they would make it through the storm. ”Then, I suddenly saw a little girl. Apparently the storm meant nothing to her. She had tucked her feet beneath her as she sat on her seat; she was reading a book and every thing within her small world was calm and orderly. Sometimes she closed her eyes, then she would read again; then she would straighten her legs, but worry and fear were not in her world. When the plane was being buffeted by the terrible storm when it lurched this way and that, as it rose and fell with frightening severity, when all the adults were scared half to death, that marvelous child was completely composed and unafraid." The minister could hardly believe his eyes. It was not surprising therefore, that when the plane finally reached its destination and all the passengers were hurrying to disembark, our pastor lingered to speak to the girl whom he had watched for such a long time. Having commented about the storm and behavior of the plane, he asked why she had not been afraid. The child replied, "'Cause my Daddy's the pilot, and he's taking me home." There are many kinds of storms that buffet us: • Physical, • Mental, • Financial, • Domestic, and... Many other storms can easily and quickly darken our skies and throw our plane into apparently uncontrollable movement. We have all known such times, and let us be honest and confess: it is much easier to be at rest when our feet are on the ground than when we are being tossed about a darkened sky. Let us remember... Our Father is the Pilot. He is in control and taking us home... so Don't Worry.

Kelsey's Graduation

I feel so awful. Crying 1
I sent this out late last night, to my groups, and then why...or how...just went off and forgot to put it here. I guess, as you'll see when you read, that I was just pooped and tired from the drive. It just totally slipped my mind. So..here it is now...all about our trip to the lake to see our cousin graduate from HS.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is late, about 1:30. I guess we've been home about an hour or maybe a little more. I wanted to drop in though, before hitting the hay, and enclose the pictures we took at Kelsey's HS graduation. She looked beautiful, as always. It's just so hard to believe that the time has gone by so quickly. She has grown into such a beautiful girl. And...to look at that beautiful head of blonde curls...natural, I might add, you'd never know that she was almost bald..hardly NO hair at all, till she was almost a yr old. We wouldn't have missed this night for the world. We're very proud of her. She was a honor roll student, as well as received scholarships from the university she will be attending.
Checkin' in before leaving
I've come to a bit of a stand still, when it comes to being ready for tonight.
I got off work, ran through McDonald's for a burger, then came home. I checked my email to see what was new since I'd left a couple of hours before. Once that was done, I decided I'd go ahead and get the kitchen done, so that I wouldn't have a disaster of a mess when I got home late tonight. I sure wouldn't have wanted to mess with it then, and probably wouldn't have. No one in the house likes to do the kitchen. lol
Once I got that done, I figured I'd better decide what I was going to wear. I racked my brain all the way to work, trying to come up with ideas...and although a few crossed my mind, none of them really struck me. It's beautiful out right now, but the graduation tonight is going to be outdoors, and I always seems to be chilly all the time, (except for through the night, when I'm having my night sweats). So, I know it will be a little on the chilly side tonight, so I decided to wear a sweater...a rather light one, and then have a jacket to wear with it...along with my tan capris. I got the capris ironed and ready to go, and my sweater laid out. I sat back down at the puter, got my make-up all together, and put my make-up, while sitting here...and watching a bit of Star Trek, The Movie, while doing that. So, that's about all I can do now, until I'm ready to get dress, and am not going to do that until we're about ready to leave.
That's when I decided that I'd just sit down, and write you all a short note. I've been sitting here, while writing, listening to my windchimes at my front door. I love the sound they make as the breeze swirls about them.
Moriah just got home. She got her year book today, and is sitting here, naturally, looking through it, finding all her friends, and remenissing about the past year. It was always an exciting time for me when year book time arrived.
I can't think of much else that has to be done before we leave. I am suppose to be meeting Lee around 5:30. We'll park his car so we don't have 2. Then we'll head to Ashland, where we're going to meet Landon, and the kids. They are going to be going with us. Amanda has to work, so she won't be able to go. We should arrive at the lake around 7, or a little after...graduation starts at 7:30. We don't have quite as far to go as we do when we go to church, so it won't take us quite as long as it normally does. We don't have to go through Osage Beach, and all the way to Camdenton. That is one good thing at least...it won't be rediculously late when we get home, like it is when we come from lebanon, which isn't far from Camdenton.
I do have to stop at the cable company, on the way to get Lee, and let them know I'll be in tomorrow to pay my bill, so they won't cut my tv, and internet off. I tried calling 3 times as soon as I got home, but those stupid animated operators, drive me nuts....and I NEVER got through. The cable office isn't far from our house, and will still be open when we leave, so I'll just stop by and let them know. Once I get Lee, we'll have to stop too, and get gas...I'm about on empty, and he's the one with the money now...today was payday.
Well, guess I'm outta here to check around and see if there's anything else that needs to be done before we go. I have to get my camera together, purse, just general stuff that I always seem to drag along, wherever I go. lol
I'll be on tonight when we get back, I'm sure, although it may be late. But, I'll be sure and get pictures sent tomorrow, from the graduation. Hope you all have a great evening. I'll talk to you all soon.
Much love,
Lev
Nighty Nite, and a great tomorrow!
I hope that you've all been doing good since I stopped in to see you since last Tuesday morning...very early, Tuesday morning. There really hasn't been much new to tell you since I was here last, so figured you'd all just probably be bored! Of course, this may bore you too...lol For the next couple of minutes at least, I made it in on Wed....but it will be Thursday morning before this email is finished.
I worked Tues. and today. Work is still going good. My hours each week have been cut a little. I'm just doing between 2-3 hours a day, instead of 4. That is just for the time being, this is a slow part of the year. It will pick up again, once it closer to school starting, then I'll be back to my 4 hours..there will be more to do.
Tomorrow, lee will be getting off a bit early, and we will be headed to the Lake to see Kelsey graduate from high school. Kelsey, is Lee's cousin, Mike's daugther. I can remember so plainly, when we brought Moriah home from the hospital, and Kelsey, then just about 1 1/2, was so tickled that her new little cousin was home, and she'd hold Moriah on her lap, and talk to her so big. And now, Moriah is 16, and Kelsey is graduating. It's just so hard to believe, and just leaves me dumbfounded as to where the past 16 yrs. have gone. I feel like I've just blinked my eyes.
Moriah works Sat. and Sun., so I'll be taking her to Ashland, sometime Friday. I imagine that we'll do supper while we're out there. She's liking her job, but enjoying spending the paychecks more. She's gotten 2 now...the first one wasn't very big, but her last one wasn't too bad, and naturally, between yesterday, and today, I don't think she has much left...if any. But, she does have a new pair of shoes, some underware, and a couple of tee shirts, and some make-up. She has already realized that her money, regardless of how much she has, NEVER seems to be enough for what she wants. LOL WELCOME to the REAL world! lol This will definately be a good lesson for her to learn.
I have just a few more days of being 52...and then it's another year older. But, like I've probably told you before, my Granny, who lived to be 97, always said that getting older sure beat the alternative. lol I guess that is very true. I'm ready to go, but definately not in that big a hurry...there's too many things I have to live for and experience. So...I'll welcome my 53rd with open arms, and be thankful that I made it to 53. I remember turning 40...and thinking, well, I don't feel old, so maybe this isn't any big deal. lol And, I was reminded alot about the saying... "you know you're getting older, when your back goes out more than you do". lol Well, my back doesn't go out, but I now have that steel plate in my leg, that sure does it's fair share of aching when I've been on it too long, or when it's going to rain. I'm waking up through the night, sweatin' my socks off...(if I had any on...hehehehe), and I can thank "Miss Menopause" for that...lol But, regardless of the night sweats...or hot flashes, and the aching hip and leg...life is SO good!
Oh...almost forgot to tell you... I've added a new video on my music page, and wanted to share it with you .... this guy is one talented man, and one of my favorites...as well as Lee's. He was in concert in Kansas City, a couple of years ago with Elton John....MAN...WHAT A CONCERT THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN!!! Only two of the best pianist around...in my opinion! Hope you enjoy this choice...his "signature" song.
Well, it's 12:20...Thursday has arrived. I guess I'll head outta here, and go hit the sack. I've been getting to bed a lot later than ususal, the past week or so...Maybe...I'll get there before, or at least by 1:00 tonight...by the time I run my puter clean up programs, and the such. I'll be around tomorrow afternoon for a bit, so I'll check in and see what you've all been up to. I'll have to get ready to go to the lake, so may not have the time to post, but will definately let you know how the graduation whet...and will probably have some pictures to share with you...give you a chance to see how beautiful Mike and Paula's daughter Kelsey, is.
Have a great Thursday!
Much love,
Lev
Monday into Tuesday
How did everyone's Monday go? Well, I hope!
I trust too that everyone, well, the ladies, that is, had a Happy Mother's Day, I had a wonderful day...till a little after midnight....but that's a story for later! We had decided to go down to Lebanon and see my Mom and Dad. Landon wanted to go with us, they hadn't seen Mary yet, so arrangements were made for the day off, and we began to discuss what time we needed to try and leave Sunday morning. Friday evening, landon was here for awhile. Moriah had to work on Saturday, and he was in town, so he came by and picked her up, to take her back with him, and he hung around for awhile. We had decided...sorta...or discussed it anyway, about leaving here in time to get to Camdenton, about the time church was getting out, and we'd stop at our old church, the one Lee's cousin pastors, and see them for a bit, before preceeding on the Lebanon. Lebanon is just 25 miles from the church. So, as we began to discuss what time we were going to need to leave to arrive at the church around noon, Landon and Lee are both questioning as to why we can't go down earlier, and arrive in time for church. They both really wanted to do that. It's not that I minded going to church...we soooooo miss being able to attend there like we once did, but I wasn't quite relishing the thought of having to get up that early, and be dressed and out of the house by 7:15 am. But...everyone agreed that was what they wanted to do, so that's the arrangements that we made.
We got to Landon's not long after our planned time..so we weren't too far off our schedule. From there, we ran to Micky D's to get some breakfast, then headed toward the lake. From landon's house, it is about 1 1/2 hr. drive. We were afraid traffic might be bad, considering it was Mother's Day, but, it really wasn't that bad, which was nice. We arrived at the church, a little before 10:00 which was when the service starts. Naturally, all the relatives and friends that we hadn't seen in awhile...not since lee's cousin's funeral...first of April, I think it was, were really excited to see Mary for the first time, and of course, thought she was just as beautiful as we do. As always, I was not disappointed that we had gotten up early to drive to the lake for church. As usual, I was blessed beyond belief, and my heart refreshed by God. Nothing makes your soul soar more, that standing to being your worship, as all begin to sing as one, ... " One glad morning when this life is or, I'll fly away! To a home on God's celestial shore, I'll fly away!" Boy now...does that EVER get you pumpin' first thing in the morning. After that, it was difficult to sit still!!!! LOL And...as usual, Mike, Lee's cousin, had an excellent sermon...and naturally had us laughing, as he so often does. He's not your "normal" preacher! lol (just thought of something I'll send ya...sill do that when I'm done here.)
We visited a bit after church, then loaded up the cars, and headed off to Lebanon. It was great to see Mom and Dad. It had been awhile. My dad's not too good. It's very long and drawn out. He has had so many test, I couldn't begin to remember them all, and they all come back looking great! Blood...kidneys, bladder, cat scans, mri's...but, for some reason, he continues to have severe weakness. He eats great..but it gives him no strength. He needs help in the bath, getting dressed, in and out of bed, and drs. just aren't sure what is causing it. Every test they've preformed has come back fine. He was in the hosp, a couple of weeks ago...had a weak spell, and mom called 911. He was in the hospital for a couple of days, and they did determine that he'd had a mini storke, but the weakness has been long before this. Just keep him in your prayers that drs. can figure out what is causing this weakness, and can hopefully do something to help out.
Of couse, like Mike, Paula, Kelsey, and so many others at church, Mom and Dad thought Mary was beautiful. Not long after we got there, we ordered some pizza's and Lee and Landon went to pick them up. Mom spends all her time with Dad, so can't spend the time cooking and putting together dinners like she use to. But...we are all pizza lovers, and none of us had a problem with that...plus...no big mess to clean up. lol
My day was FABULOUS, as I said...until about 12:30...just as we were pulling in to our street. I had just come off the exit ramp to Prathersville road...where I go right...then left, then an immediate right again, onto our street. As I came off the exit ramp, a car was coming around the corner in front of me. As he passed, I could see that it was a Boone CountY Sheriff. The Sheriff's office and jail, are just about 3-4 miles from our house, so we see them quite often. After he passed, I glanced back in my rear view mirror, just intime to see him do a U'ie in the middle of the road. I am less than a 1/4 mile from my house, and as I turn the corner onto my road, I see his lights come on in back of me. I could NOT believe this...we've been on the road for 1 1/2...had a long day...Moriah has school the next day, and he pulls me over just about 1,000 ft. from my front door. The minute I saw the lights, I looked over at Lee, and said, "What did I do?" He didn't know. I had done NOTHING wrong. Well...Mr. Sheriff informs me...in this order, mind you...the reason I pulled you over is.... "you failed to dim your lights when you passed me." !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You GOT to be kidding!!! He had just watched me come off the interstate, and barely had time to streighten my car out of the turn before he passed me. I will admit, that I forgot they were on, BUT...a simple flash of his lights, is all it would have taken. Next, he informs me, the light bulb is out on my license plate. Well, okay, grant it, I know you're suppose to have one, but the car was just inspected, so I figured it worked. I informed him that I wasn't aware that the bulb was out. Next...he tells me that the plates on my car, don't belong to this car....that they belong to a buick. Well, yeah, they use to be on the buick, BUT, I just got all this done, and trasferred last week, and I immediately told him that the plates WERE registed to this car, and HERE IS MY PAPERWORK. So...needless to say, and I'm SURE glad that he didn't give me a ticket...I would have NOT been happy...when he saw my paperwork to the car...my insurance, my license, and informed me that a bulb cost a $1...(he was WRONG...it cost me $1.60...hehehehehe). BUT, his #1 reason, or so he said at the beginning, for pulling me over, was because I didn't dim my lights. I highly respect the law. You could NOT pay me enough money to do their job, but when something this foolish...as not dimming my lights, gets me pulled over, when I live less than a mile from a trailer park that is full of sexual molesters, and dope dealers, I'm sorry, but that tends to just bend me outta shape, JUST a tad! Not to mention it wasn't the BEST ending to my Mother's Day.
Okay...now that I've had my "sound-off" lol! I got some pictures yesterday of my Mom and Dad and Mary...and Kenny and Gabriel too. I will get them posted tomorrow sometime...probably not till I get home from work, it's getting too late to mess with it now. I'm too tired, and probably couldn't get it to even work right. lol
So, since this thing has turned into a major book, I think, from it's length, I'm gonna head outta here and hit the sack. It was late last night when I got to bed, so need to try and get there a bit earlier tonight. I'll get Pictures posted tomorrow...and that other thing I said I was going to send to...
Hope you had a great day, and a wonderful evening. Have a GREAT tomorrow!
Much love,
Lev
Sunday Scripture
HAVE A WONDERFUL
LORD'S DAY
AND
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
A Mother's Crown
Heaven lit up with His mighty presence,
As all the angels looked down,
Today the Lord was placing the Jewels,
In all the Mother's Crowns.....
As He held up a golden crown,
As All the Mother's looked on,
He said in His gentle voice,
i just want to explain each stone.....
He held the 1st gem in His hand,
But the radiance couldn't match His own,
for He was the lite of Heaven,
reflecting off each of the Stones...
The 1st Gem, He said, is an Emerald,
And its for Endurance alone,
for all the nites you waited up,
For your children to come home.
For all the nights by their bedside,
You stayed till the Fever went down,
For nursing every little wound,
I Add This Emerald To Your Crown...
A Ruby, I'll place by the Emerald,
For leading your child in the right way,
For if you hadn't taught them about me,
They wouldn't be here with you today...
For always being right there,
Through all life's important events,
I give you a Sapphire Stone,
For the time and love you spent...
For untying the strings that held them,
When they grew up and left home,
I give you this one for Courage,
Then the Lord added an Amethyst Stone...
I'll place a Stone of Garnet,
He said,For all the times you spent on your knees,
When you asked me to take care of your children,
And them for having Faith In Me...
I have a Pearl for every little sacrifice,
That you made without them knowing,
For all the times you went without,
To keep them Happy, Healthy and Growing....
And last of all I have a Diamond,
The greatest of all Gems,
For those Mother's who lost their children,
When they came Home to Heaven before them...
This is the most Precious Sacrifice,
So, I give the most Precious Stone,
For I know just how you felt,
I Too Lost A Child Of My Own...
After the Lord placed the last Jewel in the Crown
,He said, Heaven is Now Complete,
For every Mother has Her Crown of Jewels,
And all Her Children are at Her Feet....
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
The U in JesUs
Before U were thought of or time had begun,
God stuck U in the name of His Son.
And each time U pray, you'll see it's true,
You can't spell out JesUs and not include U.
. You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name,
For U, He was born; that's why He came
And His great love for U is the reason He died.
It even takes U to spell crUcified.
Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand
He rose from the dead, with U in His plan?
The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew
, and this word resUrrection is spelled with a U.
When JesUs left earth at His upward ascension,
He felt there was one thing He just had to mention.
"Go into the world and tell them it's true
That I love them all - Just like I love U."
So many great people are spelled with a U,
Don't they have a right to know JesUs too?
It all depends now on what U will do,
He'd like them to know,
But it all starts with U.
Will YOU pass it on?
TGIF
Well, here I am...dressed up with no place to go...hehehehehe. Well, I can't say that I'm "dressed up"...just my jeans and a sweatshirt, as it's pretty cool here this morning, but, I was dressed and ready to head out to work, until my phone rang, and it was Aaron, telling me he wouldn't be back home by 10. He had told me yesterday that he was going out of town last night, to visit him mom for Mother's Day...he is from Illinois, not far over the MO/IL line...not far from St. Louis. He said he planned on coming back home before today, but that incase he didn't, he'd call and let me know. About 11:30 last night, I assumed, that since he hadn't called me...and it being rather late, that meant he'd be back today, in order for me to go to work. Well...my phone rang a little after 9, and it was him, letting me know that he wouldn't be back by 10...when I normally show up at his house. I was afraid that this might happen...I really needed the hours today, plus, today is my payday, and I really need that, as I have bills I have to pay today. But...hopefully, he said that when he gets back later, he may be able to use me for a couple of hours...just not at the normal time, but if not...he is at least going to meet me when he gets back into town, to pay me for the week. So....that is good, at least.
So...here I was, dressed and ready to head to work, and now, am not going to be going...or at least for awhile anyway. It's not like I'm dressed with "no" place to go...lol...like I said, I have to get out sometime today and pay some bills...my gas, and my cell...before I get cut off. But, I will probably wait till I hear from Aaron again, and will go pay those later today, when I meet up with him to get my pay. Just so I get them paid today, I will be okay. It would be sorta silly to make a bunch of extra trips, when I can wait and do it all at once.
Finally...Landon got the car/buick taken in Wed. to have them do some work on it, and inspect it...a brake line needed to be fixed. They called yesterday, the car done, inspected,....and it PASSED....thank God, so we went last night...I dropped him off, to pick it up. He works today, but will head into Columbia, when he gets off to go to the license bureau, and get new tags for the buick...which means I can have my "1" back...we've been "fudgin' "....we've had the license plates from the buick...one on the buick, one on the caddy...until I could get my tags, etc...and the such. Now, that I've changed over my plates, the license plate that is on the buick, is now, no longer registered to the buick, but to my caddy...so we've just been holding our breath, and praying that he wouldn't get stopped, and be caught driving a car with plates that aren't registered to that car. But, with both of us needing our cars, we just had no other choice by to try and do it this way, and pray for some favor till we could get all this accomplished. It just can't all be done in one day, and just takes time to try and get everything done. Anyway...once he gets his license plates today, we can breath a sigh of relief, that all our cars...for the first time in quite awhile, are ALL legal!
We are going to go to Lebanon Sunday, to visit my Mom and Dad...with it being Mother's Day. I'd like to say that I know who is going to be able to go, but unfortunately....I don't. Originally, ...as of last weekend, we were all...Landon, the kids, Lee, Moriah and I, were going to go. Landon was going to say something to them at Mc Donald's about us going out of town for mother's day, and was going to do what he could to see that he and Moriah could both get the day off. I had told him that I didn't want Moriah working on Mother's Day. Unfortunately, he didn't get anything said, and now here it is, Friday, and he and Moriah are both on the schedule for Sunday morning...the time we would need to leave to head to Lebanon. I called yesterday to talk to the manager about Moriah getting off, but the manager that is going to be working on Sunday, wasn't there, and he is the one I need to talk to. He will be in today at 11, so I will be calling him them to see what I can do about Moriah working. Hopefully, he will let her have the day off. Landon is scheduled to have Sat. off, and work Sunday, so basically, he just needs to find someone that will swap days with him, and he seems to think that he won't have any trouble doing that. I sure hope not. We all wanted to be able to go, because, as of yet, my mom and dad haven't seen Mary, and she's a little over 3 mos. old. I am sooooo hoping that Landon can get off, but I told him, that if he had to work, that we'd just pack up the kids, and take them with us...to which he didn't object. Hopefully, we will all be able to go, if not, at least my Mom and Dad will be able to see the great grandkids,...and their newest on...Mary. I'm a little ticked at Landon that he didn't say anything about the schedule at the beginning of the week...when it would have probably been alot easier to schedule these days off...I suppose he could tell that I wasn't real happy about the fact that he still hadn't said anything....and I let him know that I wouldn't be too happy if something happened that they wouldn't let Moriah off. So...guess we'll know something before too much longer, as Gary is suppose to be in to work within the next 45 mins. or so....I'll give him a call then. Moriah does work tomorrow morning, so we'll take her to Landon's sometime today...or tonight when Lee gets off...not sure which.
I guess I need to take advantage of this extra time off....and do SOMETHING with this house...hehehehehehe....it could sure use it. But...whether I do or not, will be another story...lol. I'm sure I'll do something at sometime...but I'm just not gonna be in too much of a rush to jump in right now...I'm enjoying this time at the puter...sippin' my coffee.
I've got a plant that I need to repot....I might do that later this afternoon, if it warms up. It's a little chilly now. It's a big palm, and it's not going to be the easiest to do, and I sure don't want to be shivering the whole time I'm outside trying to replant it. So, maybe this afternoon it will warm up a bit...and this wind die down, hopefully.
When I took Landon to get his car yesterday, I noticed that one of the small shoppes there in Ashland...one I had said I'd like to go look in, had their web address on the window. I wrote it down so that I could have a look when I got home to the puter. It looks as though it would be a neat little place to shop...I love that kind of stuff anyway....have a look if you'd like.
http://www.victoriasuzanne.com
Let's see...what else. It think I told you that I'd added some new pictures to my picture page on my blog... 1,000 words... well, since then, I have also added a whole new catagory..."Animals". I've also added some new pictures in the grandkids pages.... There's one under "family affair"...a new one of Kirk and Eva... and more of Eva, under her page, and some new ones of mary added to her page. Hope you'll all take time to go have a look at my cuties!
I'm going to be deleting some of the pictures I have stored n my puter...I have so many, and the memory left of my c drive, is slowly deminishing...I have so many. I'm going to do my best to remember which pictures I've used, so that I don't delete those that I am, but if you visit one of my pages, and a picture isn't working, please excuse. Eventually, I'll get around to checking them all, and if a pict. is missing, can hopefully get it replaced.
Well, guess I'll head outta here. This has turned into an epic! lol Hope you all have a great day! I'll be back to check in later.
Much love,
A "TRUE" American!
It is time to change from REDNECK humor to TRUE AMERICAN Humor! Only I don't see it as Humor, but the correct way to LIVE YOUR LIFE ! If you feel the same, pass this on to your True American friends. Ya'll know who ya' are...
You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: It never occurred to you to be offended by the phrase, "One nation, under God."
You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You've never protested about seeing the 10 Commandments posted in public places.
You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You still say "Christmas" instead of "Winter Festival."
Droppin' in for a "HI"
So, how is everybody doing on this Tuesday? There's not much going on here. I have been home from work for about an hour or so. I left there a little after noon, and then had to run a package by the post office to mail. We had some books that were mailed to Melbourne, Australia, and there's always certain things that have to be done when sending packages overseas. Anything that goes on a plane, has to "personally" handled by someone at the post office, and they "have" to ask me if there are any liquids, harmful chemicals, or potentially hazordous materials in the box. Boy, it has gotten really crazy, when it comes to mail, and all that is now going on with terrorism. It is a shame! We laughed and joked a little, although, it is a really serious situation, but anyway, a couple of years ago, Amanda's mom....Landon's wife, Amanda, mailed a package to her daughter that lives in England. It was a Christmas present, and Tom and Kristine had gotten Gwen, their daughter a clock for Christmas. Well....with a box that "ticks"...needless to say, the box was ripped apart and searched. I honestly don't know if it ever reached Gwen or not. But...you can only imagine that when a box starts ticking at the post office, it's going to RAISE SOME EYEBROWS! Kristine could have kicked herself, she said, as she NEVER thought to take the battery out of the clock. Had she...it could have all been avoided.
So...anyway, now that I'm home, naturally, my first stop has to be the puter. lol Had to drop in and see what all had been going on since I left, even though it was only a couple of hours before. I talked to Landon when I got off...he's coming in to Columbia, and is going to stop by while he's here. I got a little something for him, and told him that....lol....so, maybe he won't forget to stop by.
Like me...he's been wanting to set up an aquarium. I did....after working for Aaron now, and he having fish, I naturally decided I was gonna do one. Well...once Landon saw mine, that's all it took. lol. Landon and Amanda got their income tax back...finally, and have had to dump alot of money into bills and stuff to catch up....but, he has worked hard for his money, and has spent a little of the refund on himself....can't say that I blame him, or that he doesn't deserve to be able to do that. I feel it's okay, when you work that hard for your money...to reward yourself....especially after you've forked out so much to get caught up, and priorities handled first. So...he has spent some money on a new stereo for the buick...and I'll admit, the radio was about gone. You couldn't even see the numbers to know what station you were on....lol....and he went out and "splurged" on a fish tank.....55 Gal. It has it's own stand because it's sooo big!!!!! But...it is beautiful! He got the tank, and assesories?....accesories?..... at Walmart, but said that everyone of their fish looked like they were about to die.... so, he has this HUGE tank, with only 2 snails in it. lol I got the snails the other day for Kenny and Gabriel...they're Golden Snails, and they're about the size of a half dollar...they're huge, but still get lost in a tank that size. lol But, they seem to love their new home. Anyway.... I talked to Aaron today about some of his fish, and told him that I'd like to buy a couple from him....mind you, all he has is guppies....and another kind, that is a little more rare...can't remember the name, but he's not selling any of them yet...he's trying to breed them, but, he did have a couple of guppies that he just gave me...some he's had for awhile, his own personal ones, I guess. They're in a different tank from the Yellow Tail and Purple Tail guppies, that are in the other tanks. So...Landon will have a whole 2 snails, and 2 guppies to put in his tank now. And we thought the snails would be lost in that much water.....these guppies will definately disappear...as small as they are...you'll have to search forever to find them. Sometime this afternoon, I need to clean my tank, and add some fresh water to it. It's been about a week since I set it up, and I've already delt with Ich....a disease, so am treating the water, and some needs to be taken out and replace with fresh, along with more treatments for the water. It doesn't take long to do...maybe 15-20 mins. Landon, will probably only have to clean his once every 4-5 months, I'd say...maybe 6. That's just a guess. A smaller tank gets much dirtier,....more stuff in less space. With his that big, and depending on what kind of fish he gets, I don't think he'll have to do it very often. He said it took him almost 2 hours to fill it.
I really need to try and get a bit of housework done this afternoon too. I've got stuff piled on the couch in the living room, that's been here I know at least a week....lol Guess it's time to put it away. And, as usual, I still have laundry that has to be caught up, so maybe I can get some of that done to. I'm hoping that I'll have a little more time to keep up with this stuff now, since I won't be playing taxi for Landon, now that he has a car, and his license. Not that I minded....landon and I enjoy spending time together....and I'm happy to do it. It did make it a little tough gas wise...especially since gas has gone so crazy, but...they're your kids...so what do you do. As long as I'm breathing, and capable...I'll be there to help with whatever might come up....taxi to babysitter to bill payer.....and a WHOLE lot of prayer! Maybe before long, I'll get my second wind and get up and get busy. If I'll just do that, I really don't think it will take me long to get done what I need to do. Guess it's really not that bad. I've definately seen it worse! lol
Well.....guess there's not much going on....or can't think of anything anyway. So...guess I'll try hitting this house, and the fish tank...not sure which one first. I'll be back later to check in on what all's going on. Hope you all have a wonderful afternoon!
Much love,
Lev
Dropping in on the weekend
It is late...1:24 am, Sunday morning, but I'm going to take a bit of time to drop in and say "HI", at least.
Not much of anything different has been going on. I worked all week, except Wed., Aaron was out of town. I suppose having the day off was nice, but it made for a bit of a short paycheck. Maybe it will pick up a little next week.
I stayed up Friday night/Sat...till amost 4am...lol, so wasn't too surprised when I didn't wake up till almost noon on Saturday morning. Well, I was up about 7:30, but that was only to make a quick trip to the "john". lol Then it was right back in bed I crawled!!!! It will sure be nice to not have to get up tomorrow either...till I want to, that is. I love my Sunday mornings....Lee watching TV, and me at the puter, with my coffee, checking in to see what all has been going on with you, while I've been away.
I've added some new stuff...pictures, etc., and some re-arranging on my blog home page, so hope you'll have a look. I think I told you a new video has been added to the music page, and there have been a few new pictures added to the picture page(worth a 1,000 words). You can also now access my Yahoo 360 Blog, from my Lev's Notes homepage. It's on the left, under "My Web Homes". I'm happy to see that my friend Luzi joined me on yahoo 360...glad to have you as a friend there, Luzi!
Moriah worked this weekend, so she's in Ashland, at Landon's. We're going out tomorrow, will do supper, and she'll come home tomorrow night.
We FINALLY, have some "legal" cars in this household. lol Our old dodge, that we gave landon and amanda, passed inspection...after replacing only a blinker switch. lol The car had not been running,....barely, or driven, for almost 3 yrs....and passed inspection, other than that little light. Talk about an answer to prayer! So...Landon has now gotten his car licensed...or one of them...working on the other one...he has gotten insurance on both of his cars...and has gotten his drivers license back...finally! There are some extenuating circumstances around that, and I ask you all to please keep Landon in your prayers, regarding that situation. God needs to interveen...big time, in his behalf. He has always stuck by him...and we are confident that He will continue to do so. Please keep us all in your prayers.
I finally got my insurance on both my cars, and my taxes paid, and license plates on the Caddy. I also had to get my drivers license renewed...they were due to expire on my birthday, the 23rd, of this month. So...while at the license bureau, I went ahead and did it....sure didn't want to have to go back again. It's always such a pain in the butt. lol So, now I'm good till May 23 of 2012. Wow...does that ever look stange!!!!! Reminds me of that old rock and roll song...and feel stupid, cause i can't remember who sang it,(but something tells me that Michael will know) .... "in the year 2525"....that always use to sound like such a looooooooooong way off! Man...I just don't understand where it all went!
Well, can't think of much else going on. So, suppose it's time to head outta here, and point myself in the direction of my bed. The sooner I get there, the sooner I can be back here with my coffee. lol
Hope you all had a great day! Hope your tomorrow is BEAUTIFUL!
Much love,
Newborn
Newborn
Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born. The child asked God,
"They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going
to live there being so small and helpless?" God replied, "Among the angels,
I'll choose one for you. Your angel willbe waiting for you and will take care
of you." The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have
to do anything but sing and smile to be happy." God said, "Your angel will
sing for you and will also smile for youeveryday. And you will feel your
angel's love and be very happy." Again the child asked, "And how am I going
to be able to understand when> people talk to me if I don't know the language?"
God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you
will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you
how to speak." "And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"
God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach youhow to pray."
"I've heard that on Earth there are bad people.Who will protect me?"
God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life."
"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore." God said,
"Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach youthe way
to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you." At that
moment there was much peace in heaven, but voices from Earth could
be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please
tell me my angel's name." Her name is not important.....
You will simply call her "Grandma".
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL GRANDMA'S!
Why Women Cry
Why Women Cry
A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm a woman," she told him. "I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will." Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?" "All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry. Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?" God said: "When I made the woman she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort. I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children. I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining. I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly. I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart. I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly. And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed." "You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides."
